Atlanta Human Society

We checked out the local animal control first, and then went to the humane society. It was clean, and dogs had raised beds. There were glass doors to see them through, rather than wire cages, and there was only one dog to a room. We got to run around a lot and all of the volunteers were knowledgeable. We were in and out with our wonderful dog within 1 1/2 hours.

We first visited the county animal shelter before coming here. The Humane Society had much cleaner facilities, and only had one dog to a space. There were nice outdoor dog runs. After looking around by ourselves we were helped by a volunteer, who took time out to show us three different dogs. We fell in love with one of them and got through the adoption process in no time. Our dog had some kennel cough but was otherwise healthy... They even put a microchip in him just in case he ever gets lost! The adoption was inexpensive and straightforward. I would totally recommend adopting a pet from here!
