This spot has flawlessly made treats - light and tasty. Natural product filled cakes and cheesecakes like the daintily cut pears on top of a softly sweet and delicate cake with creme are just too great to leave behind.

Sadly not a croissant heaven ... The croissant we know just melts in one's mouth. But here, it is dense without layers. Only nice thing is the chopped almonds spread on the surface, making it better than supermarket croissants.

Flaky, buttery pastries are the star attraction (they have this chocolate-banana pastry that is seriously addictive), just the right combination of crispy outside and soft, chewy inside. Breakfast is good too. French toast is soft and custardy and often doesn't need syrup. It's worth the extra wait when they're busy. Good espresso. Lunch is less memorable: my salad was kind of plain, and sandwiches are filling but just ok. Outdoor seating in front and behind the place, a big plus. Gets crowded on weekends.

Not just bakery, but also preparing hot foods, like eggs for breakfast. The seating can be a tad cramped, but all in all, you can get in and out in a half hour, not spend more than 10-20 bucks, and have a wonderful breakfast for two!

Pros: Good food, good coffee, good place for a weekend morning bite to eat.

Cons: Street parking, might have to wait for a table, lines are sometimes long.

Amandine breathes a touch of class into the otherwise lackluster West LA eating scene. The pastries are delicate, tortes are rich, and omelettes are heavenly. I'm surprised more people don't know about this lovely bakery. Allez! Bon

I didn't realize the Amandine Patissiere was up the street from me until my parents told me it's the place they always have breakfast or brunch when they are in town visiting from NYC. I went to check it out and was pleasantly suprised to find a fairly authentic French Patissiere in my hood. This morning I picked up a couple of pain au chocolate for a brunch party and they were a hit. Everything I have had here is made with care and is delicious. Forget Starbucks or Peets, this is the place to get the best coffee in SM.

I'm absolutely in love with their Nicoise salad and their pear tart!! I agree that the back patio doesn't have the greatest view, but it's relaxing to have your lunch there on the weekdays. Finding parking depends on your luck and time
