Called the plumber for a clogged kitchen sink. Eddie ran water, confirmed it was clogged (I obviously knew that) and informed me it would require his "sink" machine that was in his truck. The standard charge was $411. I declined further service, paid his $45 trip charge and called another plumber. The other guy used a standard snake for about 15 minutes and unclogged for a fee of $80.

Had them out two days ago for a busted pipe from the recent freeze.
$168 to remove 3 snap together soffits; took about 3 minutes max.
Pipe was visible and easily accessible. Took a short time to remove broken section and put in a splice; another $440. Plumber was in and out in about 30-45 minutes.
$15 for Environmental Fee? Yeah, didn't understand that one either.
Grand total, about $10 in parts, all for a bargain $625.
Was also told I have a broken regulator, but they could replace for ONLY another $620...um, NO.
Doctors make less, and they close up the wound. I got to do the putting it all back myself.
In my opinion, this company takes advantage of desperate consumers, and socks it to them on cost. I can understand making a profit, but $625 per hour???
Next time, I'll get estimates and/or do it myself. Won't do business with them again... will tell everyone I can to do the same...

Wish I would have read all the reviews before using this company! I have owned my home for 4 1/2 years. We had a new drain field put in when we bought our home. For the past couple years I have had Best septic empty my tank no problems. I thought since Aames offered a lower price I would try them. BIG MISTAKE! They came emptied my tank and my tank has been leaking ever since! They emptied it on 2/29/12, today is 4/20/12 and they want to charge me a full rate to empty it again! Very bad customer service and "John" the so called manager is very combative and wants to blame everything and everybody except their company. Would never use again! Will pay the little extra for Best Septic anyday!

My septic system backed up on a Sunday morning just 16 months after I had Mr. Rooter in here for the same issue. Mr. Rooter charged me $2,200 to pump the tank, access the tank, replace a "T" at the front of the tank and jet the main line.
This time I called Aames and they were out here within 2 hours. I knew there would be upcharges to the $195 fee for additional hoses and possibly excessive sludge so no surprise there. The surprise came when the tech gave me an estimate to enter the tank, inspect it, jet the main line and the tank pumping for $850. He said the "T" work was well done and holding just fine and he jetted the line and alot of grease came out. He showed me all the grease. There was no way Mr. Rooter jetted that line with the amount that came out.
Aames then said he forgot to add in the tank entry fee but that was his fault so he did not charge me so he could stick to the original estimate.
I have been unemployed for 2 years and just recently found a new job and could not afford the entire $850 up front. They accepted a down payment and took the rest in a post dated check so I could wait till the next payday to finish payment.
The system works fine now and I will only call Aames from now on. Great job!

I had an awful experience with them - - total bait and switch regarding the hot water heater special. Have had my HWH changed twice before in the 24 years since I've lived in this home -- and have NEVER been charged an inconvenience fee because the heater is in the basement. He up-charged me on everything possible and griped that my basement wasn't easy for him. And, the technician totally missed the fact that I already had an expansion tank on the line. When I called the company to complain he came out and replied "how did you expect me to notice that"? It was 2 feet away from where he installed a 2nd one at $225. He was hostile, rude and I couldn't wait to get him out of my house. WORST PLUMBER EVER!!!!!! I live in a tight-knit community and am spreading the word thru all channels to avoid Aames Plumbing. On the other hand, I had a very good experience with an HVAC tech from Aames - Patrick was stellar!! Am thinking he should change companies!

This is by far the best service company I've ever used! I had a plumber and A/C tech out here and they were amazing! The office set it up to have them both here at the same time, saving me time. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I just wish they did electrical work because that's the next thing I have to get fixed. Perfect experience! Aames Plumbing comes highly recommended in my book!

Aames Plumbing and Heating & Air saved me from sweating away!!! I called 3 companies and was told it was at minimum $100.00 just to show up and it would be like 4 days before someone could com out but Aames came the same day!!! They have a $59.00 diag through the website so I was already pleased from the start! And Chris was phenominal! He knew exactly what he was talking about and had my A/C working within an hour of him being there! I will be calling for a water heater next week!

These guys were very friendly on the phone and really cared about my plumbing problem and the technician was even better!!! How is a mother of 4 supposed to cook dinner for the family when her kitchen sink is backing up?!? They had Ken T at my house in about an hour and 30 min. He unclogged the drain with some kind of machine, he called it a sink machine, and even wiped off the cabinets and the floor where the sink backed up on them. I am so thankful I finally found a reliable and honest plumber that I can depend on. Aames Plumbing will be my plumber for life! Thank you Ken T and the entire staff at Aames Plumbing for saving the day!!!
