This is a great Salon and Giovanna Davis is an amazing colorist. Having blonde highlighted hair that isnt ruined is not an easy task but she does. I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone looking to have amazing color.

Cathy Carr knocked it out of the park for me. My color and cut look great. I have super difficult hair to color. Fine and a ton of it!

I felt like the consultaion she gave me was to the point and she delivered ! You know hair dressers tell you one thing and most of the time get another....... usally pretty scary for me but I just knew I was in the hands of a seasoned proffessional.

As I was leaving the salon she made me feel really good and invited me too call her anytime regarding my hair or upcoming appointments.

Not so easy to get an appointment... but worth it!

Ok another plus the salon is super nice,elegant comfort and her assisant was such a doll.

I had a wonderful experience! Caroline was very professional and listened to my needs and concerns. In the past, I have had trouble getting my color just right. She did a great job with the color and also suggested a glaze, which really made my hair shine and gave the color a more natural look. I have also had problems with my hair style falling out an hour after I left the salon, but not with Caroline. The style lasted all day. She also cut my hair so that I can style it more easily myself. I can't wait to go back!

Denise at Jon Ric is amazing. My regular hairdresser at Planet 21 had a baby and decided not to come back. I was nervous to try a new salon but really it was time for a change. I asked for a consult at Jon Ric with the owner of the salon. I was told the owner was Denise. She knew right away why my hair was too heavy in the front and too flat in the back. She brought out styling magazines and showed me what she would like to do with my hair. I loved her ideas. Not ony did she know what my hair needed but she had the skill set to pull it off. I recently had a facial with Jenny who is the esthetician at Jon Ric. She was very knowledgeable and not to mention fun to talk to! She made me feel at ease and relaxed. I got an hour long facial that included an amazing hand and arm massage. She also helped me pick out some products to use at home which I am IN LOVE WITH! I have been to so many spas/salons here in Charlotte searching for a great esthetician-I am stopping my search at Jon Ric!

Where do I start...I desparately needed to find someone who could listen to my hair needs, and still give me advise and direction on how to stay current. THAT WAS DENISE! As Denise and I spoke before she started, I could immediately tell she knew what I needed! She gave me a fabulous haircut and the most natural looking highlights ever. My hair is so shinny, I LOVE IT. Make your appointments NOW, she's worth the wait!!

I recently moved to Charlotte from New York City and tried another salon based on a recommendation. The stylist literally ruined my once healthy, natural blonde highlighted hair. I was devastated.

Until I found Cathy. I took a leap of faith based on reviews I saw on line and, boy, did it pay off. Not only does her correction look a million times better straight out of the salon, I have total faith that as I continue to see her it will get better + better.

The salon is lovely + high end, the staff was great. It WAS an expensive undertaking, however, that was due to the time she had to spend to repair the botch job the other stylist did. I will absolutely pay more to have the peace of mind that a professional is being the work.

I thought I would never find a great hairdresser ever again. Coming from England ten years ago it took me a year to find a stylist. I had been with her for for nine years but was always frustrated when I went back to England and everyone had cute, up-to-date hairstyles. Finally I found Cathy at Jon Ric Hair Salon. My hair has never looked so good. She knew exactly what to do with my color and always gives me a modern hairstyle which I always love. It's expensive but it's worth it.

Cathy Carr is truly brilliant. I am thrilled that I left the colorist that I had been seeing for the past 12 years and booked an appointment with Cathy. When I walked into Jon Ric, my hair was a brassy, frizzy mess. My former stylist had been ""breaking the base"", which left me with way too many colors in my hair- none of them good. Cathy took one look at me and said, ""Your shade is off."" She was exactly right. She colored my hair a brighter, cooler, beautiful blonde, with perfect low-lights. It's much more sophisticated and has done wonders for my overall look. Cathy was extremely professional, took her time, and basically did a full ""color correction"" when I was only scheduled for a partial foil. The cut she gave me was also fantastic. Honestly, I felt like a movie star, with inside access to the ""VERY BEST OF THE BEST!"" I won't be going back to my old salon again.

I've looked a long time for a stylist in Charlotte who does great blonde highlights -- and I finally found Cathy Carr! We talked about what I wanted and she really got it - the result was really natural looking, flattering, shiny highlights. She does a meticulous job with the foils and I love the color - received lots of compliments and overall felt good about my hair (after a long time of kind of hating it). She also did a fabulous cut and she is a master with the blow drier. I wish she would blow dry my hair everyday. Did I mention that she is really fun and personable?

Really liked the salon - very clean, modern yet comfortable and kind of a quiet/zen vibe. Very professional and friendly staff. Easy parking - I have always been able to park right in front.

I went to Jennifer originally thinking this would be a one-time visit b/c I've been looking for a steady hair stylist since mine of 5 years moved. I was pleasantly surprised at her experience and understanding of what I was wanting. I gave her a few ""ideas"" and she ran with it! I recently had my hair styled by Giovanna Davis. She is a very delightful person and an EXCEPTIONAL hair stylist. Recently had my hair styled by Cathy Carr. I went to her based on a friend's recommendation; I was a little apprehensive, as I have difficult hair to style- it's straight, but ""has a mind of its own"". (The last cut I had looked like the person did it with one eye closed.) She studied me for a moment, and shaped my hair in a style flattering to the shape of my face and harmonious with my disobedient hair. For the first time, I actually got unsolicited comments from friends and coworkers, i.e ""Hey, nice cut!"" Cathy is definitely a professional whom I 'd recommend without hesitation.

I've been looking for the right place to get a haircut in Charlotte. Fortunately, I found the Jon Ric Hair Spa at Southpark. The stylist, Cathy Carr was excellent. Some people are artists and some people just cut hair. Thanks, guys.\r

If you want a great salon experience, this is the place you need to visit. I just had my second set of Great Lengths extensions put in, and I couldn't be happier. Denise is definitely the most talented stylist I have ever had. She takes pride in her work, and it shows when you walk out of this salon. All of my friends love my hair...If you are very picky about your hair....call Denise..She is the best!!!!!

I went to Jon Ric expecting a great haircut from a high end salon. I was highly disappointed. After waiting for way too long I finally got a cut I didn't ask for and left really annoyed. Would not recommend this salon to anyone.

I went to Jon Ric for the first time recently and had a terrible experience. I got to the salon on time and sat there for half an hour. No one came to offer an explanation or tell me how long the wait would be. I finally asked how much longer it would be and a stylist I had not booked with came out and asked what I wanted done to my hair. I told her my appointment was with Denise (who is the owner and senior stylist). Turns out they had booked me with someone else, and Denise was already double booked. They suggested I let the other girl cut my hair, but I really wanted to see a senior stylist, and I had already been waiting for over half an hour at that point. They asked me if I wanted to rebook with Denise and I told them no. Because while I was waiting all that time, a not so put together stylist came out to the front desk, chatting with the girls there and complaining about the client in her chair. When I realized this was the owner who I was supposed to see I was glad for the booking mistake. I am very picky about who I let cut my hair and I cant imagine the customer service would suddenly appear out of no where once I sat in her chair. They told me on the phone she charges $100 for a cut because she is a senior stylist, I said that was fine, I dont mind paying for excellent service. I was also planning to buy about $150 of Kerastase products they sale there.

Some of the other reviews said the salon was uppity or New York like. I was expecting a sleek, sophisticated, urban staff, maybe a little snooty. I didnt get that vibe at all, just unprofessional, inefficient, and uninterested. They lost my business and I wouldnt recommend the salon to anyone. I understand booking mistakes happen but from start to finish I was ignored, and no apology or explanation was ever given, much less an incentive to return.

By the way, it is hard to find Kerastase products but there are at least 4 salons in the area that carry them; Salon Cielo inside South Park, Euphoria Salon at Morrocroft Village across the street from South Park, Charles Grayson Spa on Morrison Blvd. and Paul Beaune NY Salon at Colony Place Shopping Center.

I heard about Jon Ric from a good friend of mine and I decided to try it. I received a few services that day but a little over price and nothing spectacular that other salons don't have other than there products being unique. I also got a little lost around South Park mall when I was trying to find it and the parking was confusing. Nice place, very clean and white and really not my type of place to go to. A little too hippity- hop (thats a word what my daughter uses these days).

I moved here from New York and had a very hard time finding a salon I liked. I heard about Jon' Ric shortly after they opened and found it to be amazing! There is a very talented, professional and friendly staff who made me feel so comfortable. I got a great hair cut and an incredible highlight. I feel like it was a total New York experience. I purchased a couple of the Kerastase products without any pressure and love them. I can't wait to go back for the SkinBella facial and a manicure/pedicure. They use Debra Lippman polish which is great!

I wasn't aware that this salon was in South Park, but my mom got me a gift certificate so I checked it out . It's a beautiful, modern salon. I was greeted with a hello, which is hard to find, especially at a salon in this area of Charlotte. I immediately felt comfortable, everyone was very friendly and offered me refreshments right off. I was happy to see that they carried the Kerastase product line, which is hard to find around here (everything is Aveda!). The scalp treatment and haircut I received was amazing, it was obvious that the stylist knew her stuff. While we were chatting, she told me about the other services they offer, although i didn't have time for a facial or manicure, i definitely plan on going back! I got an eyebrow waxing and it was great .. The estheticians were very friendly and professional. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for a skilled stylist (i get compliments on my haircut all the time!) and a great atmosphere .. book your appointment while you can, when the rest of Charlotte finds out about this place it will definitely be tough to get in!
