The bed was ok, the room was ok, the community bathroom would have been ok if someone monitored it. Someone had gotten sick in the only one I could find and not even before checkout had the sick been cleaned up. But before turning off the lights for the night, the roaches had started checking us out and popping back under the wood paneling. I sucked it up and paid Hawaii money for the rest of the time there. The food in the restaurant was quite lacking too. Breakfast was much cheaper than lunch/dinner.

This place was featured in the December 2008 issue of Hawaii Magazine. As having the most famous pork chops in Hawaii, and claim it??s the 80 plus year old pans. My wife had the pork chops; they were dry and over cooked not much flavor. My wife can cook better chops in her sleep. I had the Ahi sauted in garlic and butter, which was good. The only side dishes were and you had no choice in the matter were steamed rice, squash w/pork; which had very little to no pork in it, cold bean sprouts, and potato salad. Portions were small. $9.25 for the chops and $10.50 for the Ahi, $2.00 for Iced tea w/refills. I had water, as there are no refills on soft drinks. Service was good; atmosphere was good. Restrooms are very outdated.

We traveled over 100 miles to try this place based on the review in Hawaii Magazine; this was a complete waste of time and money. We will never return to the Manago Hotel, and would not recommend it to anyone.
