I visited Ola Academy in search of daycare for my newborn. I've read previous reviews however it seems to me as if we are speaking of two toatly different locations. The staff was very receptive upon my entering the location and the infant room teacher really put my mind at ease and I have no qualms with leaving my newborn in their care 40+ hours a week.

A little over a year ago, I was checking into day care centers for my then newborn. I made an appointment to stop in and see the place. I got there just before my appt. time and stood in the lobby for a good 2-3 minutes before anyone noticed I was there. The asst. director came out and I introduced myself and she took me to the infant room, where there was 5 babies there on that day and 1 caregiver. The caregiver was feeding one of the children a bottle and the remaining children were in cribs with bottles themselves - laying down. The most disturbing thing I noticed was the youngest child had a blanket rolled up besides its head and a bottle propped in its mouth. I asked the asst. director if this was normal practice and she stated - "if it is feeding time and we only have one person on staff for that room." I stated I was very distrubed by this fact and she totally dismissed me and handed my a pamphlet and said give us a call when you are ready to bring in your child. Needless to say, I found another option.
