My husband quit his good paying job at a dealership service department to go to work as a service advisor here. He quickly realized he had made a HUGE mistake. My husband refused to sell people things they did not need. Resulting in his termination.
First couple of days he worked there, a older guy comes into the store, he had run out of gas. My husband went to the gas station, got the gentlemen gas for his vehicle, charged the man for the gas and got him back on the road. The owner was so pissed at my husband for not selling the man a fuel pump that he did not need, he was in my husbands face yelling at him that he needs to make money off of every customer that walks thru the door. He knew right then that this was a Dirty Shop! Drivers Edge will RIP YOU OFF! Sell you things that you DO NOT NEED!!! They are VERY high pressure sales and they will stop at nothing to make those sells and meet there daily quota.
There are SOOOO many stories that it makes my stomach turn! Customers being sold ball joints that they do not need, and they didn't even put the new ones on the vehicle. Power Steering pumps ect...
Gentlemen needed a new selonoid put on his tranny, and they told him his tranny was shot and they sold him a new transmission. What should of been a $500.00 repair turned into $2100.00 new tranny.
At the end of the day, if they are busy and you come in for a oil change, you very well might get the dump and pump treatment. ( thats what they call it) Dump the oil, drop new in and not even bother to change the filter. And no, this is NOT a honest over sight. This is done purposley.
This business needs to be EXPOSED for what it is! Please tell your friends so they can tell there friends..... Stay away from Drivers Edge Stores. ALL OF THEM! There are several in the area and they are all CROOKS! People should not be heisted out of there hard earned money. Please spread the word, awareness is the only way to stop these heartless criminals from preying on innocent people. In the 13 years that my husband has been selling service at reputable dealership service Departments he has NEVER ran across a dirty shop. I don't know how this people sleep at night.......
Just drive right by people.. Don't stop thinking you'll save $$ by avoiding a dealership, cuz in the end you could fall victim to Drivers Edge and they'll be laughing at you as you are walking out the door as they got away with scamming you out of your hard earned money.

Took it in for A/C repair and ABS brake sensor. $1500 later these were fixed, but they torqued one of the lug nuts so tight it could not be removed (I can't prove it, but appears to have been supper glued because 850 ft/lb torque would not remove it). 1997 2500 Chevy PU. Nothing like having a flat tire on Sunday, at 6 am, in middle of nowhere Alabama, and no way to remove wheel. Would be wise to avoid this place. I've never complained about repair work before, but this place is beyond the norm.

Took the car in to have three items of work done at Driver's Edge (Morriss Road in Flower Mound):
(1). Regular oil change, (2). fix wiring problem in a headlight, (3). fix A/C.
Firstly, the $29.95 oil change "special" came in at $32.45 before tax which I thought was odd.
Secondly, the "repaired" A/C stopped working within 12 hours (after paying $397.85). I took it back and they told me that it would cost me an extra $200 to fix as it was "a different part"!! NO COMMON SENSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Initially they had also tried adding in the $19.99 A/C 'system check' fee to my original bill. This was after they had told me that they would waive it if I had the work done! Luckily I spotted this little scam before I paid.
To add insult to injury, the headlight stopped working within 24 hours of their "repair"! This they at least rectified (embarrassed).
All this in addition to the several extra "repairs" that I apparently needed.
Avoid these people like the plague.

Liars and scam artists. Buyer beware of these crooks! Both locations in Flower Mound are the same. You cannot take a vehicle in without getting a list of other things that are supposedly wrong. Even a simple oil change can turn into a major overhaul!

I have taken my two cars to Driver's Edge several times for oil change and inspections. I have noticed a strange pattern. Every time I pick up my car, there is something else wrong with it. Yesterday, I took my van in for an oil change. When I picked it up, it wouldn't start. The mechanics looked at it, got it started and said nothing was wrong with it. And even though they supposedly just checked the tire pressure - the low tire pressure light is now on. This happened once before when I dropped off the same van for brake work. When I picked it up, the brakes were worse - completely useless. Luckily I didn't drive very far before I noticed it. They fixed the problem quickly. I suspect that they are under pressure to do work quickly and consequently do a sloppy job. I won't be taking any of my cars here again.
