Poor service, poor food
by Masa T.
I am Japanese. I ordered unagi bonburi (eel in bowl of rice) and my wife ordered udon (thick noodles in soup base).
Waited almost hour and half to eat unagi and sadly, they served the unagi that is used for sushi. Unagi donburi is a totally different preparation. Hey, don't try to fool a Japanese. My wife's udon never came. Service was terrible. They didn't even apologize. We left and went to Burger King up the street.

The service is unprofessional and AWFUL! Will never go back.

We had reservations for two for hibachi at 7pm. After 45 minutes we asked how much longer, they said 30 minutes to an hour. 45 minutes later we asked how much longer, they said plates were being set down now and we would be seated "soon". 20 minutes later we go up again, the table is completely full. They tell my husband they have no idea when we will be seated. He says we've been waiting 2 hours, we did not just walk in, but had reservations and says we will take a table if they take a percentage off our check. The Host literally laughs and says no. We finally just leave just after 9 pm without being seated and/or served.

Sushi Rocks!! Service Sucks!
by Tiffany C.
I have been to Hana quite a few times now and I usually try something different everytime. Last time I had the filet and even though it was a little pricey it was AMAZING!!! The wait stuff really does need some training. They dont seem to have assigned sections and thier english leaves much to be desired. I always sit at the grill now because it is really great. If you are a sushi person and happen to sit at the sushi bar they always seem to be giving out new things to you and they make us all kinds of stuff so its a great way to try things with out buying them. I really enjoy it there and am happy to have a new choice in S.V.

We have already been there four times and they've only been open a couple of months I think. Sitting at the hibachi grill is fun. Be aware you might get some saki on you.
I found out that I really don't like raw fish, but that's not the restaurant's fault. The california roll is awesome, the fancy salmon roll is also great.
The restaurant atmosphere is very nice. Surprising really that it's in Sierra Vista.
I'd rate it 5 stars, but the wait staff seems to be a little confused and indecisive. The first time we went we made a reservation. When we showed up it was busy and it seemed like the person who was making reservations had no idea what to do. He started to seat us, then realized there weren't enough spots at the grill. I don't think the reservations there actually mean anything, they just write your name down because that's what they've been told to do. Maybe some host/hostess training is in order.
Overall we've loved it however.

When I walked into Hana Tokyo, I thought I was transported to another city. Is this restaurant really in Sierra Vista? The food was excellent, the Hibachi Grill was fun, and the ambiance was intriguing. My only complaints are the service is a little slow and the food is a little expensive. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant.
