I have 8 years univ science/math, MS Mont State Univ, mcl (3.84 gpa), 3 yrs graduate research & statistical design. The employees at this co make $5-$7/hr doing tele surveys, managers not much more. I took a short stint to pay bills there approx Oct 2004, walked out the 2nd time they pulled a stunt claiming I had "falsified" something related to an interview, even had a tape to prove what was obviously not true the 2nd time. Something else was going on, however, that was the real problem, and I in no way am I disgruntled or making a "false" allegation. About 5 mo's prior, a man came up to me at a fishing hole claiming to have worked for a Missoula company as a manager where he had smoked crack daily with the workers. Didn't believe a word of it, but somehow I was invited to work at RDD, and shortly after there was this ruckus made over something that I supposedly had done, an allegation which was thoroughly absurd despite the emotional pressure put into it (and directly following more "use our drugs" talk). Prior to each of these incidents, there were several suggestions by one of these young punk "managers" (on one occasion by an employee on break) that people there were smoking crack/crank/pot or holding such items. Obviously, somebody was pulling a stinker of some kind, so I waited patiently, sure enough, same thing happened, so I left. If this isn't intimidating enough to leave the country for you, it sure is for a lot of us. I couldn't say too much more without being overly speculative, but something very, very odd was going on there. Now, the job I quit just prior is not irrelevant, as I was similarly browbeaten by administrators for five years as I worked at the Big Sky High school until my son could safely graduate. The admin harangue wasn't drugs, though, it was constant, obnoxious pedophilic banter, constant bragging about dicks, licks, well you fill in the blanks, porn vids for kids, interspersed by absurd claims about teachers watching pornography on the job. The fact is, however, and I would know because for 5 years I maintained all 400 Big Sky computers daily, that the teachers accused were doing nothing of the kind, but after hours someone was in fact using their computers to do just that. There had been a lot of this activity, and it was all proximate to a 30 foot area of the building. The same things had been occurring long before I arrived in 1999, which is why I know that when the daughter of a decades old family friend claimed that her daughter had been raped in the same small area, that she was telling the truth, she had definitely been raped. Further confirmation came from a neighbor whose daughter was heavily pressured relentless from a man who was assigned to work in that same small area whose daddy it seems was/is employed in admin. Both school administrators and law enforcement successfully ignored these people, as they did me when making complaints about this management style and the reports of rape or sexual pressure, both at Missoula schools and RDD w/ respect to drugs. I haven't made any of this up, nor have I imagined any of it, nor am I striking back. These things occurred exactly as I have related them. Separately, I would have a few complaints about the surveys themselves as apparently jointly designed by WAMU Bank (the major sponsor of RDD's work), various pharmaceutical companies and the fed government. RDD is located next to the DOJ building in Missoula. These surveys do not qualify as real research or design, they are only public opinion surveys on behalf of an overly formal name, most of them with honest intent but a few not. These workers are mostly young people (college / high school) who are employed to do the surveys, several dozen or possibly a few hundred throughout the year, with half a dozen or fewer "managers." Was I singled out for some kind of reverse sting, or are these employees routinely being exploited by that purpose or victimized by a real drug distribution racket? I'll let you be the judge of that after you work there for a while, but these are the facts about what I experienced at RDD.
