I have worked with TUF for a number of yrs now. My son has been working out with them since inception and prior. Recently I have begun to participate in the classes myself and love them! I do have back/hip problems yet I still do the jiujitsu program and recently the Muay Thai program. If I can't handle a particular activity, I simply decline and wait for further instruction. If you have concerns about getting hurt, you need to mention your concerns up front. Clearly Martial Arts is a very physical activity. If you have a history of prior injuries perhaps Martial Arts is not the sport for you. Let me add too that this gym is not for those interested solely in your sterotypical kickboxing classes such as Tai Bio with Billy Blanks. We train for self defense utilizing MMA and have some competitive fighters who are about to go pro. Our trainers are top notch as well. I love the atmosphere there also. We are like a big family and welcome new members to the fold. We are constantly growing and are looking to expand in the next year. I am sorry if the other reviewer was injured but they share in the responsiblity in disclosing their injury history. In closing, if they were indeed working with someone who was "very experienced" they would not have been paired up with them. The trainers do indeed pair up partners based on skill levels. If they indicated they had prior experience in kickboxing, it may have been misinterpreted as the same type of workout. Best of luck to them in finding the workout they are looking for. In the meantime, I have zero interest in leaving TUF now nor in the future.

Let me first start off by saying that I am very athletic and have worked out for most of my life.

I took one cardio kickboxing class here. They did not find out if I had any prior injuries before class. So when they started having my partner slam me to the ground, I knew this wasn't going to be good for me. My partner was very experienced, so they didn't match us up well. I've had neck injuries in the past, and after this class, I couldn't move my neck and head for a full week. No more classes for me here, thank you.
