Do not get to get out to City Island much, but had a chance at a end of the year party and view and food at Artie's was something that I never experienced before. Got to go!!!
While visiting some friends in the Bronx, we decided to go to dinner at Artie's Steak and Seafood. What a pleasure! Great environment, waitstaff catered to us the entire night and the chef's preparations of our meals was flawless. Highly recommend.
The smells on the street alone lure you in. fair prices, cozy seating, excellent seafood and pasta, good desserts, attentive service. Worth a visit.

was waiting for a (booth) for shantys. decided to grab a drink at arties and
throw my name in for a table. bar was good. seating was in the time\told for the wait.

Believe Artie's to be under new management. Piped in music much too loud. The previous friendly, accommodating service was not to be experienced. Menu offered nothing exceptional. Spaghetti was saturated in sauce. Waiter inexperienced. Most shocking was to see a couple come in with a dog. The dog (certainly not a see-eye dog), quietly sat under their table. Dogs in restaurants are in violation of the Health code.
Pros: Good parking facility
Cons: Inexperienced waiters
I've had delicious food at Artie's when I went with a friend... however I've been there for parties on a couple of occasions and the seafood platter was terrible both times. Artie's cannot host parties, period.
