i am amazed at the quality of the food , especially considering the price ......real simple decor , yet , impeccable frenchtoast...and the biscuits and gravy [ all-you-can-eat=3.50-sundays] is awesome..i asked the owner , he says he puts a bit of coffee in them to get the roast flavor ...most items 5-6 bucks , with one or two going above ten dollars ...i am also amazed at the music in this place ...recently , jamaican reggae , and bluegrass...all free...my hats off to tom porter

The Alcan Bar and Cafe in Frenchtown is an OK place. The food is not outstanding. The service is OK. It is an interesting place to go and people watch. The also have a live band on some weekends.
