Karen really helped me a lot quite recently when I was suffering from a lot of stiffness and a very limited range of motion in my neck and back. Not surprisingly, I was also going through a lot of personal/emotional stress at the same time, and Karen's adjustments and her compassionate and caring manner were a really huge help to me. I have just (finally!!!) gotten a job up in Maryland and am moving away from Atlanta, but, if I were staying around the area, I would definitely continue to see her on a regular basis.

On January 2nd, two hours before I was to fly to Hawaii on a long planned & anticipated vacation with my family, I was in EXTREME pain. Somehow, two days earlier, I awoke with my jaw out of alignment, Moving or opening my mouth was excruciatingly painful, and chewing was out of the question. Because I guessed it was an alignment issue, I called Dr. K who was able to squeeze me in on short notice.

The bottom line: she diagnosed my misalignment and used her activator effectively. Within 5 hours, my jaw was back in alignment and I could talk/eat/drink painfree for the first time in 48 hours. Our entire trip up to today has been pain free.

I threw my back out right before New Year's Eve, leaving me bed-ridden for about a week. I was hesitant to go to a chiropractor, seeing as though I've never been to one. I figured my back would just heal itself, especially since I'm still young (24) and never had any back problems. After a week with no improvement, I gave in and made an appointment to see Dr. Karen. I was incredibly nervous at first, but Dr. Karen made me feel very comfortable with the whole experience. She is a very kind, friendly person who I feel really tries to get to know her patients on a personal level. I don't know why I waited. After the first 2 visits, I was already feeling worlds better. She told me exactly what was causing the pain, and described what needed to be done to fix it. Her office hours are perfect for the 9-5 worker, being open until 7pm Monday-Thursday. She is also open on Saturdays by appointment, which is really great. After the first visit, I didn't even need to make an appointment, I just dropped in, and in about 20 minutes I was out the door and on with my day. I am so glad that I found Dr. Karen. I highly recommend her for anyone who has never been to a chiropractor, or to anyone who is not 100% satisfied with their current chiropractor! She is great!

I went to Dr. Karen for horrible neck pain that was excruciating, it was my first time to chiropractor. I am an athlete who competes in triathlons and I don't think I could have completed another with out fixing this neck issue. I am completely pain free and go to keep my body fine tuned! I would highly recommend anyone going to see her! Great location too!

Having recently undergone major surgery, getting back under Dr. Karen's care has lead to a speedy recovery. My lower back was suffering from being in the prone position for a long time after surgery. Immediately after my return to her care I have steadily improved and my health is greatly improved. Dr. Karen listens to you and tailors her treatment to your specific need. Thanks Dr. Karen...your the best!!!

Dr. Karen truly is a miracle worker - she has the gift of touch, of communication, of education and of heart. I began seeing her in 2007 for an unusual complaint: damage to my body from two hospital diseases (MRSA staph infection and necrotizing fasciitis). After working with numerous doctors, physical therapists, medications, etc., a friend recommended that I try Dr. Karen. Not only has she provided immense relief from chronic pain, but she has put me on the path to permanent, better health. I no longer use a walker, the damage from both diseases has been minimized, and I experience immediate change and relief from the moment she finishes an adjustment. All this, despite the prediction of medical doctors!
On a side note, Dr. Karen crosses paths with many different people from all walks of life. Her heart/intuition have provided her with the gift of being a "Connector," defined as a person who "connects" people, based on need, within the community. (Source: Dr. Malcolm Gladwell's book _The Tipping Point_).
I highly recommend Dr. Karen Joanson-Scott, and would happily supply any references needed by potential/new patients.

I've been to a few chiropractors in the past and Dr K is by far the best. She's really cares about her patients!!!! I won't even consider another chiropractor.
I went to her with a tingling pain in my shoulder and I could immediately feel a difference after my first visit.
I highly recommend Dr K!!!

I am Healed and Back in the ring! That's right, after months of sparring in the boxing ring, I finally broke down and went to see Dr. Karen to get treatment on my neck. Honestly, I let it get to the point where my neck was so sore, I could hardly turn my head. During my initial visit, Dr. Karen did a great job of explaining everything and exactly how the treatments would help my condition. After just a few adjustments, I felt so much better and was able to jump back in the ring and continue boxing. I can't thank Dr. Karen enough. If you need a good chiropractor, I would definitely recommend that you go see her.

My daughter dances for the Atlanta Ballet and experiences severe back pain at times. She has seen several chiropractors for this condition but was not getting the full relief she needed. The day she went to see Dr Joanson she was experiencing severe back pain and could not take a deep breath. Through the advanced tecnological equipment Dr Joanson uses she was able to identify where her pain was (and that she had a rib out of place) and through her adjustment she was able to provide the relief my daughter has so desperately needed. Thank you Dr Joanson for helping my daughter and for helping me as well. You are the best!

Dr. Karen Joanson is excellent! She is very gentle, extremely knowledgeable, and I have enormous confidence in her skills and care. I was used to the best in my previous city, and I feel that I have found the best here in Atlanta. Dr. Karen is also a wonderful person, who supports her clients in every aspect of their lives. She is interested in me as a total person, and has a great network of other excellent resources, spanning other types of health care, training and fitness, even just general business contacts. You will love her!

Dr Karen is great! She's knowledgable, very effective, very people oriented. She's a Dr. who actually cares about her patients' health. Dr Karen makes you feel like family not just a patient. She's has help much more than just my back.... she helpd my allergies, stress, migraines and sooooo much more.

Dr Karen is highly rated by the International Chiropractor Assocaition as one of the best in the profession. As a patient of hers, it is my opinion she is THE BEST. Knowledgable, caring, excellent with people - kids and adult alike, Very Effective

Dr. Karen has made such a major difference in my life. I'm a professional auto mechanic and do a lot of bending and standing. My back was killing me to the point of making work miserable. After chiropractic care by Dr Karen, my job has become pain free. My wife also is a patient of Dr Karen - for the last four years. Thanks Doc, we love ya lots ! You ARE the BEST !

Dr. Karen is a GREAT chiropractor! She has great rapport with her patients who are treated like friends and family instead of patients. She is great with patients of all ages, from children to adults, and is truly concerned with her patients' health and well-being. Visiting Dr. Karen's office is a wonderfully positive experience. I started treatment for migraine headaches and tension in my neck and shoulders and have seen dramatic differences since seeing Dr. Karen.
