Arts & Basics for Children is a Pre-School located in Greensboro, NC, catering to children ages 2-5. Since 1981, Arts & Basics for Children has kept children's education their main priority. We teach all the basics from Math, Science, Pre-reading and English. We also teach art, dance, Spanish, piano, violin, recorder, rhythm instruments, songs, and poetry. Arts & Basics is a Cultural Arts Based Pre-School dedicated to helping children grow and become well rounded individuals. Arts & Basics offers 3 Summer Camp sessions which are the weeks of May 26, June 2 and June 9 from 8:30am-1pm. Arts & Basics for Children enriches Greensboro's children with a cultural arts based preschool curriculum to prepare your children for a bright future. Love the atmosphere and families!

Great support, staff. Kids are very well-attuned to each other, largely. There is a parent group that has great ideas and has a good start this spring doing more, including fixing up the playground, for example. Our daughter made huge leaps in language and socialization,
Pros: Parent involvement, music programs, friendships
Cons: biggest room (lunch & programs) is very uninspiring

Comfortable environment, quality program, great introduction to school and new friends

This program has been an excellent fit for our two younger sons. They have blossomed each year, excited to learn their letters and words that begin with each one. They come home telling us about musicians and artists they've learned about during the week. The variety of the lessons, from Spanish to music to letters to art, introduces the children to so many different aspects important to learning. The school gives them plenty of time to play and explore independently while providing enough structure to help prepare them for elementary school and beyond. We've been extremely pleased with the quality of the program and its teachers. Most importantly, my boys wake up eager to go to school each day!

Great Opportunity in Education!

This school has been around for 25 years and has kept the children's education the main priority! They teach all the basics (math, science, pre-reading, etc) AND they teach art, dance, spanish, french, piano, violin, recorder rythm instruments and the computer! It's such a great school they have fun and learn something at the same time, really becoming well rounded children! They even offer an afterschool program too! You should check them out!

Learning community

Arts & Basics has been a wonderful experience for my daughters. They have made friends, learned multiple instruments , learned the basics of reading and began speaking the basics of a foreign language. The staff is professional and friendly. Any and all needs or concerns are met with true understanding and grace. On top of all that, my children have made lasting friendships. It is the greatest example of a learning community that cares...
