I feel so fortunate that a place like Curio opened up in my neighborhood. The food is tasty, organic and reasonably priced. The vibe is relaxing and very family centered. Lots of places make diners with small children feel unwelcome - at Curio they are treated respectfully as a valued customer. They recently opened for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights from 6 to 10 pm. While the menu is small - I have had the skirt steak and the picola pasta and both were delicious and the portions were more than generous.

Curio Cafe would be easy to miss; it is located on a side street in the Avondale neighborhood, right in between houses and across from a church. However, this is a restaurant that should not be overlooked. The food, mostly organic, is great. They make wonderful french toast, sandwiches, and their soups are some of the best I have tasted. In addition to great food, this is also an extremely family friendly restaurant. They have an area for children to play, a chalkboard wall, and nursing chairs. The two owners are very accomodating and unbelievably friendly. If you are looking for fresh food that is reasonably priced, and you want to feel comfortable and cozy while eating it, then Curio Cafe is the perfect choice.
