Never use the Acleara system for acne!!! Owner of shop is a huge liar and saleswoman. Beware do not trust what she says or her pricing!!! Will tell you one price and charge double/triple what she quotes. System leaves you bleeding all over your face. It is a needle that sticks into you face and a vacuum that sucks up the blood. She thinks you were born yesterday and tells you it only bleeds because of so much infection!! Hurts!! Hurts! Hurts! She'll tell you its a relaxing spa for your face that will cure acne. Beware is all I can say!

I had 2facials at Alora. The 1st was the best facial I ever had, the 2nd one was the worst. Sheets were dirty, esthetician had lights turned off&until after the Hydrafacial was over, didnt ask any questions about my skin concerns. After I told her about my dark spots being my concern I told her where they were since they lights were still out&she did not even hit these spots with the machine, she missed half of my face with the machine, was texting during the facial, facial only lasted 30 min, when we were done she said it was so short because I didn't need too many extractions but was left with blackheads still on my face. I told her I was disappointed& it was completely different from the 1st facial I had there. She shrugged. I paid&walked out and called the other location to speak to a manager who said "I understand, I will speak to a manager&we will either get you a refund or get you another facial with the girl you had the first time". I called back 2days later after broken capillaries showed up on my nose&spoke to another manager who said there was nothing she could do but apologize. I spoke to the owner today for the 1st time who again said nothing we could do, told me I was threatening her&hung up on me. NASTY LADY

My sister & I planned a spa day here over 2 months ago, i am 7.5 months pregnant. we had gift certificates & groupons along with full price service items. I have been to this facility numerous times for various services & have always been very happy.
We arrived early & waited then we were separated where I went in for a scrub which was the only semi enjoyable part of my experience. My sister was sent downstairs for her manicure & pedicure, obviously we would have like to have our mani & pedi together so we could spend time together. That was the point of the day, we were told there was only one massage therapist (which was completely false, we came to realize a bit later).

My scrub was some was enjoyable if the technician would have stopped talking & slamming in & out of cabinets thought the duration. My "prenatal massage" was absolutely horrible, the masseuse was definitely not trained in prenatal, I was very uncomfortable & the "massage" was more of a skin caress then a massage again the service provider talked throughout most of my service.
I came out to my sister already done & sitting on the couch (not happy), her 55 minute hydro manicure & pedicure was a mere 35 minutes & the tech was 15 minutes late starting her service.

At this point my sister informed me that she was advised that they would not honor our gift certificates for our salt scrubs (mine having already been completed) because the gift certain had expired which I notified the receptionist of when I booked the appointments 2 months prior she said it wasn't a problem that they always honor gift certificates as well as living social & groupon prices.

At this point they called the owner Patty to speak with me as we waited I convinced my sister to have her scrub done because that was what she was so looking forward to. The owner came to the waiting area, she was by far one of the most unprofessional, arrogant, rude business people I had ever met. She did not care that we were misinformed nor did she offer to do anything to correct the situation.
Her demeanor was downright disgusting, her tone was condescending. She attempted to tell me we owed an additional $132 after arguing back & forth & presenting all of gift certificates & groupons as well as a future service I already booked & paid for our balance was zero. We left without my sister having her massage & myself with no manicure or pedicure.

The service was horrendous with the exception of the very sweet receptionist & my sisters service tech for her scrub otherwise the entire experience was horrible. The atmosphere has a goal but you cannot relax because the outside noise in the hallway while trying to enjoy a quiet relaxing service is nearly impossible with people stomping up & down the hallway, in & out of the bathroom and various people carrying on loud conversations in the hallway.

Patty, the owner absolutely disgusting. You should be ashamed of your self for treating customers the way you do.

We will never step foot back in that facility ever again.

I purchased a set of 6 laser hair removal treatments for Brazilian area ($179) after speaking to their staff about the area that will be covered in the Brazilian treatment.The first 3 times I was treated by 3 different technicians for the Brazilian. The fourth treatment was scheduled with the owner of the spa, who declined to provide me the treatment for Brazilian saying that the amount I paid was for Bikini Line and I have been getting the Full Brazilian.The owner was very rude and had the discussion with me while my pants were off waiting to get the treatment. How much ever I tried to explain to her that this is what her staff told me and that is what I have been getting the past 3 times, she would not listen. To get the remaining 3 treatments she demanded that I pay the additional amount for Full Brazilian ($299). I told her that I bought the Brazilian treatment only because it is at a price that I am willing to pay and do not want to pay additionally and she should honor the receipt and what I was made to believe. All 3 technicians who provided me the treatment and the person who explained to me what the Brazilian would cover before I purchased their service could not be wrong. Since I was taking their laser service for other areas, I will have to go there until I finish them. Would never go there again and would not recommend to anyone.

I have spent a pretty penny at this spa and was quite the fan up until last night. I purchased a laser hair treament via Groupon and started going there fall of last year with no incident or problems. Last night I saw with my own eyes why there are bad reviews about this place. After finishing my first laser hair treament I purchased another treament for a full brazilian. Last night was my second treament and arrived at my appt time. She was backed up quite a bit which is understandable...things happen. But then two women who were both late for their appointments were taken in before me. I'm sorry but if they were late they should be the ones waiting not me. I waited close to 35 minutes to after my appointment schedule because of this. When I get taken in to the back she started ranting to me about her customers and complaining about them. I found this a bit out of line and unprofessional. But that wasn't the icing to the cake. When she finished the front part of my brazilian she was like okay I'm done. I said to her I purchased a FULL brazilian package and my back side is to get done....she sat there to argue with me (while i'm laying there naked) about how a full brazilian does not cover the back area. I then tell her how for my first treament they did do the back area and she went to tell me that it must have not been at her spa. Again I tell her it was there with one of her employees and continues to argue with me (while I'm naked) that I have to pay another $300 to do the rear area. It was all so annoying and confusing and frustrating....if anyone who has ever done a brazilian wax you know it includes everything! I felt like she was trying to get more money out of me...she was very rude and condesending...I even told her to check her chart for what I paid for and she continued to tell me I had it all wrong....this really pissed me off because I specifically remember when I started those treaments to ask both her, her front desk staff and the first girl who did my first treament what a full brazilian laser included...and each of them agreed...now 4 weeks later AFTER I PAID....she tells me the service does not include what I thought. You have to expect the worst when coming here...she definately has mood swings. I've seen her have all out arguements with her employees in front of customers and be rude to her customers as well...now I finally got to experience it first hand. ALORA AMBIANCE SPA has a grade F by the Better Business Bureau (BBB)!!!!!! This should tell you all what an unprofessional place this is.This spa violates so many laws, I'm so surprised it is even running! First of all, the owner Patricia Rivas is the rudest person any client will come across!! Second, this spa is completely ILLEGAL.Notice all the low prices??? She performs Laser treatments, Botox/Juvederm and Carboxy just to name a few. The NJ State Law requires these procedures to be done under the supervision of a Licensed Doctor or by the Physician himself. There has never been a Doctor present for any of the procedures!! Clients get burned all the time by this so called Laser Technician. She has lawsuits all the time because of her lack of professionalism. Please DO NOT be fooled by the excessive advertising they do for this spa. They are affiliated with groupon, if only they knew who they are dealing with. I asked the receptionist (who was very rude to me) not too long ago about the products they sell and HALF of the products WERE NOT APPROVED BY THE FDA! I was entirely shocked when I found that out. This place is completely harmful to anyone. I have nothing against the owner but for some reason it felt like she had a vendetta against me by the way she would speak to me in such an abrasive matter. ALORA AMBIANCE SPA has a grade F by the Better Business Bureau (BBB)!!!!!! This should tell you all what an unprofessional place this is.This spa violates so many laws, I'm so surprised it is even running! First of all, the owner Patricia Rivas is the rudest person any client will come across!! Second, this spa is completely ILLEGAL.Notice all the low prices??? She performs Laser treatments, Botox/Juvederm and Carboxy just to name a few. The NJ State Law requires these procedures to be done under the supervision of a Licensed Doctor or by the Physician himself. There has never been a Doctor present for any of the procedures!! Clients get burned all the time by this so called Laser Technician. She has lawsuits all the time because of her lack of professionalism. Please DO NOT be fooled by the excessive advertising they do for this spa. They are affiliated with groupon, if only they knew who they are dealing with. I asked the receptionist (who was very rude to me) not too long ago about the products they sell and HALF of the products WERE NOT APPROVED BY THE FDA! I was entirely shocked when I found that out. This place is completely harmful to anyone. I have nothing against the owner but for some reason it felt like she had a vendetta against me by the way she would speak to me in such an abrasive matter. I've recently finished my 6 treatments with the laser hair removal. I couldn't be anymore happy with the results. I saw results within the first couple treatments. The staff is amazing! They are so helpful and polite. I also feel that the pricing is very fair and I love the fact that Patty, the owner is willing to work with you. All around I couldnt be more satisfied! Great staff Great services!

They made me wait for 30 minutes after my appointment and by then I had to leave and he threatened to charge for a ""cancellation."" I was so mad and left thinking there is no way he would charge me but later check my credit card to see that he had charged me twice!! Over $200 worth of ""cancellation."" My cc company credited it back to my account but I still think that's theft!

After a hot cup of coffee and a snack...I decided to try the chocolate wrap treatment...The staff applied the warm smooth mixture with professional T.L.C...With the aroma of cocoa in the air and the soft music in the background the experience was quite soothing...The service was finished with a wonderful application of butter cream...Not only was my skin feeling and smelling great the treatment left a nice bronze tone to my body...Cudos to Patricia and the staff at the Alora Spa...\n\n

After I had paid for my wife's services in advance, she was charged again upon completion an additional $17.50 ($2.50 of which is a fee for using a debit/credit card and not paying cash)...The other $15 was a tip that was already charged to my credit card. I called to rectify the situation only for Patricia to get nasty with me and tell me that i did not tip enough the first time ($17.50). In total we paid $35 over the initial cost. \n\nI would not recommend this spa to any (if you have to deal with Patricia)

Let me say that the service we received was superb. Not only did we receive wonderful service, we received it with a smile. Your staff was professional and extremely friendly. The receptionist, while doing her job, chatted with us as we waited for our treatments. The masseuse removed every knot in our body, the person that did the facial was detailed, the individual that did our body polish scrubbed and did a great job exfoliating, and the pedicurist had us leaving there wanting to show off our pedicures. Unfortunately, I do not remember everyone's name. Also, the ambiance is relaxing and serene. I have been to a spa before and that was not the case. However, while at your establishment, I felt like we were the only people in Boonton, left there to relax. We drove two hours from New York to get to Alora Spa and I must say that it was well worth it, thanks to you staff!

I thought the service was above average. I thought the prices were a little expensive. The space is small but very cute. The workers were professionally dressed and acted in the same manner.

When you walk through the doors you immediately feel relaxed. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the services I received were wonderful! The massage was one of the best I ever had & the man/ped was great and my polish lasted, not like some others I had in the past. The facial made my skin feel great and I felt like I looked 5 years younger. The staff is very professional while still being warm and friendly. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone who is looking for a spa experience and doesn't want to feel like they got lost in the shuffle in a big institution like facility.
