I normally dont write reviews but if someone had warned me, I wouldnt have sent my child there. I pulled my oldest child out when she was three because the level of teaching wasnt up to par. Unfortunately I kept my youngest there because she was an infant, they daycare was in the same building I worked in and I wanted to keep her close. When she was in the Infant I room, my breast milk was given away to another child. The teacher responsible was either fired or quit. My resolution was to stop sending milk and nurse her since I was in the building. Thankfully my manager was very understanding. When she was in the Infant II room, she had transitioned to a sippy cup. I stopped by to check on her and the teachers couldnt tell me how much she had to drink if any for the 7 hours she was there. Her daily sheet hadnt been filled either. Did I mention I work in the same building as the daycare? A call could have been made if she wasnt receptive to the cup. Again, the teacher responsible was either fired or quit. When she was in the Toddler I room, she was given strawberries even though it was on her forms that she was allergic. Thank God she wasnt deadly allergic but she did breakout and had a rash on her face and body. Finally when she was in the Toddler II room, her thumb was broken. Another student closed her thumb in the bathroom door and the teacher put a Band-Aid on it. I wasnt informed until I picked her up. I received an incident report and was told she had a little boo boo. A little boo boo?! Her thumb was purple/blue and swollen. She complained that she couldnt move her thumb to eat her snack. Did I mention that I work in the same building?! After taking her to the emergency room, I was told her thumb was broken and that she would lose her thumbnail. Now that the cast if off and her nail is in the process of coming off. She doesnt understand and thinks she needs a band aid to make it feel better. The owners were willing to fill a claim against their insurance to cover my copays. My husband and I agreed to that the copays werent worth the trouble after our insurance agreed to cover the cost and not request reimbursement. In hindsight, I should have removed her after the milk incident but each time I feel into a false reassurance that they were going to do additional training and hire a better staff. However nice I think the owners are the incompetent staff is a direct reflection of them. Several co-workers have removed their children from the daycare for different reasons but nobody has ever spoken about it. It is extremely unfortunate that they are the only option available for government workers that would like to keep their kids close. Needless to say the day they broke her thumb was her last day. I am thankful that she only lost a thumbnail and not thumb.
