The finish on the rosewood hardwood floors installed was defective and the investment to install them now detracts from my home. I hired Alexander's Floors to install rosewood hardwood floors in my GA home and invested approximately $5K to make this life-of-home upgrade. I moved in May/2012 and when my area rugs, atop high grade expensive rug pads, were removed, the color beneath was completely different. Much lighter and very noticable. I contacted Alexander's Flooring, and their conclusion was the difference between UV exposure and no UV exposure and for $2400, they would fix. If UV exposure was the culprit, logically the same would be true under all the furniture which exhibited no color variation. Clearly, the topcoat product I saw them use on these pre-finished floors was somehow defective. I have neither children nor dogs in the home, and except for where rugs were placed, the floors are perfect. I found this vendor via Service Magic, and would have had a recourse through them. However, they have since dropped from Service Magic's stable of vendors. Safe yourself some grief. Pick another flooring company.
