First, I do not know of Christiansen Michael R, my comments are of Peerless Insurance Company specifically. My vehiche was hit from behind by a Peerless Insurance customer 2 months ago. Total damage $550. The adjuster looked at it right away, but since it's been like pulling teeth to get them to fix the rear bumper of my truck. The problem was lack of cooperation from the insured. I was calling every week. Now that I have to pull a trailer, which I warned them about from the beginning, they will have to rent me a truck and pay for the 150 miles I will put on it. Today they finally ordered the police report with that request in. I guess the trick it to find ways of making it more expensive on them to not be diligent. I wish I thought of it before I needed the trailer.

My car was recently totaled and had no choice but to drive a rental (rental not covered on my policy). It took them forever to tell me my car was officially totaled so that I could seriously shop for a new vehicle.

Then it took another few weeks for them to mail me my claim money, which is still waiting to be cleared by the bank.

A solid month has gone by since I have been without a car and I'm still waiting for their check to clear. This is UNACCEPTABLE.

It's funny... They were very quick about towing my vehicle to their lot, so that they didn't have to pay storage fees.

I have a feeling if they were paying my rental car fee, this whole process would have been over with a lot sooner, and I would have a new vehicle by now. But no, I'm paying for it out of pocket, so they don't really care how long it takes.

The one good thing is that they payed me an acceptable amount for my totaled car.

I am seriously considering switching insurance companies after this experience.

Cheaper rates, awful customer service. Those two entities typically travel together, Peerless insurance is no exception. Tough to deal with automated teller, tougher to deal with customer service representatives with difficult dispositions. On my sole claim (auto - windshield) I was told I would receive free wipers. I am still waiting for those wiper blades...Typical insurance company concerned with meeting their numbers and not their clients needs.

The Peerless Insurance Company has been my home owners insurance carrier for a number of years. I am very satisfied with this company and its rates. They customer service center will always call you back with any concerns.
