New York Kitchen & Bathroom

We recently contracted NYKB to renovate our 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath coop in New York City. This was a complete gut renovation, including wall repair, new hardwood flooring, all new kitchen and both bathrooms. NYKB handled everything for us, from initial design work all the way through completion of the project. Very importantly, they worked well with our coop and managing company to make sure all work was done properly and received all appropriate approvals. The results were fantastic, and everyone that comes to our new apartment cannot stop complimenting us on the renovation. In terms of service, NYKB was very responsive to our needs regarding follow up work and timelines. This was a very big project, and NYKB met every challenge. Most importantly, the final product speaks for itself. The quality of work was outstanding.

I MUST SAY Through the phase of design after I hired NYKB, I discovered the building required an additional upgrade of plumbing. Since NYKB informed me in advance, I was prepared for the extra expense. I'm happy with the work they did in my bathroom and in the future I might think about renovating my kitchen as well.

My bathroom isn?t a standard NYC bathroom. I?ve spent a lot of time looking for the custom doors with the right measurements. I went to NYKB and got help from one of their designers who immediately was capable of finding what I was looking for. They handled me very professionally. The designer came to my apartment and took precise measurements. I described what I wanted, and NYKB delivered.
After receiving my merchandise and after about 5 months I had a problem with one of the hinges. I called NYKB to consult with them on how to solve this problem. The day after, someone came to my home to evaluate the problem. The following week they already came to install the broken hinge with no additional charge. Today I?m very happy with my custom glass doors, while I?m considering redoing my 2nd bathroom, I would definitely consider hiring NYKB to do the project.

I turned to NYKB as a full service provider company. As a mother of 2 whom works a full time job, I find it very helpful to have someone take care of the process. NYKB took responsibility of everything, leading to the renovation of my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. They contacted the management company and ordered the materials. This allowed me to focus on other aspects of my life and not to worry about the construction.
During the countertop installation, we had a bit of a glitch. The countertop cracked. I was panicking since I needed to cook and used my kitchen. NYKB totally took on the responsibility and apologized. I had a beautiful countertop installed in my kitchen in less than a week with the help of there materials dept.
Even though my project took longer than expected, workers have been in my apartment on a daily basis. I guess you can?t always be prepared to everything.
I was very pleased with the final results and the way I was treated. I recommend NYKB to those of us who need to renovate their kitchen or bath and cant afford to dedicate so much time to the process that leads to the construction and completion.

We recently had a major renovation of our kitchen and bathroom in our NY condo performed by NYKB. The completed job was performed with quality workmanship and superior fit and finish.The project supervisor was extremely professional and curteous.He kept us up to date with any issue or unanticipated delays. The office staff was extremely responsive to our needs.

When reading the rave reviews, read carefully. Vocabulary verbage and sentence structure used are very similar in each review.
I f you have signed a contract, please note, you may not have the same subcontractors that have been raved about. Many of the admendments may be unnecessary and if they are, negotiate the price, or speak with your building's superintendent's contractors.

My experience with NYKB is ok. I had a salesperson come to my home. The quote was not cheap. We decided to go through with it. They did not show up on time to begin the work,something about their car broke down. They show up a day later. They start demolition and what a surprise behind the wall. Totally not expected. I was told this could happen but did not think this will happen to me. So additional work and $$ was added.,they call this an ammendment. Not happy at this point. The salesman a bit pushy. Though the field manager was totally there for us,to answer any questions and resolve our issues. The cabinets arrive. One is the wrong size. a new one has to be ordered and we must pay for the rush as to not hold up the countertop installation.They finish the job later than promised but the final touches are really great. The designer had some nice suggestions that worked in our space. Very stressfull procedure. All in all we are happy it's over

I am so excited to share my experience with you.I walked into their downtown showroom just to look around. So much selection and eye candy. I close the deal. Not the cheapest in town but the service,oh what service. Everyone i worked with from the designer to the installers and the plumbers were so professional. My cabinets arrived on time and all the accessories i chose were delivered right to my door.No mistakes. I was warned that home improvement projects were very stressfull,not so in my case. NYKB was there for me every step of the way. Personal attention and service was prvided.I highly recommend this company to everyone i speak to who is looking to improve their residence.

NYKB was not the cheapest around town. They are very accesible,knowledgable and their designers and workmen are amazing. The project took much longer then promised,but the end result turned out amazing.
Though it was very stressfull and did not run so smoothly we are really happy.

I must say i am really surprised at the negative reviews. I am very pleased with the work nykb provided. The designer was very helpfull,made many great suggestions and helped me choose everything.yes there were amendments but as per my requests and needs.there was one mistake with the size with one of my kitchen cabinets,but was resolved pretty quickly.it did take a bit longer than promised. Over all i was satisfied with the service nykb proided.

I am so sorry that I went with NYKB. They do not know how to run a business yet they certainly know how to run up those amendments costing the customer a fortune. Do not be fooled by their showroom or website. Their mantra is 'Show me the money NOW' They do not treat their customers with respect. I do not know one happy customer. and the reason these reviews are are being deleted is because thay have an insider fighting tooth and nail to have them removed. Many employees left the organization because of their injust practices. I am sorry I did not listen to my super. They are not what they appear to be.

Do not be swayed by 'grear reviews' nor the smooth talking of Perry Hiiman. Every problem is your responsibility not NYKB's. An excuse for everything. They do not take ownership for their work but they definitely take ownership of your wallet
