These have to be the smallest & most over-priced cupcakes that I've seen in my life! My girlfriend loves cupcakes so she wanted to stop in this place. We tried 3 cupcakes at $3 each. These are absolutely the smallest cupcakes I've seen that weren't considered mini cupcakes. They also weren't that good. We will not return.

I absolutely love cupcakes so I was excited when some girlfriends wanted to get together at Chocolate Pink. The decor & presentation was wonderful, but the cupcakes were mediocre, overpriced and very small. We tried nearly all of the cupcakes, the cheesecake and the german chocolate cake. The german chocolate cake was the best of what we ordered, but definitely not the best I've ever had. I probably will not go back. There are too many bakeries around that have better desserts that are larger and do not cost as much.

In Chocolate Pink's defense, I've only experienced their desserts through Zifty. The first time, I opted for a red velvet cupcake and it was terrible. The frosting was waxy and flavorless, and the cake itself was dry and crumbly. The second time, I tried the cheesecake with raspberry sauce. The sauce had a funky sour smell to it and the cheesecake was bland, while the crust had a definite lard/rancid oil flavor. Finally, the third and last time, I tried their brownies. Very odd texture, too sweet but not fudgy and not quite cakelike. I'm kind of grossed out by the brownies and I'm a chocoholic!

There's gotta be better places for dessert in Atlanta, and I imagine if you're headed to the actual cafe you're going for the overall experience. I'm sure the cafe has a great mix and a great atmosphere, but the food has been terrible. And if they're selling Zifty the old, stale, crusty garbage, then that's a great way to garner negative reviews.

I recently hosted a bridal shower event at Chocolate Pink. After reading the many reviews on how cute the place was for this type of event, I made an appointment to view and was sold on the spot. The space really sold itself...it is located on the second floor of the pastry shop which are both really cute, quaint and nicely decorated. At the initial meeting with the event coordinator and discussing the availability and fees, she said she'd be in touch within a week of my event. I reached out to her a few times before the event to square away the bill in advance and each time there was no prompt response. I left a message for her a week before the event as I was interested in placing an order for decorative sweet treats and heard nothing. Finally three days prior to the event, I receive a message that I met the deadline to order sweets from Chocolate Pink for my event. I returned the call within 10 minutes and left her a message... Never heard back from her. Our cupcakes came from another local sweet shop due to her unavailability. When I arrived on the day of, our event coordinator was eager to advise me of the outside catering fee due and of course, that she was there to help with any of my needs. My guests enjoyed the event and adored the location. I was a little disappointed with the role that the event coordinator played in my event. It seemed the only thing she coordinated was the payment for the space which again sold itself. The experience with Chocolate Pink was not very personalized. I would rent the space again because it serves the purpose and comfortably accomodates an intimate gathering and is in a central location...I would just do it with the expectation that space is all I'm paying for.

I can still taste that scrumptuous chocolate ginger cookie that melted away in my mouth... Decadent desserts, elegantly displayed, impressive flavors, a bit of France comes to Atlanta?Located in a sleek mixed-use condo development in the heart of Midtown. My sweet spot: Petunia cake, Brown Sugar Bananas, Nutella Ganache, Hazelnut Mousse, Chocolate Buttermilk Cake?this dessert is at least 4 inches wide, so I saved some of it for later. (well, a few hours later b/4 I devoured it) The caf also serves a variety of coffees, teas, pastries, the space is also available for birthday parties, book club meetings, art shows, etc. Another nice perk, the caf will validate your parking(8th Street parking ramp) or get some exercise take MARTA. Great Customer service!

I love, love, love this place. We used to live down the street and I would walk there when I was pregnant to get my chocolate fix. I've never been disappointed, but my favorite is their signature dessert, the Chocolate Pink. They also have great coffee and the atmosphere is wonderful. Parking in the adjacent garage can sometimes be a hassle, so we don't go as much anymore since we don't live down the street, but boy, do I miss it!

My husband and I stumbled onto this place by accident and we are so happy we did! The interior is gorgeous! Very chic and cute but not too over the top. The service has always been excellent. The staff is more than willing to answer any questions and offer a recommendation. They have many goodies to choose from. They also serve illy coffee drinks, which are my favorite! This is a great place to go after a dinner date or with your girlfriends. Oh and if you sign up on their website they will send you coupons periodically!

I think they selected a great location. The service was also very good and the servers were helpful in selecting a cake. Honestly, it was some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. Overall the experience was expensive ($20 for two pastries, a cup of tea, and a cup of coffee) but I will definitely go back. The atmosphere reminds me of a French Cafe...at least while I was sitting outside.

I love Chocolate Pink!!! It's an easy walk from many midtown restaurants so it's great place to go relax with girlfriends after lunch at F2O or dinner at Nikimotos. The cafe is cute and cozy with an overall international feel with everything from music to the desserts to the clientele. The decor is retro and modern all at once and the chocolate and pink colors are even mirrored in the cute coffee cups. During the day it's a peaceful midtown oasis that's great for reading or studying and at night it's the opposite with a good crowd after dinner making it nice that they have Open Table to reserve your seat. Oh and did I mention the desserts? Sign up for the email list for a free dessert on your birthday and announcements of new desserts each month. I especially love the caramel apple cupcake and the brand new strawberry rhubarb tart, but go and try anything, I've never been disappointed!

My recent visit to Chocolate Pink was like entering a chocolate paradise on the french riviera. The decorations are tasteful and chic. I was impressed by the customer service as well as the cleanliness and attention that I received. The employee gave me a step by step of each desert that I asked about and was very patient and friendly considering the fact that I took 5 years to decide what I wanted. In the end, chocolate pink is a great spot to get away and enjoy a few calories at a very reasonable price. Great atmosphere and oh yeah, great coffee too!!!

I didn't know a cupcake could taste so bad. They are so tiny (not cute, just tiny), and I had a taste for both coconut and red velvet, so I ordered one of each. Now, let me tell you that I will eat just about any kind of food with frosting on it. That said, I could not even finish the 2nd bite of the red velvet cupcake. It was that bad! The cake, the frosting, the whole thing. Whoever said they tasted frozen and thawed was correct. The worst part? I paid $7! ( Whoever designed the logo and decor did a great job, though. )

I love this place! I live right down the street and can't help stopping in almost daily for delicious illy coffee and the fabulous array of desserts. My favorite? The caramel apple cupcake, it's perfect for a quick bite, the cake is so moist, and that caramel icing is to die for...The service is great too, very friendly, eager to help with recommendations, and they always remember me! I wouldn't go anywhere else in Atlanta for my pastries and coffee :)

Hi everyone...chocolate madness here and I just wanted to say that chocolate pink is a dream come true for chocoholics in atlanta! The pastries are to die for and their little event room is so darling!! I really enjoyed my friends shower the other weekend, it was just perfect for our group of 20 and of course the chocolate is simply awesome! The service was impeccable from Sharon, who was there to help every step of the way...she even helped clean up our mess. The rates were very reasonable and everything was explained to us up front, no hidden charges or fees...it just depends on what you want to do with your party. Ours was a blast and the mother-to-be couldn't have been happier! I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!

I am an event coordinator and I also run a 1,300+ member Social group in Atlanta. I recently called to make reservations and they told me that I would have to just try my luck getting tables for my group since they didn't want to reserve their tables with a group of 15. They did tell me I could reserve their Events Facility for $150. Since we just wanted to do dessert and coffee after having a wonderful meal at Ecco in Midtown I decided to not rent their event facility, call ahead and see if they were busy. When I called I was told that they had tables open. We went over there we waited about 10 minutes and there were enough tables open for us all to sit down. All 15 of us ordered coffee and dessert, all the coffee and dessert came out about 15 minutes after we placed out order. After we got our dessert we were finishing up our dessert and coffee and sitting for about 15 minutes after it came out before the manager came over and told us we needed to consolidate our tables as we were taking up to much room. 11 of us got up and left as we were getting ready to leave anyway. The other 4 were told they were turning away business because of us... which the actual time we were sitting in their tables was about 30 minutes 15 waiting for coffee and desserts and 15 drinking it before we were told we needed to leave. In this time I did not see one person turned away and I was facing the doors. One of our members said to the manager it was too bad they were treating us in this fashion as we have 1,300 members in our group and we would have recommended them as well as leave a nice tip. We were then told by the waitress and manager that they did not need our business anyway. The dessert was good, a bit expensive but not too unreasonable. The service was AWFUL! We will not return and we will be posting on our members site as well as anywhere else how we were treated. Also I will not be recommending this facility to any of my clients. Save your money and go to Cafe Intermezzo!

We went with a group for our dessert to Chocolate Pink, we had a reservation.
We barely finished our dessert (which was excellent) and coffee (service was kinda slow, as we were a fairly big group), we were asked to 'consolidate' or lets face it to leave... within seconds they had turned our warm chocolaty feelings about the place stone cold, I felt extremely unwelcome and we made sure to leave quick, even didn't wait for a coffee refill... They didn't really care much about our business, even stated that they were busy without us there... well, I am sure I won't go there ever again.

Chocolate Pink is a very cool concept as well as trendy venue. Very hip. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was marred by my recent experience with the Events Coordinator, Sharon. During the Bridal Shower I helped coordinate back in October, I observed Sharon walking about; I assumed to make sure that we had everything needed for our guests. What I found out later was she was counting the number of chairs being used in the room. Okay, the entire bottom half of the venue was EMPTY! Coudn't grasp what that was about. Additionally, she did not wait until the end of the event to present one of the other coordinators with a bill for the use of additional chairs, a cake cutter and wine glasses. What she failed to "observe" was that the cake cutter did not belong to Chocolate Pink. I thought the entire approach was "Tre Tacky". The owners may want to solicit a more savvy events person before more business is lost. I was actually planning on booking Chocolate Pink for a Baby Shower in January...not anymore.

Didn't taste any of the desserts, but I DID NOT hear good things about them.....

Once again, we enjoyed a great time at Chocolate Pink! The desserts are awesome and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. I might have been concerned about the recent reviews from the disgruntled planners who think they can do whatever they like and take over the joint. I wonder if they really thought Chocolate Pink was so bad, why did several of them book their parties in the event room and commondeer the cafe for their gatherings? I asked the staff of CP about it and they said some people just want something for nothing. Every business has guidelines that help it run efficiently and you might think that planners in the event business would understand that and wouldn't try to bully their way to a better price. Oh well, my friends and I had a wonderfuld experience and we're happy to spread the sweet news!

I visited CP based on the reviews I read. First impression when walking into cafe was how chic and modern the cafe was. The presentation of the pastries was astounding, but one taste and I felt that I'd just thrown $20 out the window.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Trust me, my husband and I both are dessert connoisseurs. The first sign should have been walking into an empty cafe on a beautiful Saturday! Despite tasteless desserts, my bridal shower was held here because I really loved the event room and outside catering could be used. The event planner Sharon Smith is going to run CP out of business. There were 35 participants at the shower who could have generated addt?l business. She was extremely difficult to do business with and customer service is not her strong area. Her focus was sales and she exhibited no flexibility. The event room is booked for a 4 hr window. If we came 1 minute earlier or stayed 1 min later, she made it very clear that we would be charged. The room comes with 32 chairs, but we had 35 participants so we asked for 3 addtl chairs which she brought. At the end of the event, we received a bill for $3 per chair which is a fee that was never disclosed to us. Also, the fee was not stated anywhere in the contract. We paid despite the lack of communication from her. She interrupted our event several times counting the number of people attending the shower. We're still not sure why this took place since there is not a limit on the number of people who could attend. It is truly an unfortunate experience. When I initially visited the venue as a potential place to hold my bridal shower, I met the owner who very accommodating. He's since hired an event planner as I mentioned is a detriment to his business. Also, we were willing to purchase our cake from CP, but the Pastry Chef does not do tasting for special occasion cakes. After tasting in house pastries, I couldn't chance. Please do business with someone else.

ChocolatePink. My favorite color with my favorite dessert. Nothing wrong here.
I fell in love with ChocolatePink the moment I walked in. The quiet, easygoing atmosphere of the store had a calming effect of me. I was greeted by very friendly servers and felt free to take my time in perusing the desserts. I was amazed at the intricacy of the detail on each dessert. I chose their signiture dessert, The ChocolatePink, which I would recommend to anyone!
I've been back several times since then and I have noticed that it is not only a romantic place for a date but somewhere the whole family can come to enjoy delicious desserts.
Though the location is not the most prominent, ChocolatePink validates for parking and makes it worthwhile to come to again and again.

ChocolatePink. My favorite color with my favorite dessert. Nothing wrong here.
I fell in love with ChocolatePink the moment I walked in. The quiet, easygoing atmosphere of the store had a calming effect of me. Pros: The atmosphere and the amazing desserts

I loved my experience at Chocolate Pink. From being greeted by the friendly staff, through wandering around the exquisite event space upstairs, through enjoying Midtown's best cappaccino, through inhaling my dessert (chocolate toffee is the best!), through enjoying the scene and chill music. They even validated my parking. Perfect for a date, for casual stop-through, or for long-term chill sessions.

I will definitely be going back, especially since the chef is constantly introducing new desserts.

Loved it. I've found a winner!

This place looks nice when you first walk in, but thats just about all its worth. The desserts are over priced and taste like they have been frozen and thawed out. The signiture dessert the "chocolate" pink was grainy on the inside and the cake was very dry (even with the sauce). After spending 20 dollars on two desserts that were both far below average I wish I would have gone elsewhere. I am not sure if this place even makes the desserts because the garnish is clearly store bought.

Looking for a great dessert in Midtown? Look no further than Chocolate Pink Cafe! I love the decadent dessert options ranging from exceptional classics (key lime pie with blackberry sauce, chocolate chunk brownies, and carrot cake petit fours to name a few) to creative new favorites (petunia -chocolate cake with nutella, caramelized bananas, and hazelnut mousse, dark chocolate ginger ginseng petit fours)! I went in yesterday to pick up a Valentine's treat, and was thrilled to see that they had three new desserts (a chocolate and raspberry mousse cake with adorable heart decorations, mascarpone brandied cherry petit fours - delicious and creative, and a fudgy chocolate cupcake with strawberry chocolate on top!) The Illy coffee is excellent and hard to find elsewhere in Atlanta and the quality and selection of desserts make it well worth the trip. The staff are friendly and helpful in describing desserts and giving recommendations, and the individual desserts which are rich and big enough to share are a bargain at $7. Park in the deck on 8th street and they'll give you a token to get out. Midtown has never been sweeter!

I took my partner there for dessert after Valentine's dinner and was disappointed. The pastries were almost nonexistent, maybe 10-12 items to choose from. After paying $20.00 for two desserts (no coffee!) we left disappointed overall, which is very unfortunate because I had talked all week about how excited I was to take him to this new place for dessert! I would try it again but would be hopeful the owners would consider stocking fully the display cases.

Enjoy an espresso and a pastry at Chocolate Pink, and you'll think you've been away to Paris! The decadent desserts are rich, light, and utterly palate-pleasing. The combinations range from classic (Key Lime, Cheesecake) to the exotic (Almond Passion Fruit) to the adventurous (Dark Chocolate Ginger Ginseng, Milk Chocolate Coconut Curry). The desserts are larger than average (4-in. rather than the standard 3-in.) and the larger cakes and tarts are perfect for parties and special events. The service is especially helpful. The staff is eager to describe the pastries and their recommendations are quite helpful. Also, the co-owner and pastry chef are gracious and helpful in discussing larger orders.

The ambience meshes perfectly with the desserts, and creates a classy, pleasing outing. There's nothing like relaxing with a cup of coffee and good company on a weekend afternoon and browsing through the fabulous retail items that the cafe offers (fondue sets, lotions, candles). The good new is that the cafe is now open late on Fridays and Saturdays (until 11pm)! Chocolate Pink works as a perfect after dinner spot either for couples or for large groups. I also enjoy stopping in for a coffee or tea on weekday mornings (although I usually can't leave without grabbing a quick dessert).

(well, a few hours later b/4 I devoured it) The cafe also serves a variety of coffees, teas, pastries, the space is also available for birthday parties, book club meetings, art shows, etc.

Another nice perk, the cafe will validate your parking(8th Street parking ramp) or get some exercise take MARTA. Superb Customer service!

After dining this past weekend on a great meal at Mitra, we dedicded to go this heavenly place on Juniper St. for desert and coffee. Walking in, I knew I was in chocoholic heaven. The very personable Pastry Chef, Christian Balbierrer, made several suggestions. And I fell for the Cherry Mousse, Chocolate Cake. Great coffee selections, wonderful relaxing interior, and just a very nice addition to the Juniper St./Midtown scene. We will be back soon. My holiday weight gain, has begun.

Yummy! If you haven't been here yet and you are a chocolate lover, don't miss this place. I had been anticipating the opening of this much needed new cafe in midtown for months and it totally met all my expectations. The space is beautiful and the owners have paid attention to all the details. The pastry chef is talented and creative with his desserts. His resumé is extensive. The co-owner, Michael, explained all the desserts to me and helped me choose something delicious for my dinner party. They also have a space upstairs where they have pastry demonstrations!
