Cons: Don't understand concept of ethical business

We spent 10 years as a customer of this place. Through lost shirts, pants and suits, continued to be a loyal customer. Finally, after losing yet another expensive dress shirt, they decide to stop taking our business. Seriously here, WTF? They have a pretty simple job: take clothes, clean them and return said clothes. Is that really so hard??? Is it our fault that they lose our clothing???

Here's our advice for anyone thinking about using Belleclaire: think twice. Then, think again. Then, think one last time as you walk away comfortable in the fact that you haven't played Russian Roulette with your clothes.

I recently took a dress in to get altered - the shoulder straps needed to be shortened, and the lady at the counter assured me that the worker who'd be taking care of it (he was there at the time, bent over a work table) was a "professional." Before I even left the shop, she handed it to him casually and he literally flopped it down on his work table in a heap. It was the nicest dress I've ever had, and I took great care to hang it and bag it for safekeeping, and he actually flung it on a table so the satin could get wrinkled. Despite my concern, I left and trusted that he would indeed by "professional."

Well, I got the dress back the next day, and while the straps were indeed what I wanted, the body of the dress had several snags and actual black smudges. I tried it one once, in the store, and I know for a fact that the dress had no snags or marks on it when I dropped it off....they just obviously don't take care of the clothes in their store, to the point of damaging them! I didn't notice the marks until I got home, and I was too afraid that they would do further damage to bring it back. Suffice it to say I do NOT recommend this store! Certainly not for valuable items.
