Highly overrated

by Laura L. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,009

The place is beautiful on the outside, which lured me inside. My guest and I sat across from each other, and I don't think I heard more than two words because the place is so loud. The waitstaff are awful. Our waiter ignored us so much we had to ask other waiters to get him more than 3 times. Except when it came to the bill, he put that on our table before we finished eating, practically. We wanted to order dessert, but too late. The sushi was okay, but honestly nothing to rave about. I personally found it overpriced for the quality and small quantity. I do like the decor, but that's just not enough for me. I won't go back.

Great Foof & Service

by katues

They have the best spicy tuna. I'm not a dessert eater but they have great dessert. I go here often and if there's ever a problem or a long wait they'll comp w/ drinks or surprise you with a free dessert. Even though they're usually packed they never rush you out.

Pros: good prices, food, service

Cons: can get busy, best to make reservations

Disappointing

by cbnga

I found the service and food disappointing. We did not have sushi, so maybe that's better. My biggest problem was the gooey undercooked tempura. We had to send it back. Waiter brought another later and it was still undercooked. Entrees were nothing special. Service was fast but could have been better had the waiter paid attention to what we were ordering.

Awful Service. Awful Food.

by SRNYC0726

The food here could be overlooked if it were not for the awful service staff. They are slow and rude and actually asked me to tip them more than the 18 percent that we had. The 18 percent was a reflection of their slow service but I was appalled when the waiter came back and asked for more tip.

The fish doesn't taste fresh and the other dishes lack flavor. Don't waste your time. Go up the street to Sushi Seiki on 62nd.

Handsome bartender makes great cocktails

by jhagwire

Ben, the bartender and video spokesperson, adds to the appeal. He is handsome and personable (and he makes great cocktails!). Go during happy hour.

Foods okay, bar leaves more to be desired

by dgraham10016

Recently dined at Fusha restaurant with clients and was not impressed. After I visited the restaurant I viewed the online video endorsement narrated by Ben who was actually our bartender that evening and should be more attentive to his guests. Two thumbs down.

Good Asian in a Welcome Setting

by qtgurljny

A lot of trendy asian places aren't really good for asian food but Fusha is one of the many options which now combine both. It's asthetically pretty, inviting, the waitstaff is great and the food is authentic and well-priced. A definite must try if you're in the neighborhood. A fav of mine is the XO beef sizzling platter.

Friendly retreat

by abs378

It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you're in, you see it's out of the ordinary. The bambo trees create a outdoor atmosphere while the friendly waitstaff will thoroughly answer all your questions. The sushi is great but the best part is the leechee martini, the best I've ever had!

Pros: Leechee Martini, service

Cons: Prices are a little steep

Exotic Little Get-Away

by foodtalker

I ate here last night, and perhaps my review will be tainted by the amazing breeze that was wafting through the place (it's an open space) after the long stifling hot summer we just had. But I really enjoyed Fusha. They have this lovely room-divider of tall branches...creates a really cool atmosphere.. The service was good, very attentive waiter. We shared the rock shrimp tempura and the duck springroll, both of them must-haves. We also had a duck chow fun (average) and a very good chilean sea bass dish with vegetables. Yes, they have brown rice! And they have Lichido martinis (expensive at $12 per cocktail but well worth it). Altogether, a very tasty and exotic Manhattan get-away.

Pros: Good service, Good Food, Good Drinks

Good Food, Great Drinks

by amordasia

I went to Fusha with a bunch of friends recently, and the place was divine. The food was perfect (try the hot red snapper!!), and not too costly, and the drinks were awesome...we had the Lichido cocktails, which I highly recommend!!! Magical.

Not what is used to be!!!

by manuelgarcia

I was a real fan of this place when they opened. It's been truly disheartening to experienced a steep decline in quality and price increases of 20% over the last year alone! I even had to return a couple of dishes twice on their delivery. There is better options in the area than this eclectic Pan-Asian proposal.

Worth going!

by nicole_r_seale

My husband and I went for my birthday and had a great time. Everyone was friendly and the food was very good and beautifully presented. Definetly worth the cost, which is reasonable to begin with. The waiters sang happy birthday and brought me some complimentary fried green tea ice cream, which was delicious. The hostess, Michelle, reserved a comfortable table for us and was really great about us changing the reservation to an hour later. Absolutely worth going!

First time was a good time

by aznvubr

I gambled on the reviews and the location and after being there and experiencing the food and ambiance it was a gamble worth taking. As soon as we walked in we were promptly seated. The hostesses were very pleasant as was our waiter. The decor was very cool and asian, by the front door a section of the wall is tiled with Majong game tiles! Because we were both very hungry we went straight for the sushi for two and it was well justified and priced right.

And as a side note, the restrooms were cool with the pushbutton toilet and the glass bowl sink.

Pros: Prompt seating, Pleasant service, Good food

Great mix of Thai and Sushi

by earonoff

I used to live around the corner from this place and ate there again recently. And although I've noticed that the prices have gone up a little since they opened, it's still a great menu. The Indian Dipping Pancake and the Seafood Hot Pot are great if you like coconut curry flavors. The Wasabi roll and the Crunchy Spicy Tuna/Salmon rolls are fresh and just the right amount of spicy. The specials are always interesting and presented very well. Great place if you can't decide on Thai or Japanese.

Pros: Great Menu, Friendly staff

Cons: Gets busy

Very satisfied!!

by kozlowski

I recently been invited to my friend, Bellinda's birthday party at Fusha. It was so good. The foods were authentic, served in a perfect temperature depends on what kind you ordered. Bellinda and all of us had great foods and great times.

They have very very nice house hot-served specialties, sushi bar specials and even full-bar services. It was just a great place for any occasions or parties. The manager, Michelle and her waitstaff were so helpful and very nice, too.

We will soon be back there for our luch, dinner and another party....and definitely will tell people and bring more friends!.

Pros: great foods, great service, great bar

New Foods

by monaleman

The other thing I love about Fusha is that they always upgrade their variety of foods. So not like others that claimed their foods are the greatest but they serve same food for months and months. However, here is Fusha you will feel the real Asian dinning...

It's true that the place a little too tight, but you could always coem between 5:30pm to 7:30pm and you'll have all the space that you always wanted....

Pros: Good Waitstaff, Very Good sushi/sashi
