.

I was in the market for a new Honda. I send emails to almost all Honda dealers in the Atlanta metro area. Several of them responded quickly and provided an out to door price for the car. Mohamed Kande provided one quote and kept calling several times during the day and kept telling me that he will beat any price. Whenever I asked him to provide a written quote via email, he created a new excuse. He even quoted numbers several hundred below the best one. So we said what the heck let's give them a chance. What a big mistake!!! The minute we went in, he forced me to sign a paper that served to no purpose. He took the paper and disappeared for 30 minutes. Then he wanted to see the quote from another dealer. I didn't have the email with me, but I called the other dealer and ask them to resend the email. I opened the email in their computer and printed a copy for them. After I printed the email, he disappeared for another 30 minutes. And when he came back, he told me that I am faking another dealers email. Then he said anybody can fake an email and do this. I knew this was a sales gimmick at that moment. People in this dealer are rude and disrespectful. Do not go to this deal even if you have a written offer. See other reviews here. I hope this dealer runs out of business.

After this bad experience, I called Nalley Honda and purchased the car at the price that we per-negotiated. We went there to sign papers, took our car and left the dealer. What a bless.

Long story in short: Always ask for an out to door price for a specific vehicle in dealers inventory. Do not go to dealer until you have a solid number in your hand. And make sure you have details of the out to door price. Search Edmunds and Google for the dealer ratings. Not the dealerraterBS.com. If they start BSing at the dealer, run don't just walk away.

Service Department is horrible. Took my car in for routine oil change. Was told it would take 30 mins. tops, 3 hours later my car is not finished. No one came by to say it might be a little longer or anything when I finally inquired why such a long delay she became irritated and said that they had gotten busy in the back and it would take another 30 minutes. This is totally unacceptable. Will not be going back to sons. To top it off they tried to sell me more repairs that I had them do on my last service. Total rip off. Stay away from these shadetree mechanics.

Never take your car here to be serviced. They will misdiagnose the problem and make you pay for it. After spending over $800, I still have the same problem that I initially walked in with.

Excellent Service before and after the Sale!
I first contacted Latanya via email about a Used Civic they had on the web. I had all the information that I needed and we even agreed on a price before I left my house ( 45 minute drive from North of Atlanta in Duluth ). Sons Honda had the car sitting out front, all cleaned up and ready when we arrived. I got to meet the Sales Manager, Jason, and he quickly agreed to fix a minor issue with the mirrors that we noticed when we drove the Civic. Andre answered all of our questions. Kim, the Finance Manager, got us a great car loan with Honda that was even better than our Credit Union...all in all it was a quick easy 3 day process from when I started looking for a car for my daughter until we had it home...she loves the car and will be taking it away to school next year.

Run the other way! I recently purchased a car from Sons Honda after speaking with several people at the dealership. This was the worst decision I could have made! Sons does NOT care about their customers and sells questionable cars. If you are looking for a Honda, do NOT go to Sons.

We had the unfortunate experience of receiving a price quote from Sons Honda (105 Sons Dr, McDonough, GA) via email on Wednesday, August 18th which was then not honored when we were ready to purchase the vehicle (2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L) on Saturday, August 21st. We received the price quote of $29,600 ??out the door? by Erma Patterson; when we called Saturday morning to coordinate with Erma, we were informed she was on vacation and were connected with Andre Smith. I informed Andre that Erma had quoted us a price of $29,600 out the door on this vehicle, which was the only remaining 2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L in stock so there was no confusion about which vehicle we were referencing. Andre specifically said ??if you received the quote via email from Erma, I can pull it up on her sent emails and we will honor that price?. This prompted my wife, 2 year old son, and myself to drive 25 miles south from Atlanta to Sons Honda to purchase the vehicle.

After agreeing to purchase the vehicle, Andre came back with a price not equal to Erma??s email quote of $29,600. Andre was able to finally find the email I was referencing and printed it out, validating that the price quote was originally sent from Sons Honda. Andre then left for approximately 20 minutes, eventually returning with Melvin Dott. Melvin then proceeded to inform me that they would not honor this price quote and said ??people lose their jobs? over situations like this. Melvin also kept asking me what was the lowest price quote I received from other dealers and kept inferring that I should have know this quote was too low.

Melvin positioned the situation as our fault (the customer) for not realizing the price quote was too low and that because of the situation, Erma or Andre could potentially be fired. What Melvin failed to recognize was the ultimate decision to not honor the documented price quote was solely his decision and that he, not Erma or Andre, was accountable for this decision. The impact of Sons Honda losing business by this story being posted online and with the Better Business Bureau is directly associated to Melvin ?? if the dealership doesn??t sell 2-3 cars now because of this story, that monetary lose is Melvin??s fault.

Erma potentially made a mistake by giving us a wrong price quote. Andre made a mistake by saying Sons Honda would honor any price quote emailed from their system and not verifying the quote when we called and spoke to him. But Melvin made the conscious decision to not honor the quote, blame the customer for the situation, therefore jeopardizing the integrity of the dealership. This was an extremely disappointing situation and our objective is to communicate our side of the story, so Erma isn??t fired for a decision made by Melvin to not honor a documented price quote.

My husband and I recently bought a vehicle from Sons and our sales man was great. However, the manager is shady. We came to look at the Tacoma, but noticed a 2007 Honda Risgeline that we decided to test drive. As soon as we started it i[ their were two lights (a malfunction and check engine light) that got our attention on the dashboard. It drove great though so we took it directly to their service dep't only to find it was a serious issue with the catalytic converter and would cost $1500 plus to repair. So of course we did not want it. They reset the lights and had the car back on the display for sale by the time we got back from having the Tacoma looked at by our mechanic. Very shady and exactly why used car lots get bad reputations. Shame on them!
