Delicious breakfast, but there is always a wait in the mornings. Place is really popular with the locals. They always have great daily specials and delicious daily muffins.

I love to go here for breakfast. It's small but upscale. Go early or wait outside! The food is super fresh and the staff was very nice. love love love this place!

I've been to Nick's for dinner, breakfast, and lunch. All meals are wonderful. The pasta is al dente and tastes delicious. The warm shrimp salad (a seasonal version slightly different from the one in the menu on the website) actually made me like beets. For breakfasts, the hotcakes are out of this world (tried with the special fruit compote that day). The French toast is very thick and gooey (in a good way, but a kid used to french toast sticks or wonder bread might not like it).

Yesterday, I had the soup (a vegan split-pea) and half-sandwich (herb chicken with goat cheese) for lunch. I was full all afternoon. The sandwich was so good I literally found myself licking my fingers.

The service is prompt and friendly without being overbearing. You can see the kitchen, and the staff seems very interested in how well you enjoy your food. It makes for a great atmosphere. Nick's is always crowded, though, so you may be in close quarters with your fellow patrons, so it's not the place to discuss an upcoming insider trade.

Strongly recommended!!!

Editorial from

Nick's has sometimes been described as a diner, and while that might be apt if you come for breakfast when locals patiently queue outside for chef Derek Wagner's tofu scrambles, cheddar frittatas and vanilla-battered french toast, it's…

Wait, you're the expert.

It's easy, only takes a couple of minutes and you'll help thousands make an informed decision.
