Night Owl Deliveries

The drivers are always chronically late, the customer service is both rude and useless (not a very good combination I must say).

My advice, use:

Delivery.com
Mixmenu.com
Eatnow.com

Instead. They are not perfect but a HELL!!! of a lot better than Nightowl Deliveries

I placed an order at 7:25pm online. Received confirmation email at 7:30 saying estimated delivery time at 8:30 (expensive and long delivery time). At 9:10 i call night owl, only to be greeted by a rude receptionist. I asked her to check on my order, on hold for 5 minutes, she comes back and says they don't have record of it. I told her i received a confirmation email, on hold for 5 minutes, this time she found it. She told me someone forgot to send a delivery guy to pick up the food and that he would go get it now. No apology. I had already tipped online, which she said she would remove (never happened). My food was cold when it arrived almost 3 hours after being placed. This is not my first bad experience with night owl. I can't recall a good one. Not worth your time and money.

Right out Of Kafka. At 12:59PM, ordered a nice meal from Charley's in Boston, Nightowl is Expensive but what the heck. Placed order on the web, email acknowledgement received estimating delivery at 2:19PM. at 2:30 I called, once, disconncted, called again, hung up on. Finally spoke with Vinny who said they could not find the order, that they were having trouble with the web site. After about 5 minutes of lying to me, apologized said they would redo the order, Free of charge. Two Hamburgers finally arrive at 4:20PM in the afternoon. FOOD WAS COLD AS ICE, ABSOLUTELY had been cooked at least two and a half hours before they picked it up and delivered. So after three and a half hours, MY WIFE AND I GOT STONE COLD MEAL, you know what STONE COLD MEDIUM RARE BURGERS TASTE LIKE. Make You SICK. I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME ON NIGHTOWL DELIVERY. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

I order food delivery about two to three times a week. I have used all the services, Mixmenu/Diningin/Takeouttaxi/Nightowl. All are very similar and in terms of service are about the same. My comments are the following:

Diningin is overpriced and too corporate for me. Mixmenu is good but I live in Boston so no selection, Takeout Taxi is good but they close early and have very few restaurants. Nightowl has the most restaurant choices to my address, and unlike the others deliver convienence goods such as milk and tp. They also deliver booze which is great for preparty.

Sometimes things move slow for all these services but Night owl has been pretty on the ball. When they are late or mess up they always give me something free so I think its worth picking Nightowl out of the group.

I tried them a few times it was late a couple times, but you cant beat beer and pf changs delivered during a red sox game.. just dont order when it rains and you will be fine...

Unsatisfactory is an understatement. I used them 4 times and EVERY time they were late. When I phoned there customer service, they didnt even apologize. The upside was that on two of the orders, nothing was missing . Idiots.
