VCA Hawthorn Animal Hospital

The VCA Hawthorn animal hospital is terrible. I would definitely recommend you bring your pet anywhere, but here. I had such a terrible experience at this vet. I have been in business for 20 years and always believe the customer should be treated well. The staff her are incompetent, rude, and do not care about the pets or their patients.
#1) The vet forgot to do the stool sample and explained that I would need to bring in another sample. I asked them to work with me for inconvenience. They did not seem to care that they made the mistake and would not accept any responsibility. I did not even ask for a full refund, but just something to meet me halfway.
#2) When I went to pay, the computers did not work. I gave them my credit card and asked them to call me with the total. They just billed me and did not bother calling to go over the bill with me.
#3) I called to make an appointment and got 2 appointment reminders. They could not keep their appointments straight. An honest mistake ok, but the list goes on.
#4) They called to confirm my appointment for my cat that died 7 years ago! Anyone that has pets does not want to be reminded of such a difficult time.
#5) The vet made fun of my cat for batting at her. If you are 2 years old and getting shots, you wouldn't be so happy either. She was scared, and the vet decided that it was a bad day for her since the cat didn't like her.
#6) The vet joked about my cat that died that he would have been 24 now, and they were surprised. I responded that it took 5 years to get another cat and that I was devastated.
Do yourself a favor and do not bother coming here.

Seriously... it's not because I am sad about losing my cat. This clinic dropped the ball. They provided terrible treatment to my cat which ultimately led to his need to be put down. AVOID THIS CLINIC!

Pros: It was close?

Cons: missed obvious signs of issues, which led to cat needing to be put down.
