Overall our experience was pretty bad. We got seated at a huge table so that it was hard to talk to each other especially since the music was really loud. The drinks were ok even though they were quite pricey. The food was not very good. The sliders were ok but the noodles in the Mac 'n Cheese were totally overcooked. The burger that my friend ordered was less then mediocre. The fact that the food wasn't good, the noise level was very high and the check was almost 40$ per person (which would be fine if the food was any good) made it a quite unpleasant experience. And then there was also the overwhelming smell of truffle oil throughout the whole restaurant...

I have eaten at Ketchup several times and it's always a great experience! The place has a fun, hip energy to it and the food is awesome. My favorite things I've tried so far there are the mac&cheese, shake&bake chicken, pork chop, and of course the fries or tots with all the different kinds of ketchup! It's a cool place to take a date or go with a group of friends before you hit up a club or concert along the sunset strip. Definitely one of my favorite hollywood restaurants!

I dined at Ketchup last weekend while celebrating my best friends birthday. We were seated right away by the open window with a perfect view of Sunset Blvd. The waiter was super kind and quick with our drinks. We ordered the mini chicken tacos and the famous mac & cheese (AAAHHHMAZING!), I chose the pork chop for dinner which was juicy and flavorful! Then I asked the waiter to do something for the birthday girl and she suggested the deep fried oreos and placed a candle on it. My friend had a wonderful birthday and I can say with full certainty that I will be returning for a second, third, and more times! :)
TOTALLY recommend this restaurant to you!

My son took us there last summer - I've wanted to go for such a long time! Eventhough we had reservations we still waited 45 min for a table. To make it worse, we watched people, (parties of 4 or more) that came in after us get a table first. The 3 of us we were starving and frustrated! The hostess kept telling us "I'm so sorry, I'll seat you shortlly" then she looked around the room and selected a group of people and seated them. When we did get seated the hostess told us it took so long because they were waiting for a table/space to seat 3 people! (WTF!) It took some time for someone to come and take our order. Our food FINALLY arrived - it was good and we had a great time, but I'm not sure if I'll every go back again.

MMMM MMM GOOD!!!

I've been hearing about Ketchup for so long now and finally gave it a try. Last week I had some friends come visit me from school, so i figured it was the perfect time to go. We went on a Friday night and I could have not made a better choice. We were welcomed by the host and taken right to our table which had an amazing view of the Sunset Strip! My friends were so excited they had never seen a restaurant like this all the white and red decor was so clean looking.

Were were greeted within a few minutes by our waitress Maria whom brought warm ( AMAZING) corn bread and pretzels with her, so right there we instantly liked her. :)

We all ordered different items so we could all share, we made our own little buffet. Everything was so delicious from our mix of french fries to the home baked MAc N Cheese!!! and they may have had the biggest burgers I've ever seen. To top it off we had fried Oreos for desert!!! ( possibly two orders)

I was very pleased with KEtchup and glad I made that the choice to bring my friends and show them what LA is all about!

MAKE SURE TO TRY ALL THE KETCHUPS!!!

i tried ketchup for the first time this weekend before going to see my brother in law at the comedy store. it is a perfect place to begin the evening. we were able to get a table after a short wait at the bar with floor to ceiling glass walls with a view of the sunset strip (nice for our out of town guest to see) the bartender was generous with the pour which is always very nice. as for the food the best part was the variety of the ketchups with the combination of sweet potato and regular fries. my favorite was the spicy buffalo wings.
also the valet is very convenient so yo ucan eat then go to other parts of the strip
we will go back to ketchup very soon

I LOVE Ketchup! You get a great view of Sunset Blvd.. The food is very tasty and affordable. Very fun and cool layout. I love the mini hot dogs and the five different Ketchups. I always come back for more. Great place to get cocktails before going out as well =)

We took our out of town guests to dinner this weekend at Ketchup. The views of the hills though the sliding glass doors are incredible ? and the perfect opportunity to sightsee for our out of town friends. Our friends were impressed by the good looking yet friendly waitstaff ? our waiter gave them some great recommendations for experiencing LA and even bought us a round of shots!

We LOVE that the place is non-intimidating ? we dined comfortably and really had a great overall experience from music and drinks in the lounge to the S?mores we shared for dessert! We parked in the alta loma lot in Sunset Plaza for easy/cheap access ? the hostess will validate your ticket for you.

The food was good and reasonably priced compared to other nice restarants (at least for lunch), but the place seemed to take itself a bit too seriously.

I ordered the sausage, and peppers, mushroom Risotto dish, which was very filling and very flavorful. Prices weren't outrageous and the service was good. Good job Ashton!

Pros: Great food, great atmosphere, and great portions

Cons: Lacking beautiful waitresses

The food was great and the wasabi ketchup is to die for! However, the lighting is dark (I prefer to see my food) and the wait staff wasn't great. But if you want good food I highly recommend it!

I love Ketchup! I've been there twice. It's regular American food made more higher class. It has a nice lounge area and the decor of the place always makes me happy when I'm in there. I agree with another reviewer stating it's hip and trendy. I've never had a complaint

Upon coming in for our reservation last saturday, we were happily greeted at the entrance by two very attractive hostesses where we were asked to head upstairs to wait in the lounge for our table. To our surprise, we were seated very promptly, especially considering the size of the restaurant compared to the large number of people that were there. Our server was at the table as soon as we sat down, and our food following not too long behind. The food itself was great, with the kitchen mastering the technique of putting their own creative, and very interesting, spin on what seems to be simple comfort food. The atmosphere itself was very hip and trendy, with a surprisingly wide age range. The restaurant seems to be great for all ages, and although its a great place to start before going out on a Friday or Saturday night, it's definitely a place everyone will enjoy,

It's hip, trendy & fabulous but none of the waiters have an attitude! In fact the service there has always been so friendly , helpful & informative. I took some friends that were visiting from out of town a few nights ago, it was my fifth visit & as always a great experience. The pork ribs are terrific & I LOVE the seabass. They have some wonderful martini specials (love the summer lovin') & a unique huge open window overlooking Sunset Blvd. Love it!!!

This is a great place to hang out with your friends or to take a date! Overlooking Sunset Blvd. provides much to talk about and the staff was nothing but friendly and entertaining. The night was spiced up by a pretty girl comig to our table with a free martini sample, we loved that! The food was excellent....starting out with mini tacos that were awesome, followed by the flavorful short rib that was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Then we ended the night with an ice cream sandiwch on homemade choc. chip cookies, to die for! I will definitely be back!

Ketchup is mad kool except on 50% OFF SUNDAYS!! In exception to any other day, on Sundays you betta set a reservation in advance and for 6pm (right when they open). That's if you want food...otherwise you will be ordering french fries and grilled chicken breast...and be enjoying the view not the food LOL. I totally recommend the "Land" section of the menu...steak or short ribs. The threesome app is good as well.

Basic food, check out the menu on their website. Great views from the top floow down onto Sunset.

I ate at Ketchup while on vacation after hearing about it from a friend. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting it to be THIS good. The food was delicious! I had the Shake n Bake (pistachio-crusted chicken). It was amazing! My friend got the scallops and loved them. The service was wonderful. Our server recommended some fabulous martinis for us.

I also really LOVED the ambience of Ketchup. Everything is white, with red accents. It's on the second floor and has a giant window along the back wall that looks over the Sunset Strip. It was, overall, a great dining experience!!

If you are going to Ketchup for the food or service STOP right now! This place has never been lauded for their cuisine. It's just diner food kicked up a few notches. But thanks to The Hills TV show this place gets a ton of girls. Sure many are riff raff from the East Side but among the rest are some gems. That's what Ketchup is all about. It's still hip, still pretty busy and you can meet cool people there. Go there for the scene, enjoy the bar, and if you meet someone cool, stay for dinner. Not really a date place though so couples you may want to skip this place.

Go to Ketchup if you want a sophisticated atmosphere, great food, and fun that won't break the bank! The staff was gorgeous, attentive, and unpretentious. The lighting was perfectly flattering! I was 30 min late for my reservation at 10pm, but got some tasty raspberry mojitos at the bar and didn't have to wait long for a table--even though the place was packed! The music was great and everyone there was laughing and having a great time--myself included! The menu options are fun, the portion size is just right, everything my party ordered was cooked and seasoned perfectly, presented beautifully. I will go back for the mac n cheese alone!! The drinks were pricey (same as everywhere else), but the bill for the meal put a smile on my face!!

In general, i really enjoyed my dining experience at Ketchup! The atmosphere was very cool, great decor gave a hip and trendy feel. I thought it was cool how the restaurant overlooked the Sunset Strip. I had the Baby Back Ribs and they were amazing - came with mac n cheese that was mouthwatering. My date had the Drunken Scallops and she thought they were VERY GOOD. We were a little dissappointed with the French Fry appetizer though - we really thought the 5 different kinds of ketchup would have been something amazing (since the place is named Ketchup), but instead they were just okay (to be honest, i would have preferred Heinz ketchup with the 3 variety of fries). Despite the ketchup issue, we would definitely come back again. The restaurant is by far not cheap, but we really didn't find it overly expensive either. It is definitely a good date place!

My friend was visiting from San Francisco...and when we drove by Ketchup, she recognized it from the show "The Hills," and really HAD TO TRY IT OUT!
The service was really good...
It was too pricey... about $100 for us both, without drinks!
good crowd... loud & full of energy, but I like that.
I ordered the salmon.. it was tasteless & the fishiest salmon I've ever had.. but cooked about right. Just had no flavor.. I found that the veggies & mashed potatoes also lacked flavor.
My friend ordered the sliders.. they were the smallest 2 sliders we'd ever seen.
After we gave our order, we were treated to 2 big warm pretzels.. which was nice.
The desserts are too simple..
The portions of the entrees are just about right... but really flavorless.. no sauces and not too fresh tasting... but I bet they have SOME good dishes.
The guys working there are cool.. the young women at the front, are not too attentive.. but harmless.
Really cool inside.. worth checking out .. even the bar is a nice place to grab a bite.
Oh.. The martini sampler is like a dim sum cart brought to the table & a shot is made just for each guest.. for just a small gratuity to the martini bartender. Nice idea!

People think this restaurant would be a great place to go to because celebrities go there like the cast of The Hills, Run's House, and The Girls Next Door, but in actuality, it is okay, but not great. There are better restaurants in Los Angeles.

Very trendy. Food is not great at all, small portions and a bit tasteless. Don't go hungry. It's definately a fun place to hang out with your friends, with a nice view. I would probably only go on Sunday's because of their 50% deal off of food (I really would rather not pay full price for that food).

This trendalicious, Hollywood hot spot is a must-eat for those who want to score a pretty decent meal while keeping their eyes peeled for celebrity patrons. My friends and I spotted 90210 vet and former Dancing with The Stars contestant- Ian Zering- while feasting on flavoral french-fries with different types of ketchups to dip into. We also dug into the mini kobe beef burgers which were surprisingly filling for such a tiny treat. The cherry on top of the entire meal was the magnificent macaroni & cheese with dunganess crab and truffles. For someone who does not typically like mac & cheese- I would say that this was the most memorable and delicious dish of the night (even better than spotting a 90210 hottie!) The place is expensive, but pretty worth the fabulous night of fantastic food and stylish ambiance.

Seating ~ no bad seats in the house. The little martini cart was so unique, they let you try free samples. The food was amazing and didn't take long at all. I had the beer can chicken and he had the ribs w/the side of Mac n' Cheese. That is a must try here.
This place is def. worth the $$$...We are looking forward to going back.

This is a trendy, young place. Its a nice breath of air.....

Pros: Nothing here

Cons: Great food, staff, and prices

We have been there a few times, always like the decor and atmosphere and decent customer service. This time we actually paid attention to the food and it was disappointing: burger sliders were bland, mini hot dogs were ordinary, beer can chicken was tasteless, and BBQ chicken was dry as a bone. Sweet potato fries were sweet by nature, unnecessary to add sugar......for the prices of menu, they were not worth it.

I went there in a group of 8 and had an absolute blast! While we were waiting for our party, we had some fun drinks at the bar - mine was made with Yoo-Hoo so good! We ordered everything from the steak to the bbq salad, shake n bake chicken, ribs, fries, etc., etc. and it was ALL GOOD and very flavorful! One person said the Kobe steak was a little overdone but that was the only complaint I heard about the food. The waitresses were nice as well. The only complaint we had about the service was that the restaurant only takes 3 credit cards. I can partially understand this, but for a group of 8, it took awhile to separate everyone's tabs and find enough cash to cover the rest of the (fat) bill. But even with that, it was worth it!

Took a friend for her birthday. She had a very good time. Our waiter was wonderful. She had a blast. The atmosphere was fun and trendy...just like my friend. The food was good. I don't recommend the Kobe Sliders. Although the Kobe Beef was good, the restaurants choice of Bread is suspect. It's a little on the hard side, and I don't recommend the Ding Dong desert. They say creamy filling, just like in the Hostess Ding Dong...ALL LIES. It's just a little drizzle of Vanilla sauce on the top. VERY DISAPPOINTING! But it's still fun and worth the try, ALSO WORTH A TRY IS THE CRAB MACARONI AND CHEESE. OMG!!!!

I went there for lunch.

Prices are a bit on the higher side.

The decor is nice and simple.

The french fries and all the dipping sauces are the best part.

This place is all about atmosphere. The food is decent but over priced. It is very important to show up on time for the reservation- especially if it is for a large group.

I went here for my birthday dinner and I really enjoyed the hip and trendy atmosphere. The drink I ordered was good and we got free shots because it was my birthday! Everyone was nice and the food was pretty good. There could definitely be more options on the menu, but it's overall a great place for a special occasion or to hang out and get drinks with friends.

Pros: Ambience, ketchup!

Cons: Pricey, but it depends on what you get

Ketchup is a hip diner and lounge with modern decor and a view of the Strip. The menu includes comfort food with a twist like mini hot dogs and burgers. Be prepared for a long wait on weekends even with a reservation. Very young crowd.

Yesterday was my birthday and I went to Ketchup with my two sons (my husband had to work). We had a great time considering it was a very last minute decision.

The staff was wonderful. Beginning with when I called to see if I could get a last minute reservation, to the hostess who graciously seated us (with two children!) at the prime window seat so the boys could lean out over Sunset Boulevard as the sun set, to the terrific waitress, who got us another YooHoo (non-alcoholic) shooter when the little guy promptly knocked his over upon receipt. And thanks to the nice busboy who wiped up not one but two spills.

My older son had ribs, a little spicy for him, but really good sauce. He had to scrape some of the sauce off due to the spiciness, but then ate the very tender ribs in record speed. The macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were terrific also, rich, but not overly so. All very flavorful, and subtle. We also had lobster served in lettuce cups, a little lacking in flavor.

The fries (of course we had fries!) were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Our favorite was a toss up between the garlic fries and sweet potato fries - no mealiness, each perfectly cooked. The garlic fries were not over-powering, once again, very subtle. And the ketchup is great! Except the yellow one, which is more of a mango sauce.

I had the scallops. Perfectly cooked, slightly underdone in the center, nicely sauced with a delicate white sauce, served with baby vegetables: grilled squash, carrots and green beans.

For dessert, we had the s'mores and the cookie ice cream sandwich. The cookies were still warm when served. The guys at the next table took one look at the ice cream sandwich and promptly ordered one for themselves.

The service really made my (birthday) night, everyone was very kind to my children and me. And the food was very good. It is so rare to get that in one place. Thank you, Ketchup. We will be back, often.

Cons: A little pricey.

The ambience is very cool. A modern twist on retro if that is possible. The food is expensive and nothing to write home about at best. I was exteremely dissapointed in the fries and KETCHUP of all things. Youd expect them to have perfected that side dish hence the restaurant name, but nothing about it was good. They tried too hard to be ultra gourmet on comfort food dishes.. I would reccommend coming here for the bar/lounge area and then veturing somewhere else on sunset for food.

If it weren?t for half-price Sunday (food only, not alcholic drinks), complimentary shots, and free street parking, I would feel gypped. We got Fries, Lobster Wrap, Kobe BLT Slider, Mini Chili Dog, Mini Chicken Tacos, Ice Cream Sandwich. Chicken Tacos was good, the rest were kind of cold and just ok. The air condition was on high too so that didn?t help our dining experience. Lobster Wrap, Kobe BLT Slider, Kobe Chili Dog are great ideas, but could be more flavorful and served warm. Espciallally the Sliders, the cheese could?ve been melted in between the bun and the meat, so the whole thing binds together, but it looked like it was all assembled at room temp. as for the Ice Cream Sandwich, the two cookies were too big for the amount of ice cream served with (or not enough ice cream for the size of the cookies), and a little burnt so kind of hard. for 2, plus a Vodka Tonic $42 pre tip

i was expecting ketchup to be horrible considering how trendy it is, so when i was dragged there i was really surprised that the food was actually very good, expecially considering the reasonable prices, i highly recommend the scallops and the pork chop (but skip dessert it isnt worth the calories) the staff was also very friendly and gave great suggestions (to my surprise) in addition the manager came by and spent a considerable amount of time making sure we enjoyed our experience. if you want to get in and out this is not the place for you because service will take awhile, but if you want to relax and have a few drinks (which you can even get for free from the shot cart that comes around) and you dont think that you are too cool for school then this is a great option. i would recommend taking some out of town friends here so they can get the "hollywood" experience while also being treated well and getting good food at pretty reasonable prices.

I wanted to write a review after dining here numerous times within the past year it has been opened. After several disappointing experiences at the other Dolce Group restaurants (& club), I had to give a positive review to Ketchup, for the mere fact that the service here is just basically better than all the other places combined. The management has changed over the course of the past few months; one of them (the handsome one, go figure, but it's LA) was rather aloof; I watched him ask every patron around us how they were doing, & skip right over our table, wondering if he had something personal against me, yet he would swoop right down to remove an empty glass from my table without saying a word. Even the busboys had a smile on their face whether they were delivering an appetizer (kobe sliders or mini chicken tacos) or taking away dishes. The cocktail cart girl Amy was a sweetheart, but it looks like she has left & another one has stepped in who so far has been right on par with the previous one. As for my title, just a sly reminder that Tara Reid once roamed the kitchen & not that that should have anything to do with the food or experience but funny how things seem to be much better now than they were in the start...Ketchup has come a long way from its conception for the better...you almost forget it's a part of the Dolce Group...

Cons: Mgmt needs to stop texting/talking on their phones & pay attention to the dining room

Ketchup surpassed my expectation. I had seen it on the Hills and in US Weekly but I had no idea it was a first class restaurant. I loved the Scandalous Lobster Wraps and the Mini Kobe Beef Chili Dogs!!! The music was upbeat and had me and my girls dancing in our seats. Love the red globe lights! I even saw one of the owners, Lonnie Moore (from Millionare Matchmaker), sitting with a bevy of blondes. I recomment Ketchup to all KN's!

Went to ketchup on Wednesday night and it was awesome. The place was packed and the vibe was cool and alive. The pretzel bread basket was a good starter and the drink cart girl brough over free shots to start the night. I guess they have a new dish on the menu called DELIVERANCE , which is a jack daniel's glazed pork chop served with cheesey grits, it was amazing. Our server was fun and made it a cool experience.

Really fun place to go with great food. Service is very fast, friendly, and well informed. They also have a great lounge to hang out at and get drinks. Ketchup is the perfect date restaurant; the place is always packed with tons of (hot) girls and celebrities. The only problem is that you have to get a reservation ahead of time because the place fills up quickly. The wine list was also very impressive. Ketchup is perfect for both the young and older crowd.

So I went to ketchup not too sure what to expect. It's been hyped so much and being next to Sunset Plaza I expected it to be totally 'sceney' and cheesy. However I was really, really wrong! From the moment you walk in everyone is so friendly and helpful, I went on a Thursday night and the place was packed but I still felt everyone was very attentive. My waitress was awesome, so sweet and knowledgeable and the manager couldn't have been more helpful. The food is delicious, I was celebrating so I treated myself to the kobe steak and it was so delicious, the lobster mashed potatoes so decadent. My boyfriend had the ribs with a side of mac and cheese which was so good we had to order an extra one on the side. The atmosphere was all-in-all buzzing, I saw 'mini-me' from Austin Powers sitting across from me and there were tonnes of other glamorous people running around. All in all this restaurant is of course, part of the scene, but its food is delicious, the service some of the best I've had in LA, and the atmosphere and glamor of the restaurant, really something to go and experience.

So I went to Ketchup on a Friday night expecting a normal hollywood restaurant for my friends B day and we were so surprised!! Not only was the food DELICIOUS but all the staff was really nice and friendly, not to mention beautiful. The managers came and talked to our table and even gave us some free "party shots." We did have to wait about 15 minutes for our table even with a reservation but the service was fast and it was well worth it! My friend thought I was amazing for picking such a fun B day place and we will definitely be going back.
