.

I have made two great academic mistakes in my life. The first was not finishing my degree when I went to college the first time. The second, and biggest was trying to get an education at Chattahoochee Tech.

The class prices are low, because just about everyone ther is on the Hope grant or scholarship. That's where the good ends.

Because everyone is on Hope, the administration at this college is all about grabbing as much cash as they can get, w/o providing any services to the students - at all. You pay a lot of fees out, and get nothing in return. A student activity fee, at a commuter college, that never has any student activities. Really? Or how about a tecnology fee charged every quarter, which doesn't add any new technology? And the computer systems are constantly crashing!

By the way, if you're not on financial aid, or paying cash UP FRONT, the Cashier's office won't even deal with you. There is no such thing as a payment plan at this school.

There is no reall focus on learning at this college. Every class is focused on you finishing the book, not actually learning what's in the book. In your upper level courses, you can go a whole quarter without understanding the material.

Professors don't have the time to review with you. And most just won't, because they are pressured to finish the book above all else. They have no control over their classrooms or the material covered. That's assuming that they are really qualified to teach the course in the first place!

And good freakin luck if you actually have a problem that need to be dealt with by the staff. Your advisor may not ever be on campus, and everyone on campus will keep pointing you to your adviosor. And if you happen to call during regular business hours, forget about getting someone to answer the phone. They love to play phone tag at this place.

These are all things I"ve never had to deal with at any other college or university. Chattahoochee Tech is just horrible, pitiful, and sorry. Don't wast your time or money going there.
