I've tried two Afghani restaurants in Chicago and this is the BEST. (I fell in love with Afghani food in Germany of all places.) They are courteous, offering to explain the menu and helped me make a grand choice-- I asked for the Kabuli Palaw with the Spicy Chicken Kabob instead of the lamb, and they were happy to accommodate me. The rice which comes with that dish is brown with carrots and raisins which is so very good I will fail at explanation. I have since had the lamb with said dish which was good, but lamb tends to be very rich for me. The spicy chicken kabob was very well seasoned without being over the top.

Even when ordering take-out, it was about a 20+ minute wait so be prepared. And it is right down from the Mosque on Elston so parking is easier to the East of the restaurant.
