.

My surgery was scheduled for a Friday. I booked it three weeks in advance. Two days before, I got a call from the office saying that my surgeon (Dr. Deysine) was taking a long weekend and that I would have to reschedule. Dr. Deysine was booked up and then going on vacation, however, so the soonest the surgery could be rescheduled was... a month later. This was surgery to remove a lump that hadn't been biopsied: in other words, the surgeon was making me wait for an additional MONTH to find out if I had cancer or not, because he wanted to take a Friday off.

I'm switching to a doctor who won't risk my life for the sake of a long weekend.
