This place must have got some remodelling done to it on the inside and you have to get inside to see how beautiful it looks now! The ambiance is very relaxing; I haven't been here in the evenings but I met a friend here for lunch after a stressful morning at work and the mood of the place just made me relax... :)

NICE "SPOT"
by mzlove
ON ONE SIDE THERE IS THE TAPAS LOUNGE WITH GOOD EATS AND VERY GOOD DRINKS. THE OTHER SIDE HAS A WONDERFUL CLUB CALLED ICE THAT IS FUN ON SATURDAY NIGHTS! THE SERVICE IS GOOD PENDING THE CROWD SIZES MOST NIGHTS, BUT I WOULD LOVE IT IF THEY BROUGHT THE SCALLOPS AND GRITS BACK! AWESOME! NICE FOR AFTER WORK OR NIGHT OUT WITH FRIENDS. THE PRIVATE BOOTHS OFFER PRIVACY FOR ROMANTIC DATES.
Pros: LOCATION, ENTERTAINMENT, PROXIMITY TO CLUB ICE

SERVICE PLEASE?
by artistic4
My friends and I visited Utopia only to find that it is overcrowded and the staff doesnt seem to know what they are doing! The hostess was very confused and our server was horrible. The food was average but the decor is pretty cool. I suggest they sit down with someone who knows how to run a restaurant and maybe they can improve before they fold

GREAT FOOD,CROWD AND EVENT
by JessicaOre59
I Had such a great time with my friends and co-workers for my birthday party booked with the promoters! The event on friday is soo much fun. The Kitchen stays opens late. (try the sushi and try the chicken and mushroom on a bed of rice- yummy). there are 3 different areas to party and different djs!
The crowd is very upscale....the guys dress nice!!
I do agree only with the comment below about the bartenders /waitress at utopia! They are pretty mean!.. maybe they need a vacation!
Either way i will go back again!!! =)
I
Pros: Food, Party, crowd , DJs in different rooms, Everyone has fun!
Cons: bartenders- waitress

Good sushi... OK service...
by Charles55
The place is absolutely gourgeous on the inside... the decor is very modern and has a utopian feel....lol... but i can say that the line was long and there wasnt a soul on the inside of the club... they purposely held the door to make it look as if it was crowded.... we finally made it inside...me and my lady decided to grab a bite since the club was empty.... the food was actually pretty good... the sushi is very fresh!!! i recommend it to anyone.... the sitting areas are very nice and intimate with suddle candlelight.... really nice place to take your lady.... but the service isnt where it should be...
Pros: good sushi
Cons: service...wait time outside

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
by scl81
I will never return to utopia again. They advertise a free birthday party on friday nights...essentially this gets you an unlimited guest list, however the guests have to be in before 12, and even if you get there at 11, they hold the line so that everyone will have to pay when it hits midnight, and in addition held the line at other points throughout the night while they increased the price...despite the fact that it was virtually empty inside. They are very skimpy with their expenses as there is no air inside (It was hotter inside than out and there were max 70 ppl inside). The staff is rude and unaccomodating and this place is definitely not worth your time or money!
Pros: nice decor
Cons: Expensive, rude, empty, pretentious

3 different vibes, and love all of them!
by missvegas08
I was skeptical about coming here for a friends birthday, but once inside I was baffled. Beautiful and friendly people. Everybody was dancing. The decor was original and colorful. The food was scrumptious, and the service was prompt. I know where I'm celebrating my next bash! Good job Utopia!
Pros: Dress code is to impress, which attracts a beautiful crowd.
Cons: One of the waitresses was a little snooty.

Terrible experience!!
by rdsmith0812
I went to Utopia to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends -a ten people reservation. We all ordered at the same time and they just brought the food out wheneever they felt like it, it took THREE HOURS for everyone to get served. The waitress was very rude and the manager had to be called over several times then she triend to charge us an 18% gratutity on our check -which had to be removed. The food was bland and taseless but the drinks were good.
Pros: good atmosphere/drinks
Cons: everything else

Great Tapas, a new taste and great style
by handsonworks
Had a great Experiance, food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic... I hate chain resturants, and dont thike the bland same old thing...was good to see something fresh.. Im a sushi fan, loved the spider roll... the best i had in town..was extremely good, also had the chicken quessadilla, loved it, also my fav was the chiken chillii relleno.. very falvorful to the pallet. I did have the "golddust" drink... great martini, maybe a lil price but had a great flavor, not to sweet witha bit of tart.
will definalty be a reoccuring customer!
Pros: Food was obviousely fresh
Cons: Its tapas...dont expect a huge platter..but also a pro you can sample more!!

Decor is cool - that's the high point! Lunch buffet is lackluster and overpriced - even at only $9, Martinis not tasty!
by hazybuck
My girlfriend and I went by for lunch and martinis Friday . . .and we were sorely disappointed.
The 'sushi and fajita buffet' consisted of ngiri and California rolls that were made several days prior - lackluster in taste to say the very least. The remainder of the buffet consisted of a hodge podge of food that was bland at best. The high point were the fried catfish and the fried veggies. Even at $9, it's not worth the price.
To salvage our lunch, we decided to sample a couple of the colorfully named martinis - their 'specialties.' They were about as wonderful as the food.
When I don't finish an alcoholic beverage, something is terribly wrong!
Then there was the music. The music made us feel that we were stuck in a Saturday Night Live skit of 'Two Wild and Crazy Guys." I actually caught myself spastically bobbing my head during our conversation -- this is NOT a good thing!
While I will say that the decor was rather cool, I can't see returning to this establishment for lunch, for cocktails, or even for convenience. I'd rather eat from the vending machine at the office.
Needless to say, we will not be returning.
Pros: Decor
Cons: Sushi was old, rest of buffet was hodge podge and lackluster; music was too 'canned'

Sushi has been discontinued
by kloving
FYI-Just wanted to let all know that the sushi is no longer part of the Utopia concept. I am so sad because they had GOOD sushi. The drinks are still great. Will try the new menu this Friday and let you know what I think.
Pros: Staff, food, decor, hours, prices, DRINKS
Cons: Exterior

Great variety & Great late night dining
by francesfr
Utopia is the offspring of one of Atlanta's behind the scene restaurateurs. I say behind the scenes because the owner's restaurants are dotted around Atlanta and known as casual-dressy neighborhood establishments as opposed to dining destinations. However, Utopia is a dining destination, especially if you're looking for exceptional food after hours. Open till 3 AM on the weekends and serving quality food and experimental martinis this venue is ideal for night owls. Note: The exterior should be disregarded. The white building with huge cheesy "seductive" eyes painted on the side should be ignored along with the odd pink & black logo. For once inside, the decor (some handmade by the owners) is fun and retro.....Jetson-like. There's a lounge area up front behind sheer curtains along the windows for people watching. A long bar spans the length of the room while semi-private booths flank the opposite side and tables and chairs fill the center. Downstairs is another room w/ a private club vibe and DJ. Music styles are pending as the place is new and the regular crowd has yet to be determined. Food wise I love Utopia. Small plates and sushi rolls are abundant. The variety is amazing, something for everyone. Try the volcano, grilled calamari, sauteed garlic shrimp over pasta, blackened chicken, & blackened snapper. Ask for garlic when ordering the fresh guacamole made tableside. Prices avg $8/plate. Service aims to please. This is definitely high on my list of favorite spots.
Pros: Food- variety & quality, value, late night hours, friendly service
Cons: exterior of building (exterior decor)
