Ketzal Mexican Grill

We had a great time, it was light and friendly. The fantastic dips (6) that arrive with great chips as soon as you sit down are delicious!!!! We've gone several time and the food is always good. Service is good, and drinks are more creative than just the traditional ones. I go more for salads and lettuce wrap tacos, rest of the party have had it all and we liked it all. We share. If you want cheese on your order just ask for it. It is a child friendly place! We've enjoyed the live music on Saturday nights!

This has become my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant here in Phoenix. The very first time I went there was for of course mere curiosity. But, when I was served my carne asada tacos in fresh homemade flour tortillas, I new it was love!! The flair is really art deco, but the food is that of traditional Mexico. Eating at Ketzal really brings me back to the beaches of the Riviera Maya. Not to mention that the staff is extremely friendly and usually one of the owners is there to make sure you are truly enjoying your experience. Another nice feature is the karaoke on Thursday night which makes this a nice stop for the family, kids can sing and parents can enjoy a nice margarita as well as on Saturday nights, you can enjoy the sounds of live music while you enjoy your dinner.
I highly recommend it, although it is quite far from the "urban" Phoenix area, it will be worth the drive especially coming down Carefree Hwy from the East!
