Have been a patron of Colby's for years. Love the food (save room for a slab of cinnamon-swirl French toast), the coffee is excellent, and the staff is wonderful. It's a tiny place, so you may have to wait a bit to get in during "peak"

Colby's is a little hole in the wall type place and it's not much bigger but we always look forward to getting there any chance we can.
It can be a little bit of a wait for a table as they are a small place and you can tell in the quality of the food, it's just wonderful.
Be sure to check out the huge chalkboard on the wall with all of the specials, they are not always there long but are well worth checking out.
The staff is great as well and we always have a great time whenever we go.

Pros: Cozy hole in the wall with wonderful food and service

Cons: Can be a little bit of a wait

My wife and I attempted to eat here on Sunday, June 20th and granted it was Father's Day but this place was extremely unorganized. First, we were told the wait for 2 would be 20 minutes and after a half hour found out that there were still 3 groups of 2 ahead of us. Part of the problem was that when tables do become available they sit there for 10-15 minutes and do not get cleaned off. Also when you ask for your check you wait another 10-15 minutes as we witnessed from a group that sat outside, that had asked for their check and, after not receiving a check within ten minutes, had to ask for it again.
We cannot comment on the food as we walked out realizing that even if we got to sit down any time soon, God only knows how long we would have had to wait for our food and a check.

GREAT place to have breakfast, on a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy free coffee, the eggs irish is the best, they have great homeade hash and right in the middle of downtown.

The Friendly Toast is always my first choice for breakfast UNLESS I plan to order pancakes.
This is the place to go if you want pancakes! (If french toast is your fancy stick with Friendly Toast)

Pros: Great Pancakes

Cons: Average Homefries

I frequent this establishment often. Most every Saturday and/or Sunday when I'm in town. They have great Bloody Marys as well. The ingredients are fresh and the proportions are just right. They have great specials to chose from. You never wait long for your food even when they are packed. The staff is also very friendly. The atmosphere is small but comforting and because it's so small..it's actually warm enough to eat breakfast with out your coat on in the winter (unlike most places lately).

Pros: fast service, good ambience, food orders are usually correct and taste great

Cons: not a good place to bring children, parking can be an issue, the wait to be seated is usually long, not good for parties larger than 4 people
