I went to jr. high and high school in Miles City and was recently back for a reunion. The one place where my friends and I had to meet up was the Airport Inn. For a small town restaurant, they have a good taco pizza-- and the steak fingers and fries are something you have to try! Kids under a certain age get a small ice cream cone free, if you remember to ask.

The location, on a hill overlooking the town, is also cool. Be prepared to have friendly cats greet you-- and maybe even try to hop in your car.

Finally, the Airport Inn does NOT take credit cards-- so make sure you have cash on you if you decide to dine there.

My husband and 3 small children frequently eat dinner at this restaurant. We like the family-friendly atmosphere as well as their food, and especially the view overlooking the town when we get a table near the windows,

The restaurant has plenty of booster seats and high chairs. The kids are given their beverages in cups with lids if requested (these are not for take-home though). At the end of the meal, kids can go up to the counter and get a free vanilla ice cream cone.

On their menu, we enjoy their pizza or the family platter of finger steaks, breaded shrimp, chicken strips, french fries, and onion rings. Other favorites are their fried breaded vegetable platter and their homemade french fries. If you are buying soda/pop or beer on tap, a half pitcher or full pitcher are good ideas for value. For lunch, I enjoy their soup and salad bars or sandwich specials.

While waiting for our food, our kids go to the game room. There are usually about 4-6 electronic games of various kinds usually including pinball, driving, shooting, and bowling (great for little ones). The pool table is also a favorite. Sometimes several of the games are out of order. My 4-year old is usually happy just to press the controls without quarters or watch others play.

We have hosted birthday parties, family get-togethers, team parties, and club meetings over the years in their meeting room. It fits at least 25 people with comfort and would fit more depending on how you set it up. I believe there is a room use fee of $25 if you don't purchase at least $40 from their menu which has never been a problem for us even if we bring in some of our own treats or cake. The birthday special comes with a roll of quarters for the kids which is nice.

This restaurant has a wine and beer liquor license and (far from the game room) there is a small video gambling casino area by the entrance. Neither of these detracts from the family feel of the restaurant. There is no smoking in the entire building.

NOTE: This restaurant does not take credit or debit cards, so be sure to bring cash or local checks.
