In Short
Anchoring the Downtown intersection of Central and Marietta for over 50 years, Walter's is one of the landmark sneaker stores in the Southeast. Beneath a colorful array of the latest selective sneakers from Nike, Puma, New Balance, & Adidas, lies a retirement home of dead stock gems. It's not unusual to snag finds like 70s-era Converse canvas boat shoes (a favorite of John F. Kennedy) for far less than you'd find on eBay. Sneakerheads from all over the globe travel to Walter??s to swim through the clearance section--which cost $29 a pair or 2 pairs for $50. With prices like that, it??s not surprising that rappers such as Rick Ross, scholar Cornel West and Ty Pennington (the home makeover guru) all ??remembered the name? Walter.
