So I ask you, "Would you put up with that?"

I was a customer to the new Eggies Diner in Atkisnon, N.H. I had really looked forward to trying their breakfast. I went on a Monday that was cool and drizzling rain ... the perfect day for a 'hot, comfy 'breakfast. When I got inside, a waitress told me to pick a table. I checked both dining areas and there were very few seats ... at the end of a small bar up against the wall, a table for 2 in the middle and a table for 4 which a man and child were leaving. I took that table when they left. The owner Kevin, came to me and told me in his unfriendly manner that he would appreciate it if I moved. I said well that lady is single and at a table for 4. He said he wanted to ask her to move too, but that I could sit there THIS time. So, I noticed a couple leaving a table for 2 and told my waitress I'd take that table. She moved me. It was right at a window which they had slid wide open, so I closed it. It was COOL and RAINING! I no sooner closed the window over, when a waitress came over and open the window up again. I said, "oh , I just closed it, it's coming right in on me." "Well these ladies need it open. They said they're hot." Now, I am asked if I will switch tables, again, with these two ladies! So, I did. Now I am at yet, another table, my 3rd table, with the window wide open and the cold air coming face on. Although my waitress was thoughtful about the situation, I couldn't help but notice how little concern the other waitress who re-opened the window and was waiting on these ladies had. She made me feel like I was bothering her, when SHE should have found another table for HER party! I never should have been asked to move at all, never mind twice. The owner, Kevin, came through the dining area several times and he did notice I had moved, and then moved again. Not a single word of apology or concern came from him. I paid my bill and took my breakfast home. Next time I want breakfast I'll go to Early Bird Cafe or Sammy J's or Priscilla's in Salem. By the way, the original table I sat in was immediately take by a party of ... 2 ! Oy vey!
