Message from Emerald Vine Massage
I aspire to create an environment of health and healing through an artful blend of techniques, a sensitive touch, and a compassionate spirit. My mission is to inspire my clients to become active participants in their own wellness by stirring within them a curiosity about how the emotional, mental, and physical are interconnected, and how these connections can create ripples of change in their soft tissues and internal structures. On the long, windy road that lead me to massage, I have had previous lives in child care, photographic development, education, and administration, to name a few; and I am incredibly grateful to have arrived at a place where I am able to incorporate so many of my interests, skills, and values to help people. I studied at the Brian Utting School of Massage, where I learned techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Injury Treatment, Anterior Neck Work, Deep Muscle Therapy, Neuromuscular Treatment, Muscle Energy Technique, and Pregnancy Massage. As a student, I had an 8 month internship with a Cranial Chiropractor in Bellevue, WA.

As a former Massage Therapist for eight years, I'm a pretty tough customer when it comes to massage. I looked for a few years after moving to Seattle to find a therapist I liked. I finally found one. Shaina really knows her stuff and obviously cares a great deal about her clients. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has both the technical knowledge and educated touch to complement her instincts in assisting the body to heal.
On one occasion I went to her with severe sciatic pain that physical therapy had not alleviated. One massage relieved 90% of my pain.

What an awesome lady that really knows her stuff!!

After 3 back surgeries, I was in Seattle for almost a month at a pain clinic. While that was helping some, I had a consistent pain down my leg that they weren't helping. I've had tons of massages (weekly for 3 years) and thought perhaps one would help this. I found an ad for Emerald Vine. The only problem is I didn't find it soon enough or I would have seen Shaina at least once a week for the whole time I was in Seattle. She's the best. The pain went away. But I went back anyway, just because she's so good. I wanted to bring her back to Alaska with me, but thought our spouses might have something to say about that.
She cares enough to follow up with me after I got home to see how I was doing and share some more information she thought would help.
I would strongly suggest you give her a try!

Shaina accentuates her outstanding massage therapy skills with a wholesome character, empathy for those who are in pain, personal warmth and caring, and a very detailed knowledge of the human body.
As I age, I find my body in an ever deepening battle with muscle discomfort. Her gift of knowing exactly where to look and probe for clues to the sources of irritation and discomfort consistently improves my quality of life.
Thank you, Shaina, for your insights and commitment to unraveling my pain. I encourage others to trust Shaina with her very capable and outstanding body interpretation.
