Studio 26 is the new sleek and modern salon located in Studio City. It has a bright airy quality with white walls, windows and fire engine red salon furniture. The first level is for hair. Studio 26 specializes in hair cuts, hair colors and hair extensions. Alex Avshalom is the artist behind the hair and is recognized in Los Angeles for his unique sense of style. The upstairs features a large room with views out to Ventura Blvd where you can sit and relax while your hands and feet get pampered with a spa manicure and pedicure. Towards the rear of Studio 26 there are private rooms for bed tanning, spray tanning, waxing, facials, eyelash extensions, electrolysis, permanent makeup and eyebrow grooming. This new salon also features make-up artists, special bridal packages, and gift certificates. Studio 26 is a truly unique experience that will have you wanting more!

They claim to be an upscale salon but if you go to get a manicure or pedicure the lady who does it doesn't even change her gloves or instruments in between clients...she doesn't even sanitize her instruments! To be paying this much for that type of low-grade service is ridiculous!! The lady does a half-done job and thinks that she is high class ( but really is only snotty). I would never recommend this place to anyone. I am surprised that they are still in business despite their unsanitary practices. Also..the prices are not posted so that they can jack up the prices and tell you whatever they want. My friends and I went to get manicures and pedicures and the asian lady who does them lied to us about the prices of them! When I called over the phone, they tell you one price and when you get there they charge you another. She overcharged us by $60 thinking that we wouldn't know! I found out because my friend saw a tiny board on the side with prices that was to be used by the employees. For such a new salon to be doing these types of things will definitely cause them to flunk. Absolutely not recommended...save your money and use it for an upscale salon that is actually worth it! I was immediately offered a latte, espresso, or cappuccino. It was deliscious! The moment I walked in, I felt as if I had been taking a stroll in Europe and stumbled upon this salon. They have every ammenity you could ever want in one place. Alex is the best hair stylist I have ever had my hair done by. He made recommendations that would be best for me based on my face shape and skin color. He is very experienced and extremely talented. I love my cut, I love my color, and I love the place. I'm definitely going back! Pros: It's a one stop shop. I can get everything done in one visit. Great service and great atmosphere. Cons: Parking, but who doesn't have that problem in this city? ALEX WOULDN'T TELL THE PRICES ON SERVICES OVER THE PHONE SAYING THAT HE WILL GIVE YOU THE BEST PRICE WHICH IS COMPLETELY LAME. So far I have gotten a hair cut and style from Alex which was gorgues. I dont trust people easily with my hair. I had my hair blown out and styled by 3 others who work there, all different times. Im very impressed.You can tell these people have high standards. I love the environment and the shampoo chairs have body massagers. I love this place.
