Faux Glow

I don't want to have wrinkles when i get older so I'm staying out of the sun now. I heard about Faux Glow through a friend and I'm so glad she suggested them to me.

Not only was it a great place, but everyone was so nice and Rene did a great job on my color. Everyone asked where I just got back from vacation...so I fooled them;)

Also it took away the stress of having to worry about getting a suntan while I was away - I just sat under an umbrella and relaxed with a drink and a book!

This is my new oasis - can't wait for my next visit.

overall i was extremely disappointed. i had high hopes based on the many complimentary reviews but in truth, i was completely unsatisfied and felt like i pretty much just threw my money down the drain.

From the minute I stepped inside I knew this was going to be a great place. Everyone was so friendly and Liz went out of her way to make me feel extra special. She gave me the perfect color and it lasted for 9 days (that was an extra perk). I love all the retail products you can buy here - they have some really great handbags and dresses & many other things. The best thing is they were having this great sale. Can't wait to come back for my next visit.

I go to the same woman each time margie. The products they use work great for my skin and this lady is very knowlegeable and skilled. I actually started getting facials there when my co-worker went there and her skin looked so good I went there and it was great for me as well. And the price is right!!!

This is the best airbrush tan I've ever gotten. Liz is a pro, she really does a great job. I'm so glad I tried Faux Glow. They also have a great staff, it was raining outside and they had someone go down and hail me a cab - now that's customer service! They even had umbrellas for sale. The next day when I showered, it turned out to be the perfect shade. Thanks Liz for giving me a beautiful glow!

I wanted to try this place for the longest time and finally I did, thank goodness! They were so nice there and I got the best color. People stop and complimented me all the time and asked if I went away (which of course I couldn't lie and told them about my new secret).
I've gone a few times and had a couple different ladies and I must say they were very professional and took their time and really made me look amazing.
Thanks Faux Glow for converting a person who was going else where and now I can't get enough. It truly is better than thearapy.

the girls who take care of you here are like 16 years old and very unprofessional. I'm in the beauty business- I came out with the most unnatural looking tan- my beauty editors were laughing. I called & the "manager" was very unhelpful and had attitude. the location is awful- not at all swanky, the way it portrays itself to be. you get much better color (shockingly!) for a much better price at Beach Bum Tanning!

Well, let me first say that I do not nor have I ever worked at Faux Glow! I see that most of the bad reviews oddly enough get a response from the owner saying that the person was retaliating b/c she fired them?? Hmm... well, I never worked there and will be happy to show my pictures of how orange and streaky I was. The pictures have a time stamp as well and I have my rcpt with time on it too... no falsifying here. Finally let me say that if YOU end up unhappy with your shade of ORANGE - they are not thrilled to work with you. That's what happened to me and I disputed the charge with my credit card company. The letter rcvd back was full of lies that were actually comical!! The owner stated that I was so HAPPY with my RESULTS that I tipped the tech $20 dollars ... she even makes herself sound silly enough to ask "why would she do that if she weren't happy with the RESULTS?"... Hmm? Funny, we don't get RESULTS until 6 to 12 hours later correct?? So when I tipped my generous $20 bucks it was b/c I was generous... and even if I ended up with purple polka dots (I did not!! Only turned blotchy orange w/pics to show it) ... I was still sprayed by the tech so the tip was for her service .. not for the bonus of turning orange! I won't even mention the tech's name b/c she did her job of spraying..... Next she tried to say that I do this all over town!! She said I TOLD THEM that I call and complain and then get my money back!! Hmmm?? I guess if that was my MO, then I why would I tell THEM before doing the same?? Let me give out my name to be checked out!! So funny!! This is only my 2nd tanning place gone to and I LOVED the first one (name available upon request)... my friend didn't have the same results as me... but they worked w/her and she was ultimately satisfied (unlike this experience). It's funny b/c when I told her the name of the other tanning place, one of the techs said it's their competition... At any rate... whether you realize it or not, you sign something stating that you cannot get your money back NO MATTER WHAT COLOR THEY TURN YOU!!!... so be warned!! I am happy to say that my credit card company refunded ME as a courtesy anyway b/c I refiled my dispute and while they understood the situation - the problem is the paper that was signed. However, as an EXCELLENT customer (who does NOT abuse disputes!) they credited my account for the FULL AMOUNT (and sent me a letter confirming the same)and so as long as I am not out the money, it's not as bad. The credit card company will make a note and watch for other complaints about this merchant... but I am appreciative I did not have to pay to be turned orange. Luckily the color only lasted less than 4 days (although all my scrubbing to remove the orange look may have helped!). Be warned!! If you have any questions of my experience there please let me know! I have all my paperwork as well showing my refund and my dispute as well so as to prove this complaint is genuine.

After trying several places in NYC - I finally turned to Citysearch and read about Faux Glow.

They really are the best in NYC - I can see why they won the Best of Citysearch!

I asked just for a nice natural looking color - I wasn't going away on vacation but I wanted to feel like I just got back from one. So Meaghan gave me the perfect color!

I will be back often because I like to have the look of a tan but I don't want to go into the sun anymore.

I've never received so many compliments - people asked "what did you do - you look great...I couldn't lie - I gave them Faux Glow's phone number so they could share the same experience I had.

Pros: Just the right color and everyone is so nice!

I had a special night planned out with my boyfriend and he said to look my best! So I thought he loves it when I have a tan, but I don't like to go into the sun anymore.

I heard about Faux Glow through a friend and she said they were the BEST place to go (she has tried so many other places in the city). I booked an appointment online and with Liz and she went over colors with me and she said to do the "Hollywood Honey" so I would have a healthy glow! I'm so glad I didn't go darker because this shade was PERFECT!

I went out with my boyfriend that night and lets just say he couldn't stop staring at me. He said you look beautiful as usual but something is different and I told him what I did. He thought is was a great idea.

Let's just say that night I ended up going out to dinner with my boyfriend and coming home with my fiance. He proposed - I was so happy that I was glowing inside & out.

I will defintely recommend Faux Glow to my friends. Next time I'm going to try the Teeth Whitening.

I went here to get sprayed before my vacation to Miami and it's definitely the best place I've been to in the city. It's actually cheaper than a lot of places (was $95 for me to get my whole body and some sculpting done). When I first left I was a little apprehensive because my palms were orange and my face was darker than I wanted. But after two showers the color was perfect and I got tons of compliments...and looking at pictures I'm so glad I went!!! The girl who sprayed me was very sweet.... I will definitely go back

I tried this out because they were offering a 15% off discount and I really wanted to see if it would work. Well I was pleasantly surprised. My teeth lightened up 6 shades after going the full half hour. Then Rene suggested I should try the Faux Glow (I can be talked into anything pretty easily) but Rene made me feel very comfortable. I told her I didn't want a lot of color - so we we looked through a color book and I picked the Hollywood Honey color. It was perfect. I loved my glowing skin - it was just the right shade. Also my teeth even looked ligther after that (which was great). So now I'm hooked on both services - I will be coming back in for the Faux Glow more often (it really makes your skin look amazing). And I will be back for the Teeth Whitening as soon as my teeth start to look dull again. Thanks Rene for making me feel like a new person. Also thanks to the staff for your kindness.

I was a little concerned about Faux Glow after reading the reviews on customer service, but I just went for my first visit and loved it. Meaghan did my tan-she was delightful! I found her to be perfectly accommodating. It had been a long while since I had had an airbrush tan and the improvements are great! The color looks fabulous. I will definitely return!

I've been going to Faux Glow for over a year now, and I've had the organic sculpted abs done on myself by Rene & Liz (they are the only 2 girls that do it). I'm a model that shoots for health & lifestyle magazines - so it's important for me to look perfect. It always comes out just the way its supposed to. Both Rene & Liz are true artists and make me look a little more toned (great muscle definition).
It works best on a flat stomachs - so that is the only thing that might prevent some people from trying it. Remember it's just something you do for enhancement, they can't make you look like you've been working out for years. It's just a little shading that makes certain muscles in your stomach stand out! They aren't doing cosmetic surgery. I get the organic full body session about once a month and that also rocks!
They are also the nicest 2 people you'll ever meet, they pride themselveso on great customer service! Sounds like someone out there is trying to make them look bad. Trust me, you will be happy with the results.
They have even called me the day after to see how everything turned out (including my photo shoots) - not to many places do that these days.

Pros: Organic Sculpted Abs - best I've had anywhere!!

Cons: Sometimes it's hard to get an appt. with them-they are busy!

Meaghan was very friendly and went over each step with me. I've done this in the past at other places, but this was the best place that I've tried so far!
We decided on the color "Hollywood Honey" and it was a beautiful shade.
I was going to a wedding and alot of my friends and family were there and they told me I never looked better. They said I had this special "glow" to me...I just said thank you and smiled.
Maybe I'll let them in on my secret one day.

How I wish I could have the same raving reviews as everyone below me! I went far out of my way to visit Faux Glow after endlessly searching where to have my first non-automated spray tan. I knew I wanted some sort of contouring/sculpting done with my tan so it came down to two options, and despite higher prices, I went with Faux Glow because of all of the reviews. Being a research nut, I thoroughly read into what to expect in a contouring spray tan vs. a regular spray tan - and every source I read stated that two different colors would be used, extra time would be spent on the areas you would like to emphasize or distract from, etc. When my spray tan was finished at Faux Glow, I realized no extra time had been spent on my abs though I paid extra for the "Sculpted Abs" tan - literally no extra attention to my midsection whatsoever. I pointed this out but was told that no, I was mistaken, the contouring was already done. As I dried, I became increasingly more uncomfortable that I was paying extra for a service I knew very well I did not receive, regardless of what I was being told. Since I wouldn't be able to prove it until the tan set in and I was already on the vacation I got the tan for, I was frustrated, but I brought it up again at payment time, firmly stating that what happened in the room was completely contrary to what any and all sources on tans with additional contouring state should happen (if anything, just SOME attention paid to the abs to at least PRETEND I'm paying extra for something!). Normally, someone well versed in customer service would try to immediately address that concern, especially considering I explicitly stated "This was not what I was expecting," but all I got back was "Oh." Lo and behold, twelve hours later I took my shower and the tan featured absolutely no "shading" of any sort around my abs. It was a great tan (though no different from a booth) but the customer service was non-existent and I wasted money on a fake "extra." Shame!

Listen, I used to lay in the sun for hours because even though I knew the sun was bad for my skin, I just look better with a tan. When I saw my first wrinkle, though, I had to come up with a new plan. A friend had told me about faux glow but I was still hesitant. Well, all I can is...WOW! First of all, this place is so cute and everyone is nice and welcoming, but Meaghan is just hilarious. I felt so comfortable in the room with her. I can't tell you how happy I was with my results. She gave me beautiful color that was just right for me. It was even, no streaks at all. The first day of my vacation I looked great and I didn't have to spend all my time baking in the sun or trying to avoid a sunburn. I had such confidence. Even my cynic boyfriend had to admit it looked great and asked if guys could go there, too! This is my new addiction....see you next week Meaghan!

I went to Faux Glow for the first time the other day feeling a little nervous - but since they won Best of Citysearch I had to give them a try, and I had the best customer service. They make you feel like a movie star. The girls there are so friendly and made me feel so happy! I've done Airbrush Tanning at other spa's in the city, but I haven't had any luck. This was the first place that really listened to what I wanted to do - just a natural looking tan. I was done by a girl named Jeani and she explained everything to me. First we went over different shades - then she took me into this beautiful purple room (my favorite color is purple;) and sprayed me. I dryed for about 5 minutes and that was it - I got dressed and bought a package - because I will be going back for many sprays. Thank you for giving me that "healthy glow" I love, but now I don't have to sit in the sun and wrinkle my skin.

I went to Faux Glow hoping to get some color and I walked away a bronzed beauty! I am very fair and was somewhat apprehensive about sunless tanning but I found out that they had a range of colors for all types of skin color. I had my appointment with Liz and she was very pleasant. The prices are a bit high (I am a college student and I work part time) but Liz's service was high class and based on the compliments I got were totally worth it!

My husband, out of the blue, asked me one day if he should get and air brush tan. I loved the prospect since he is a redhead and very pale. I was thrilled since in the past years he would go to the tanning booth to "feel good" during the winter months. I never liked that he went since the tanning salons come with very high risk of burning and possibly skin cancer. I introduced him to Faux Glow, which I go to myself, made an appointment for him and off he went. Faux Glow explained the process to him so he knew exactly what to do to prepare and what not to do after the session. He followed the directions to a tee and WhaLa....He came home and for two weeks thereafter looked healthy and amazing. He is hooked! I'm so happy that he loves Faux Glow. It will keep him out of the sun and the tanning boothes and he has the greatest tan lines! He felt very comfortable at Faux Glow. They even offered him a coconut water but the greatest thing about the experience is that even though he is very pale, Jeani made him look healthy, not freaky. The fact that they customize the color is perfect for anyone, even a redhead!

I read the reviews about Faux Glow on citysearch and I decided to try them out. They welcomed me with some Zico Coconut water (so yummy) and they had some snacks to eat while I was waiting. Katie came over and had me fill out a form and then we picked out the right shade for my skin - we decided the "South Beach Bronzed" was the best color for me. I saw myself in the mirror after it was done - it looked AMAZING!! Katie said it would get a little darker as the day went on but then the surface color would wash off and the tan would look just as great. As I was paying I looked up and I saw Linda Wells (the Editor of Allure Magazine) coming out of her room - she looked really good! I couldn't believe I saw her there. SO COOL! That is my favorite magazine - can you tell. Katie then gave me a brochure with all the instructions and tips on how to make the tan last longer. I decided to buy the package because it would make the sessions less money. I will be going back there for good. I hope I run into Linda Wells again.

I went to Faux Glow after reading Paris Hilton was a client. She always looks great - so I knew I would have a good chance also. Well Rene' gave me the "Bahama Bling" color since I have a medium skin tone (she said the color would look natural on me). The color looked amazing. I was going away on vacation and I didn't have to worry about laying in the sun and baking my skin. I sat under the umbrella and drank some pina colada's, read some books, took naps and just relaxed. NO SUNBURN. My husband complimented me every day and told me how great I looked. I'm so glad I finally found the right place to get my airbrush tan's. I even bought a package of 4 sessions - since you get a discount the first time you are there. Great job!!

Faux Glow lives up to all the hype. I have been going there for 5 years and made the mistake of trying a new place because they were booked (won't mention any names - but they were horrible). Faux Glow has the best artists in the city by far and the owner (Jeani) is truly the Picasso of Airbrush Tanning. I have been going to her for years but had to stop going to her for awhile because she was really sick for 2 years. She trained her staff to be just as amazing and no matter who I get they always do a great job! I'm so excited to hear they are expanding and opening a new location in LA. I have business out there and now i will have both coasts covered. Jeani really has done an amazing job with her business - she has expanded 3 times since she opened and she is really a smart business woman. I know all of this because I became friendly with her when I became her client. Her product she makes is amazing and the color is perfect - I love how she can customize it for each clients skin type. They really know how to make their clients feel comfortable in their spa and treat them with snacks, drinks, wine & cappuccino's (I never want to leave :). Well as you can tell I LOVE THIS PLACE and will continue to be a weekly client. Great job girls! Good luck in Cali!

I'm a very fair blonde that's concerned with blinding people in the summer when I've fearlessly committed to switching over to skirts, shorts & tank tops. I have a cool undertone and find that most tanning products make me look muddy not to mention how they have the tendency to pool in those crevices that you definitely don't want to emphasize. The airbrush artists at Faux Glow not only match my ideal summer tone perfectly but add all the appropriate contours I wish I really had. In all honesty looking at my body with those contours gives me motivation to achieve those curves on my own...might give the faux girls less to do when I go next time...lol.

I love this place. I found them through Allure magazine. They were mentioned in the Best of the Best issue. So I thought I would give them a try -but first I read some reviews on Citysearch (which seemed to confirm with the magazine). What a lovely place. I love the way it's decorated (the owner said she was the decorater). Katie had me fill out a client release form and then we went over colors - i picked Hollywood Honey. I didn't want a lot of color - just a light glow. She told me that it would last for only 4-5 days since we were going so light - but I didn't mind. I really just wanted to try out Faux Glow and see if I liked it there. I LOVED IT! They also offered me some snacks and a really refreshing drink called Zico - it's a Coconut water - it was so delicious. I will be going back there for sure. I'm so glad summer is coming up and I have found a great place to get my Airbrush Tans.

I have been to other places in the city (Brazil Bronze, Sundara, Allure Day Spa, etc.) and nothing compares to Faux Glow. I usually go to Jeani or Katie. For my first vist they had me fill out a new client form and it also asked why I was there and what kind of color I was looking for (which I thought was great). Once I filled that out, we went over colors - I choose the Hollywood Honey. I loved my color - it was perfect. They give you a discount for your first visit of 10% off - so I took advantage of that and bought a package - I knew I would be addicted to this. They give you a brochure with all the instructons and tips on how to make it last longer. I was doing this for a wedding I was going to and I looked great in my dress (my husband couldn't stop staring at me - extra credit!). The color looks so natural and it lasted about 8 days on me. I'm so excited I read about them in Allure magazine and they lived up to their expectations. I can't wait for my next appointment.

I am VERY fair, and I made an appointment with Rene...I was nervous to get sprayed because I did not want to become orange, and I did not want to look strange. Rene made my experience a very comfortable one...she went over the colors with me, and told me that the "Hollywood Honey" would get rid of my pastey white skin...and it did!! I looked amazing and felt great. Rene took great care of me, she made me feel comfortable and look great! She also gave me great instructions for maintaining my color for as long as possible. Thanks so much, I will be back for sure and will tell all my friends to come see you Rene!

Wow- there is not enough I can say about my Faux Glow from Jeani. I am quite the pale ale and have a family history of skin cancer- not to mention I wrinkle easily and going to college in Southern Cali, I noticed changes in the way my skin was looking- so suntanning is not an option for me. But I was going to Maui and wanted to look tan and hot in my bikini, so I found Jeani and had an at-home session with her. From the first moment she came in, she made me feel so comfortable! You can choose to leave underwear on if you'd like but I didn't want tan lines so I went nakie- which can be a humbling experience but the whole time we just chatted about our fave reality shows and I didn't feel at all uncomfortable or shy- it was like a girlfriend was spraying me. The tan itself was GORGEOUS- WOW is all I can say. You can choose which shade you want depending on your skin tone too so it looks natural. I felt so confident (and thin!) in my bikini and my husband kept saying how great I looked during the whole trip- his only regret was that he didn't get a tan from Jeani himself! Not only did the gorgeous tan last the entire week I was in Hawaii, but when I came home to New York and it was fading in some spots more than others, I did just what Jeani said- took a hot bubble bath and the entire tan came off so easily! This was very different from my other airbursh tans I have had both in LA and NYC because when they started fading I would try to exfoliate in the shower and I would scrub furiously and it would only come off in certain spots- it looked so strange. But with Jeani's tan- after a 20 minute bubble bath I was back to my pale ale self- it's sad to go back but MUCH better than looking two-toned like I had before with my other airbrush tans. The entire experience was just awesome and I could not have asked for more. I encourage everyone to try Faux Glow and I plan on doing a package this summer so that I look "South Beach Bronzed" for the entire season!

I've tried several other places in the city and i saw Faux Glow in October's 2007 issue. I went to Jeani and she was amazing. She first offered me a cappucino and some snacks. Then we went over colors - I picked South Beach Bronzed. She showed me into the room which was very spacious and gave me instructions on how to prepare. She then came back into the room and started to spray me with a system that allows warm air to spray onto the skin so you aren't freezing (what a treat). Then she used the tube to continue drying me with the warm air for a minute and i was done - no drying time needed. She told me this is one of the new features they offer to clients - so you have a choice. I loved the color - it looked so natural and everyone that saw me over the next few days told me how great i looked. I think they already booked their own appointments. Thank you for pampering me - I will be back.

I was very skeptical on trying a new place but to my amazement it looked soooo great! Liz sprayed me and she did an exceptional job! She was professional, detailed, and very sweet. I would def recommend Faux Glow and Liz for anyones future tanning needs. I plan to go through out the entire winter to keep up this amazing glow! Ive been to other spray tanning spas in the past but Faux Glow is by far the best place I have been to. Liz left no streaking, no blotches, and the color looks amazing!

I was browsing on CItysearch and came upon the last review of Faux Glow. I was take aback by her comments about the customer service. I have never had any problems and or issues with Faux Glow. I am a consistant customer and have never had any problems with the staff. I firmly believe that Jeani Roth owns a very friendly and upscale business and that Faux Glow is the best spray in the city. As far as a 24 hour cancelation policy, Im pretty sure... actually, i would almost guarentee that every salon in New York has the same thing, so why this is an issue for some would boggle the mind. Jeani, Faux Glow staff, your the best and I reccomend you to all of my friends. See you very soon, smooches!!

I wanted to comment on the reply. I did say that I liked the tanning, as I have gone there for years and years. I was just commenting on their customer service. I think that their tanning is great, and I only commented on my last tan as the person was fairly new (as she told me).

But, yes, I did write this review because of the customer service issue, otherwise, as the reply stated, I would not have made the comments, as there would not have been need to.

I still recommend faux glow to my friends, I just say to get the name of the person they cancel with if they do cancel.

I put a lot of weight into customer service, which seems to be diminishing in many places. I have been a customer of faux glow for several years and was generally happy with their spray tans (except that there seems to be a LOT of new people and Jennifer L is no longer there - she was the BEST!!) This time around I had very ORANGE heels as the new people dont do the blending of the wrists and heels like Jennifer used to do. Having said that, I still liked their tans overall. HOWEVER, most recently I was charged for a spray tan session I canceled. The person I spoke with said that she didnt get the cancellation. In my several years of being a customer, I have never been accused of not canceling an appointment. In addition, for a repeat customer, the "benefit of the doubt" customer service is definitely lacking and I probably will find a better place to tan next time around... SUCH AN ASHAME THAT FAUX GLOW WILL LOSE CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF THEIR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I got a Faux Glow from Katie right before a major photo shoot. She surpassed all of my expectations. My tan was not blotchy or streaky at all. My agent even loved it! I had the medium shade and was bronzed from head to toe! I would definitley visit Faux Glow again, especially before an important event. Katie was helpful and sweet, as were the rest of the staff. So far in this city, this is the best spray tan I've gotten. Thank you Faux Glow- you are the best! I'll be back!

People look at me and say... WOW you look radiant with a little sun on your face. Well it's always right after I get a Faux Glow!! It's amazing what a little tan can do!! I owe you girls at Faux all of the amazing complements I get and I thank you so much for making my skin look and feel so great!!

I tried out Faux Glow before my wedding and now I am obsessed. I loved it so much that I bought a session for each of my bridesmaids as a gift to ensure that they were tantastic for my wedding.

I am 32 and no longer into laying out and ruining my skin. After investing so much in skincare it is such a waste to have it ruined by the sun. I go to faux glow 2 days before a major event or once a month to maintain a healthy glow. I would highly recommend!!!

I would go to Majorie or Jeanie (the owner).

I have fair skin and have been going to faux glow for several years now and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. It is great whether you want to go light for just showing your legs in skirts for the summer or darker for going on vacation. I have never been able to get tan only red and burnt and Faux Glow has been able to give me a great natural looking color. I highly recommend it.

By far the best place in NY and probably anywhere!!!! Very natural and yet tan!1 and you can decide how dark you want to go!!!

I love Faux Glow! Every time I leave I look like I just got back from the islands. They can cater the tan to your skin tone - which makes it perfect for all seasons. I never have to lie in the sun again!!!!

Every experience I've had at Faux Glow has been better than the last. I've been to many sunless spas and none compare. Not the tan, not the ambiance, and certainly not the staff. They are so warm and friendly. If you are looking for a tanning spa in New York City, this is the only place to go!

I have been going to Faux Glow and Jeani since she has been open and I highly recommend the her top-notch services to anyone. You will not be disappointed since they are there to please the customer with such a personalized and warm touch. You will leave looking and feeling great! The days of frying your skin in the sun are over and I can't say enough how this 'faux glow' settles into a lovely, natural tan which will last you at least a week. The products they sell to keep yourself bronze are great and the friendly staff can help you with tips to reapply. It beats any service like it in the city.

I had the same exact experience as the person below. I wanted a healthy glow but the technician insisted I go darker despite me telling her that I did not want to look like I went tanning. I came out several shades darker and was embarrased to be seen in public. It also streaked really badly. I have done self tanners myself and it looked better. I wouldn't do this again. I'd rather fake and bake..

If you have fair skin, get the Lightest shade available, regardless of what the technician advises you. I cannot stress that enough. I am fair, do not tan and wanted a healthy glow for a beach vacation. I was leaning toward the light shade, but the tech. suggested one shade darker to lengthen the longevity of the tan. While the space, technician, and overall service was great, the tan itself was WAY TOO dark for my skin tone. It also turned out pretty streaky and spotty. I felt very self-conscious leaving, so I took a $30 cab ride home. Overall, I would have been better off using a self-tanning cream. And, I have had spray tans in the past at other places that have turned out more even and not as orangey/dark. Go for the light shade, fair-skinned people!!

I have been going to Faux Glow for awhile now and I?m completely obsessed with the results, which are fabulous ? the color is natural, even and lasts for about a week. Each time I go (which is mostly for special events, weddings, holidays, etc.) I leave with a boost of confidence and a gorgeous glow and friends always comment on how natural my tan looks. But what far exceeds the length of the air brush tan is the staff?s commitment to the clients. As soon as you enter into the chic salon that is tucked away in midtown you know you went to the right place. The owner, Jeani Roth, is a sweetheart and is totally dedicated to making sure that her clients are satisfied with their results. I highly recommend Faux Glow!

I absolutley loved my faux glow tan! I left looking like a just got home from vacation with a very natural glow. I had an appointment with Rene, and not only did she do a great job, she made the experience very comfortable. I would definatley recommend this service to anyone!
