I like that they have a lot of great songs in here. The last time I was here is last weekend, that was a blast as usual, I am a regular in here, I feel alive in here.

for those of you who dont like opera because you got a table and then your tab was double or triple the price you were quoted, dont be upset with opera. promoter will tell you anything to get you to get a table. the more tables they get people to buy the more money they make. so the promoter tell you that you and all 10 of your friends get a private table, 2 bottles of vodka and 2 bottles of champagne for $500. then you get your tab for $900. then you face going to jail if you dont pay. well once again dont get upset with opera. promoters arent opera staff. they give you a price then tell the staff what you want and you get it. only thing is the promoter never tells the staff about the deal he made with you. so opera charges you full price for everything. so basically what im telling you is dont deal with promoters at opera or anywhere else unless you kno them personally. just ask for jennifer at opera tell her Ron Rice sent you and she will take care of you. the only thing extra you will be charged is club tax.

We were there this past Friday and I honestly have to say it was the WORST display of customer service I have ever seen. The night started out ok, we were VIP so the wait to get in wasn't terrible and though even the VIP area was extrememly crowded, we still had a really good time...until we went to pay our bill.

My boyfriend was told by the bartender that his signature did not match the signature on his driver's license (which he signed years ago) and the bartended would not give him his card back until he signed it 'exactly as it appeared on his license'. Really????

Being frustrated, we called for a manager, which arrived with 2 Atlanta City Officers in tow and also made him keep signing the slip until it matched, which took until my boyfriend asked for a light so that he could actually see what it was he was signing....and wow...like majic he signed it perfectly.

Here's the best part, the retard bartended kept running his card as a new transaction every time that he had to sign. Thereby charging him 5 times for the same tab (fyi...on every cc machine there is a clearly labeled 'reprint' button)...making the charge for the night over $1k.

The credit card company has since refunded the money, but clearly this club thinks nothing of committing a little fraud. As for the Atlanta City Police Officers that basically stood by and watched the fraud and harrassment being committed, welll, we are filing a formal complaint against them.

I honestly, wish that I would have read some of the reviews before going to this place, as I probably would not have even gone.
To anyone that is thinking about going to this place....BEWARE...it really is as bad as the reviews say it is.

The bouncers are rude and are on a serious power trip, which I find laughable, since between all of them they may have the equivalent of a high school diploma.

Ok people I??m going to give you the good the bad and the ugly about this club, everything you will want to know for Thursday nights,

Cost to get into the club is 20.00 if you want Vip you will be additional 25.00, cost for a long island is 14.00 add on tip you will pay 16.00. and don??t forget the 10.00 to park. The Club its self is nice venue, didn??t know they closed at 2:45 though, it does get packed, over all I had a good time, the staff was courteous and the line did move fast

I've attended this space since 1150 was still in business. When the club changed hands and names, I still continued to frequent it. After my last experience, never again.

I have attended 6 Liquified events at Opera this year, I average about 10-12 for the year. I went to the Markus Schulz show and paid for my first few drinks with cash. As I was running low, I wanted to use my card. I went to the bar and was told there was a $20 minimum for card purchases so I opened a tab. The bartender took my card AND license. When I was done drinking, I attempted to close out my tab. After signing the receipt, the bartender advised me that my signature on the receipt didn't match the signature on my license (mind you, the signature on my license is from my first driver's license when I was sixteen, I am now twenty-seven). I asked the bartender how I could have a fraudulent ID to match the name on the debit card. He replies, "Oh, anyone can get a fake ID on the street."
I ask to escalate the issue to someone else, he tells me that he's the first and last stop. Not really wanting to make a scene, I sign my credit card slip THREE more times (for a total of four) before the guy decides to give me my card back.
I have dealt with a lot of crap at this venue from the staff, but this takes the cake. Their focus is clearly not on the customer, I would be wary before patronizing the establishment.

No, I'm not talking about the classic Marx Brother's film. I'm talking aabout the hottest night spot in Midtown, or Atlanta, just period.

Many of us native Atlantan's have seen the party scene change over the years, from the Limelight of the 80's(My personal all-time fave), to Peter Gatien's first club at this 1150 Peachtree location. And of course in later years, Club 1150. History abounds in Midtown, in the rear of the Histerical, I mean Historical Atlanta Women's Club structure.

What was once an elaborate 1929's theater, now stands Opera, in all it's high tech glory. The domed 20ft. ceiling, the private opera boxes, the detailed ornamentation, to the super hot sounds from some of the best DJ's in the country. Classic, but very hip. It's def the place to be.

Atlanta's diversity abounds at Opera. Nearby hotel guest from the Four Season's, Palomare, and the new Lowe's, are just a walk away , into Atlanta's most sophisticated club. Masterful Farhang Milani, keeps the club goers in the know, about all the special events, going on every night. Dress to impress.

they do not honor their guestlist. Last Fri., 6/11/2010, I received a guestlist e-mail for a free entry before 11:30. I drove 30 miles, paid parking and stayed on line for 25 minutes and was at the door 11:25 and presented the guestlist e-mail. Then, the guy checking the line said "we have a special event tonight and the guestlist is not valid but I can get you in for half price". I left because I can not deal with disrespectable, dihonorable people. However, I asked about the manager and told him the story and he confirmed a free guestlist entry before 11:30. Then, he talked with the line guy and came back saying it's a special event as if he did not know about it before!!!
Also, the drinks are way over-piced and the crowd is usually 10 men to 1 women ratio. There are better clubs in Atlanta such as Havana club and Primal club and they always honor their guestlists.

There is only one way to do Opera. You have to do VIP bottle service. You'll spend a little more money but if you have a large group of people it makes a huge difference. Waiting in line for drinks will take up the majority of your nights. Ellen Phon who runs the VIP services does an outstanding job of giving you the personalized service that you are paying for. It is worth every dime.

That being said this is a once every 6 months night for me.

I visit Opera about two to three times a month now for the past 4 or 5 months. First let me say that the venue is gorgeous and I am never disappointed in the cleanliness because there are guys that go around constantly cleaning after the drunk people who make a mess. We have gotten a table a few times and all the waitresses that i have had will run their ass for you to make sure you are happy. I have also had a problem with a guy that would not leave me alone and he was very drunk and he threw up in a garbage can that was nearby. I saw a security guard close by and he helped the guy outside. I see all the reviews saying how rough the guards are but they were nice to this drunk idiot so it makes me think that on here the whole story is not getting written or maybe the person did not see why the security guard had to be so rough.
I have always had a positive experience at this club and if you go to Opera thinking you are going to have a bad time you probably will. I will keep going to this club because it has great events, friendly and good looking staff, and good drinks!

I absolutely love Opera. I found out about the place because my friend who was getting married decided to have her bacholerette party there. As soon as we got escorted up to our table in the beautiful VIP I knew it was going to be a good night. The service was superior and even when my bacholerette got too drunk the staff was understanding and helped me escort her out the door when we were ready to leave. I have been to Opera several times since then and it has proven itself to be a great time.

I wanted to share this with yall because I know bada service is shared much more often than good service but this place is definitely worth a shot!!

Easy location, cool decor, fun performers.

VIP tabs are always MORE than what the promoters first quote you. If you go to the bar and start a tab there is like a $25 minimum.

Wait time outside is ridiculous. Girls working there are hideous and think they own the world because they work there in slutty outfits and get paid minimum wage.

Cover charge is too expensive.

I won't go back because they recently made "college night" on Wednesdays. Seriously, what college student doesn't have class on Thursdays?? I do, at 9AM. No thanks.

Bring College Night back on Thursdays and I'll come back. Until then, no thanks.

I frequent Opera quite often, usually for special events and DJ's that my girlfriend, my friends, and myself like. We usually buy a table unless we want to be on the floor for something like Armin. I see all these complaints on here, but to be honest there is a lot of drunk shenanigan's that go on all the time at this place. So I understand why the bouncers have a Zero tolerance policy. Ive smoked countless joints/bowls in this place and have never been harassed, the only time I see people get bounced is when people do dumb ass shit, so to everyone that is complaining you guys were probably tanked. Going VIP has its perks I never wait in line ever, and if you establish a relationship with a hostess you can get in whenever and no lines. I love watching people get stopped from entering to let my friend's and myself in that shit is funny it makes people rage. Also if you get a table if anyone slightly bothers you, you can have there ass bounced, cheers to gizeppo and his creepy cousin that tried to mack on my girl last friday I bet the bouncers treated you guys good.

Im just gonna make this brief. My brothers bestfriend was mistreated to where he was put in Grady Hospital for 12 hours. After that sent to jail for Disorderly Conduct which was wrong. If anyone has had bad experiences where you had been hurt or anything even if it was your friend please write what happened this needs to be put to a stop.

The club atmosphere is awesome but the people that work there make it so not worth going in. The bouncers need to seriously relax. They are ready to fight at any given moment. Not going to get into details, but fire the bouncers, and I'll return.

I have gone to this club once every time they change the name. I've seen it as a regular club, a drum n bass party and last night which was college night.

My roommate who took me there told me it was a great place. But the vibe was all messed up. First it was $20 to get in on a Wednesday. 18 and up...so I understand the price hike. But wednesday? come on.

But what I didn't like the most of was the aggressive manner in which the security handled people. First I couldn't tell security from a normal guy. Dressing in black in a suit jacket....what the heck is that!!! So when the security stopped people from doing things, the people were genuinely SURPRISED. They thought it was a normal dude.

Then they were aggressive in how they talked or acted. You could tell that the crowd was a bunch of college kids trying to have fun. But the security was cursing and being really hands on like angry cops. I saw one dude get ejected for dancing on the pole. They picked him up and rushed him out the door like he just punched someone.

THEN they brought out these rappers and started a concert like they were making a video. It was HORRIBLE. I won't be going back soon.

Every person there tells you different things about what you're paying for vs what your getting. Then they send you on a wild goose chase so you never get refunded for what they "assured" you you were getting. My group of friends got took for more than $200 and we weren't the only ones in the club complaining. If you want to sit down/lean ANYWHERE the actual cost in between $300-3000. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!!

I had a very unfortunate incident at Opera about two weeks ago. I came in here to post my experience and I read some of the older comments. The same exact thing happened to another customer in May. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I got a table at Opera with 3 friends. Promoter at the door promised me one price, but when I received the tab the price was 3 times higher. I asked to talk to the promoter, but they said that he had taken off one hour before. They said that they were going to call the cops, but we called the cops first. The 2 officers showed up and said that we had to pay to avoid going to jail for ??defrauding an innkeeper?. I couldn??t believe it! Thankfully we had the money to pay, and we are going to contest this charge. But what if they had come with a tab for $5,000???? We would??ve had to pay to avoid prison????? I wonder how many people have already been tricked like this?

Went on July 16th...place was packed but the DJ couldn't get the party jumping. They advertised free drinks until 11pm, stopped serving drinks a quarter to 11pm. No rum other than Captain Morgan, no Patron, no Midori...none of my friends got the other drinks they asked for. It was hot and muggy. Even Monica tried to liven things up, but the DJ was simply GARBAGE! Nice place, glad it was free, won't be going back though.

No rum other than Captain Morgan, no Patron, no Midori...none of my friends got the other drinks they asked for. It was hot and muggy. Even Monica tried to liven things up, but the DJ was simply GARBAGE! Nice place, glad it was free, won't be going back though.

Pros: spacious, elegant, short wait time

Cons: music, bar

.

Opera is the best nightclub i have ever been to! Great people, great staff, great music, and great drinks! There was a fight nearby when everyone was leaving and one of the security guards made sure that me and my friends were ok after we had been shoved down by the guys that were fighting. I thought that was a nice gesture.

Please read this because it happened just 1 week ago. This is an honest review coming from a person that used to be a fan of Opera.

Last weekend I went to Opera with a group of 11 people to celebrate a friend??s birthday. We were greeted at the door by one of Opera??s promoters. He said that he could offer us a great deal: a table for our group, 2 bottles of vodka, and 2 bottles of champagne for $450. The 11 members of the group listened to his offer and we were all very excited and accepted it. We got to the table and everything went well, but the 2 bottles of champagne were never served. At the end of the night, we all went to a room located downstairs to pay for the table. AND THIS IS WHEN THINGS BECAME RIDICULOUS. We were shocked when we were given a tab of $850. We informed the Opera employees that there was a problem with the tab, and that we had been told that the price would be $450. Two bouncers came to the scene and tried to intimidate us into paying. They said that the promoter that had offered us the deal had already left, so there was nothing we could do about it. The Opera employees were EXTREMELY rude, and kept on saying that we had 10 minutes to pay or else we would all be thrown in jail. We called 911. The police officers said that the only thing that we could do was pay the $850 tab and then contact the credit card company the following day to contest the payment. They said that the promoter who had offered us the deal was gone and that nothing could be done at that time. In the end, we had to pay $850 to avoid going to jail.

Needless to say how upset we all were by the incident. The credit card company has already been contacted and we have hired a lawyer to initiate action against Opera.

But the most upsetting thing was the way in which we were treated by the Opera employees. We were verbally humiliated, we were kept inside a room for over 1 hour and never did they even consider the possibility that we weren??t just trying to get away from paying the tab. BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU GO THERE. ME AND 10 OTHER PEOPLE LEARNED IT THE HARD WAY.

I really like Opera, it was my favorite club to go to until last Friday night.(5-1-09) When we were all leaving, a fight broke out. I understand that the bouncers and all of the security need to take care of the situation and get people downstairs, but when someone gets hurt in the fight like being pushed into the door. I think they should take the time to help that person. My friend could hardly walk and the bouncer told her to "Get the f*ck outside!" He didnt care, even after we explained to him that she could hardly walk he didnt care and kept telling us to get downstairs. We were all trying to tell him that we needed to stay with her because she was hurt and he told my friend that if she didnt get downstairs he was going to "kick her in her p*ssy." Which for such a "nice" and "sophisticated" club I thought was completley out of line to say and very disrespectful!(This bouncers name was John) Also, before all of this happened when we were at the bar, the bartenders were very rude and didnt know if they had the kind of vodka I wanted or not.(STOLI?) And to top it off, someguy on the dance floor stole my friends wallet. And in the end, we were all waiting out in the rain to get to talk to someone. Of course no one cared! My friend could barely walk down the stairs and no one bothered to help us. But when a drunk girl came out of VIP there were probably about 3 bouncers all around her trying to help her down the stairs. FUNNY how that works. I'm not saying dont go to Opera because it is a very fun club and I like it. I am just saying, that if you get hurt dont expect anyone to help you. And you will probably end up getting disrespected by a bouncer or a bartender.

Opera Nightclub, by far, is one of the best clubs I've ever been to in the Southeast, and definitely the nicest in Atlanta! I'm from San Francisco, but travel often, and I always make sure to drop by everytime I'm in town. Their staff is extremely friendly and accomodating, and I know my clients will always have an amazing time when I take them!

If your going out in Atlanta, Opera is definitely a must see. It is the premier night club in Atlanta. The best thing to do is get on Facebook and become a friend of the club, they offer guest lists to get you in free almost every weekend. The most beautiful girls are there, the best DJ's and you can get in free... what else could u ask for.

I'm always impressed with the talent that this place books. One night they will have "Cirque Du Soleil" style performance with dancers hanging from strings in mid-air, the next they have live bands and a world famous DJ.

I got to see Armin Van Buuren there a couple of weeks ago and it was crazy. I had never heard of him but one of my friends invited my so I went with her. It was on a Wednesday night and it looked like one of the clubs featured on "Wild on" (the show on E) that you would have to travel to Soutth America to get to. It was packed and the people were going nuts.

Bottom line, you would be crazy not to go check this place out.

My crew and I usually find ourselves at Opera 4-5 times a month. At least once a week for sure! From the moment we enter we feel as if we are VIP's! We like to hang out in the main room with our favorite bartender Chad. He makes a tasty drink and is very fast behind the bar.

So much for seeing the rest of the town... Find the best and stick with em!!!!

If you go to their web-site you would see pictures and statements which look and sound OK. But in this case the appearance is deceiving. This club is owned by a bunch of guys from India who try to squeeze every penny from the establishment without taking care of patrons. The management deludes itself and the public thinking that they are the best, which simply is not true. Self proclaimed world class DJs would be much better off if they locked themselves in sound proofed restroom.

I just hitt Opera for the first time since it was the former Club 1150 and thought it was real cool. Pretty looking...The set up reminds me of Mansion in Miami, just smaller. The music was okay - they played a little something for everyone. The crowd was hype and had good energy. No intention of becoming a regular, but would definitely visit again. You can club hop in this area so if one spot isn't working for you, there's always another you can pop into.

Every time I have gone to Opera I had an amazing time. The girls in the club look like the off the pages of maxim magazine and the bar staff always treats me right. No matter who you are or who you hang with you can fit in at Opera. I would definitely recommend paying the $10 extra bucks to get up in VIP.. its totally worth it.. Or make friends with the staff.

I have gone to Opera a few times now and every time I've experienced excellent service. From the line outside to the bathroom attendants, everyone offers up a great attitude and speedy service. I recommend paying a little extra for VIP wristbands. The VIP bar has private restrooms and even faster bartenders--well worth the additional $20. I also recommend champagne--you can buy it by the bottle!!

So i have been to Opera a few times and i have found myself wondering why there is a lack of respect to people who bring the club business...the security and door girl seem to hate their jobs?.once inside the club I find myself disgusted at the DJ?s spinning on the main floor, for the exception of DJ KLEVER who is on another level of excellence, of course. If you dont want to hear train wreck mixes and the same old top 40s without the twist mixes on your typical Friday and Saturday nights then I don?t suggest going here?but if you are into going to Opera solely for the Looks then it?s a great place?. As Far As Music, Service, and an overall lack of Managerial skills it is only a matter of time before this mega club meets its Match...what a waste!!

This place is great if you are VIP, I have been twice. If you are not, do NOT expect good service. I lost my keys and it took me 2 hours for someone to point me in the right direction towards a manager and they gave me the run- around. One of the security guards actually cussed me out and pushed me out the door when I asked for the manager's name. It was a horrible experience and I would never go again. Girls, be careful of the security guards on power trips. Too bad because it was a great place for dancing in Atlanta.

I have been here a few times, when they used to be Eleven50. Since they have opened the new club, its horrible! Their prices went up and their service went down. I have been double charged for drinks twice since they opened up and they were never nice about it - but did resolve it. They have a pretty place there, but the girls are mostly out for guys with money. If you are going there to meet girls, you better have deep pockets.
Also, if you look at the gallery on their website, the girls you see there are all staff and their stage dancers, not their patrons.
Usually this place is FULL of Guys b/c they are all out to meet the hot girls in Atlanta and its not here... If you go early on in the night, there are not alot of people there, but as it gets later, it gets PACKED!!! You will not be able to move very far without someone spilling a drink on you or vice versa. Don't wear your best to go here!
There are many rooms to this place, but really if you are going to go, you BETTER be VIP its the only people they cater to well here because they have the most money.
Honestly if you want a good night out and want to meet girls - you are better off at other places in town. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon until their management straightens out. Heck the first night I went was opening and they opened 3hrs late with about 750-1000 people crowded in the streets outside. AND THE PLACE WASN'T EVEN FINISHED!!! The paint was still wet in some places, and there was construction everywhere...
I went back a couple more times after that (I'm a glutton for punishment) and had more and more problems till I stopped going all together. Its a shame too, I really enjoyed Eleven50 before it became Opera...

My friends and I have attended Opera a few times and each time we get hassled at the door. Both times we have been on a management list and were still forced to pay at the door. Opera needs to organize their door employees and security to allow in people who've made resvervations or have gone out of their way to make sure that they're already on someones guest list.
