I would like to share my disappointment in the appointment I had with Dr. William Rivell.I won't go into great personal detail but would like to share that this doctor on initial introduction appears very unprofessional and arrogant. He wears his shirt unbuttoned very low with lots of chest being revealed. He speaks very quickly, not allowing much room for discussion of symptoms. He is quick to refer people to a psychiatrist, which his wife coincidently holds a title of.Once I told him that I was already seeing one,he told me that I was too complicated a case and should not ever need or take pain meds or sleep aids.I have very real and physical medical issues and have at times been prescribed such drugs.I had an immediate medical issue that I wanted his help with, not someone to analyze my past, unless that person would resume the role of MY primary care doctor. He didn't even want to run a simple lab test which would determine whether my thyroid was malfunctioning as it had twice in my past.He told me to "trust him on this" and that he could just tell that I was fine.Lump on the front of my neck and 20 extra pounds in a months time and I should trust someone I've only known for 5 minutes.I don't think so.This man belittled me and made me feel ashamed for the last two years of medical issues I've struggled through. He was so good at this that it only took him 10 minutes to do so. I was very angry and still am.I was told today of another who had a similar experience with this doctor. He had severe pain and physical symptoms.Dr.told him he didn't need anything for pain but should see a psychiatrist instead of needing drugs. He made him feel like he was just there for meds.He later saw a specialist who asked him why he hadn't seen a family doctor for the obvious pain this physical problem was causing. He prescribed him something to help until the problem was corrected.I personally would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He appears to want a quick buck for he and his wife.

Pros: Friendly, courteous office/nurse staff

Cons: No parking, pushing wife's profession on patients, unprofessional
