Superior Care Auto Center

I've been bringing my cars to these guys for over 20 years. They ALWAYS patiently describe my car's problems in language I can understand. I enjoy visiting them and am happy to give them my money.

All of these positive reviews are TRUE! I had just moved to the area and had no idea where to turn. At first, I called to ask if they had something in stock, since I wanted to do a "quick fix" myself. He said he didn't, and then sent me to a competitor! He could have easily told me to bring my car in and charged me a bunch.

After the quick fix didn't work, I never forgot his honesty, so I called him back and they were able to see me right away. I was blown away by his kind approach and the fact that he treated me like a human being. It's like we were old friends.

Not only are these the best mechanics in NY, but they're the best mechanics I have ever been to IN MY LIFE! And I've lived all over the country. They literally took me back to the shop and showed me what was wrong. They only fixed the major problem and didn't try to upcharge me on other unnecessary fixes. I will continue to sing their praises and will never take my car anywhere else.

It is about trust, right? And I trust them. Not only are they honest, fair, and good people, but they know what they are doing. I can not get over how friendly and willing to talk to us frankly about options and what is needed to make our old volvo safe and sound. Look no further. Don and Frank should be the guys on Car Talk on NPR!

Superior was recommended by a friend who's friend's family has been going there for years. I have been to plenty of shops and this one is far and away the best. They are friendly, honest and very experienced. On two occasions they fixed problems that another shop couldn't. These days I won't take my car anywhere else.

My son was recently stranded in NYC with a faulty alternator. After being towed to another repair shop, I found Superior Care Auto on the web and based on the reviews, had the car towed there. They were able to get him back on the road quickly, at a fair price and with friendly service. Go figure - in New York City. RFC in Syracuse

Franky at Superior Care is awesome. Not only have they handled problems with our ancient Volvo, they've gone out of their way to help us on more than one occasion. Once, our car died while sandwiched into a tight spot on a Brooklyn street. AAA wouldn't tow us, but Superior Care came out there, gave us a jump, taught me how to drive with two feet and followed me all the way to the shop. Found the problem and fixed it for less than $100. They're friendly, honest and quick. I've never had a problem dropping off the car whenever I need to.

My experiences here have been mostly positive. The owners are personable and honest. They've worked on my old beat up cars for several years and haven't complained. If you're fortunate enough to catch them with a few extra minutes they seem more than happy to discuss the problems with your car. They are busy though and you'll need to make an appointment at least a week in advance. They also seem to be in a perpetual good mood.

When I first moved to Park Slope, Brooklyn in 1993 I was asking around for recommendations for a good auto mechanic. No matter who I asked Superior Care came up. Everyone had great things to say about these guys and I have to say i have had nothing but superior care from Superior Care.

I am on my 4th car with them and they have handled every situation perfectly. They have never been too expensive and they have never recommended unnecessary work. In fact, after my mother passed and we were trying to figure out if I should repair her car or get a new one or use one, they helped me make the decision to get a new care without charging me a dime on the prognosis on my mom's car. They could have probably convinced me to do a lot of work on it and made some money, but they didn't.

These guys are pearls among stones!

Superior Care Auto Center is operated by three men with many combined years in the auto repair business. They perform all types of auto repair, and one partner is a specialist in all types of electrical repairs, including tracing shorts, and is one of the best in this specialized field in the Brooklyn area. He can help with an electrical problem that many have given up on, and he will solve the problem!

They do general auto mechanical work and repairs and are very good at their trade. They are very honest people, you will not be cheated, and will not be charged either for repairs not done, or have services performed that are not needed. They diagnose the problem and they fix it, it is as simple as that. They are a busy shop but endeavor to get your car back to you as soon as possible, and will not overcharge you, their prices are very fair. They are all professional mechanics and you may feel confident that your car is in the right hands.

PROS: Expert at diagnosing electrical problems
CONS: Can be hard to find parking if you have to park around there.
