This place is swarming. Saturday becomes an all day hangout, fair warning. You will end up staying until two in the morning so be prepared. Why go to a cheesy club when their are ladies here who love sports and are down to earth. Wings use real Anchor Bar sauce, for those in the know this is official. If you haven't had anchor bar sauce, you haven't had the best wings you'll ever have yet.
50+ beers on tap and some crazy guinness combos!

Pros: Attractive Ladies

Cons: did you read the pros?

I used to be a regular at the Hudson Grille. Watching the Dawgs play every Saturday and the Steelers every Sunday. My boyfriend competed in the Wing Bowl two years in a row. We came in the Saturday before the Super Bowl and my boyfriend was looking to enter and beat the competition and sure enough, they weren't even having a wing bowl. Nobody even knew what it was. I was looking for some of my favorite people and found out that they had moved on. And the management staff doesn't seem to care now. Thinking maybe they were just in a rut, we came in to check the place out last night for the Carolina/Duke game. Sat a hightop in the bar and the game sound wasn't even on. Nobody was talking about basketball and my server didn't even know anything about it. This used to be the best sports bar in Atlanta. Now it seems like it's somehow transformed back into Jocks and Jills. But at least now we know where we'll be for the NCAA Tournament. Somewhere other than Hudson Grille.

My girlfriends and I have a girls nite every week and we had put it off for awhile, but being as close as it was to home, we finally caved in and went to the Hudson Grille. Knowing that the company that owned them ran the same dreary boring restaurants, I was expecting the worst. But we had a great time. The atmosphere was electric. Unlike some of the other concepts, there was actually exciting music instead of the same Frank Sinatra garbage that puts me to sleep. We had martinis and they were fabulous. And the bar was full of people our age, not like some of the other bars in the area that are full of dirty old men. Our server was engaging and cute. We even wound up running into him later that night at another nightspot and he was even more delightful. It was so much more fun and female-friendly than their other concepts. It wasn't flamboyant or full of people that were flaunting what they are. We didn't have a server with a lisp or an attitude. The salads we had were great. The ahi tuna salad was flavorful, the lettuce was crisp, and the entire dish was aesthetically pleasing. The only downside we could see was that this restaurant was so far above and beyond the other Metrotainment restaurants. And going into the location at Perimeter mall, you could see the difference. It is abundantly clear that Perimeter is a Metrotainment restaurant. The food, which happens to be the same menu as Brookhaven, wasn't close to the same in taste or presentation. The kinda place where you can hear a pin drop because nobody would ever go there for a good time. The one in Brookhaven is a different more inviting place. We didn't have to worry about being loud or having fun. And from the management team down, there was a feeling that this place was fun no matter which side of table you were on. I don't know how this company can own two of the worst sports bars in Atlanta (Perimeter, Cheyenne Grille) and the one of the best in the south (Brookhaven).

Pros: An exciting place every time you go in

Cons: The other Hudson Grilles are not the same experience

.

I've been goin to the Hudson Grille pretty much since they opened in Brookhaven. We head up for trivia on Tuesdays. Meet up with some of our Club Sports Teams on Wednesdays. Pregame before hitting the clubs on Fridays. Watch Georgia on the patio on Saturdays. And the Steelers on the patio on Sundays. The menu has an all-american flavor to it, basically using ingredients from every part of the country. Anchor Bar wing sauce from the original Anchor Bar in New York. Barbecue Sauce from St. Louis. And the food specials are always appealing. Just recently I had a Blackened Prime Rib Sandwich that was amazing. My girlfriend and I came in last night to watch the election results because everything around us was dead and we were looking for some social stimulation. Sure enough, we walk in the doors and the place is packed. People having a great time, talking politics, and drinking Yuengling. It felt like being up north again. The place is approachable, exciting, and even busy when you think nobody would be out. I can't help but think that Jocks and Jills should have bit the dust earlier so that this giant of a restaurant and sports bar could take over. Simply put, I love this place.

Pros: Everything you need to be an upscale sports restaurant and still serve as a great sports bar

Cons: Why aren't there more Hudson Grilles?

It's all about the Saturdays. As soon as we walked in, we were inundated with the sounds of crowds of sports fans cheering at the televisions. All of these televisions labeled as to what game would be on and when, allowing you to request a section that would literally surround you with all the games you want to see. The staff is abundant and friendly, not to mention fairly attractive. The beers are cold, inexpensive, and esoteric (Rogue Dead Guy Ale). After two football games, and quite a few beers, the ambience begins to change and the DJ starts playing songs from my youth. Bon Jovi, Beastie Boys, and Tom Petty all echo off the patio where the socializing begin to dance. I can't say that a Saturday afternoon anywhere else in Atlanta can come as close to a tailgating experience. Not to mention, even the management is in the spirit. I watched two of the managers engaged with the tables, high fiving and chest bumping. The vibe reminded me of a tailgate experience, except catered and quick. The food showed up seconds after our drinks and we were never left needing anything. I guess every place has its faults, but it seemed to me like everyone was having a good time. I can't think of anywhere else I wanna spend my Saturday afternoons than at Hudson Grille watching football with my friends.

Pros: Its basically just a great time

Cons: Not enough seats

.

This is the worst restaurant we have ever been too. My husband and I were excited to have a new place to go in the neighborhood but were quickly disappointed. The lack of service was somewhat understandable when they first opened so we decided to give it another try and it was even worse. The food must be reheated in the microwave and even then they can not bring it to the table warm and the cheese dip taste like rubber. The staff could care less, including the manager when we called him over; which we have never done at any restaurant. Please don?t waste your time on this place.

How is this place still open? I've given this place several tries, and most often I leave not intending on returning for a long time. The wait staff is generally terrible. I'll describe my most recent visit, which is pretty typical of all of my experiences at this establishment. We arrived later in the evening last Saturday night to Hudson Grille, which had customers but was by no means crowded. We were promptly seated. Then we waited for about 10-15 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order. The water came about 5 minutes later. The drinks came about 5-10 minutes after that. So, we were seated nearly a half an hour before any drinks came. Shortly after that, we noticed a couple of tables get up and leave. I'm fairly certain that they had been seated for some time with no service. The food arrived in a reasonable time after we ordered. I had a Philly Cheesesteak. Just something easy. The cheesesteak, was pretty much that. Just cheese and steak. Supposed to have green peppers and onions, but there were certainly not enough for me to have an idea that they were there. We got the check, which was for the wrong table but got straightened out, and left. Unfortunately, time will pass and my memory will fand and I will undergo the whole disappointing experience again. I'm just stunned that this restaurant is still around.

Pros: Convenient location from where I live

Cons: Horrible Service, Subpar Food

Ok I am just going to say "Don't waste your time going here!Food is pretty good, but service is AWFUL!!!!!!! I have always had a bad experience there. The "manager" ( I use the term loosely) I believe his name is Michael is always more concerned about "his" girls than he is about "his" customers .I have actually witnessed him "hugging" and I also use that term loosely on his "staff".He always acts like he is right ontop of things, but inturn has NO CLUE!I have lived in Brookhaven for about 4 years now andwas lokking for somthing new. I am relatively young and probably would put up with a little more than the average american..but this place tested my limits!!!!

I understand the kinks when new restaurants open. I gave well over a monthe before my boyfriend and I ventured out to the new "sports bar". Their menu was stacked with items that said fresh... their sliders were frozen and tasted like something out of your grocery store freezer section. I was impressed with the beer selection on draft, but it turned out it was flat and warm. The service was unfriendl y and curt and made no attempt to engage in any conversation at the bar. They more at less took orders and new nothing in the means of offering any suggestions. Definitley a place that can not even compare to what they tried to copy. The tv's werer nice and impressive, but if you are sitting in a booth at the bar you can not see the full tv that is positioned in front of you. I heard that they were impressive... but with decor I will agree, it was a great effort and money spent. Food was horrible and service lacked passion and style. We won't be back. I should have driven to my original spot tucked behind the Westin.

A group us are members of running and biking groups. We often park before meeting up for dinner and drinks afterwards. We were recently booted and or towed while performing a run first. The owner had little regard for our past and pending patronage and his merciless actions speaks volumes about his organizations regard for others. Not high on my customer service meter, steer clear....

We went to HG to watch football this past weekend -- SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! We were a large party (eventually a group of 9) up in the bar area, intending to sit for a while (3+ hours for a game) and spend plenty of money on beers and food. Once we were seated, our server rushed right over to check our IDs for our pitcher of beer and then disappeared for 20 minutes.

The server was only attentive when a new member of our group sat down -- he sprinted over to check IDs and then would disappear again for 15-20 minutes, all the time when we were trying to order food and more beer. (It looked like he was training another server who was less than enthusiastic to be paired with him.)

With one quarter left in the game, we decided to order one last pitcher for our table. The server took the order and then the next time we saw him, he was chatting with other waitstaff near the kitchen. We flagged down the manager to say something, he immediately rushed over to perform "damage control." (We did get a free pitcher, but by that time, it didn't really help.)

On top of that, we broke down the bill very plainly for him - writing down the amounts for each card on the bill, AND we explained it to him. Did he get it right? Most certaintly not. The afternoon became spending more time trying to get our server's attention than being able to watch the football game. In fact, the only time the server was "right on top of things" was when he was clearing our table and wanted to collect the signed receipts to see how much in tips he got. RUDE!

We're not stingy people; had the bar been extremely busy, and he was busting his back to make sure all of his tables were covered, we would've been understanding. However, when you see other tables around you w/ the same server get up and leave because they can't get any service, that is a clear sign that something is wrong.

Despite how convenient it is for football watching, we'll find another place to bring our business.

Hudson Grille has taken over the old Jock's and Jill location in Brookhaven. That's all we can really say about this place. Like the previous reviewer said, beer is beer. Yes and good beer selection, and a decent patio. The food is just plain terrible. Bring back the Chicken Wings! Service needs help also. This is not really a good makeover for Brookhaven. How about a Marlowe's Tavern!

Went a couple times, first time around their opening- GREAT. There's a surprising selection of beers on tap (high gravity beers... yay!) and the veggie burger was excellent. Sat outside and the bartender was friendly and entertaining. Second time around, not so great... food or service wise- granted, new service staff still needs work. Beer is beer (good, though, if you order Rogue Dead Guy Ale on tap, let it sit for a while since it's too chill out of the tap to enjoy).

No this is not Einstein's, Joe's On Juniper, or any of those other Midtown clones, but it is close. The revamp of this part of Brookhaven, is a very good welcome. Hudson Grill has a nice patio, decent drinks, and a good place in the sun. But the offerings are just the same boring bruch items' served at their sister locations. Service is stiff, and the waits on the food are legendary. If you are in Brookhaven, it's a good place for a Bloody!

A plethora of flat-screen TVs are scattered around both the indoor and outdoor spaces. The lively scene is on the outdoor patio, equipped with a fireplace (plus heat torches for warmth in cold weather) and its own bar. For starters, share…
