They have belly dancing and amazing live north african jazz on Thursdays with no cover. They only serve wine and beer, but they have a good selection. A friend of mine had a little too much Delirium Tremens... Another friend is now

The food and wine were great, and the waitress and bartender were courteous. Best of all was the beautiful bellydancer and live band playing some great middle eastern type music. Highly reccomend this place on any night, especially Thursdays.

I am not one who normally reviews restaurants online, but I have to say this place really did not sit well with me. The food was so banal, tasteless and completely overpriced, the atmosphere really stale. he place got really busy and there was only one waitress, and I overheard her being chastised by her boss and it was pretty disrespectful-not cool. I had stopped by to meet up with a friend, and was completely let down. Won't be going back there.

best place in the east village for thursday nights! just happened by this cozy place and they had an amazing four-piece middle eastern band with belly dancers all night long...fantastic vibe, and on top of that, the food and wine was pretty great. was just going to stop in for a drink but ended up staying for dinner. i had a white pizza with prosciutto, perfectly crispy, had truffle oil on it and was sooo delicious. no hard liquor here, just wine and beer, but the helpful bartender helped me navigate the wine list and picked out a few excellent glasses. the musicians were great, belly dancer was beautiful, service was super warm and friendly...i'll be back next thursday for sure. i was told they have music on tuesday nights too. highly recommended.

I went to Luca Bar last week end and my friends and I had a very good time, the Brunch is very reasonably priced. We had a nice fresh chicken salad followed by burgers and eggs, with our dessert ( very creamy and crunchy chocolate crepes) we had some sangria. I shall say that the sangria is out of this universe, very tasty and a couple of glasses make you forget that your favorite team just lost the French soccer cup final ( as it was sadly the case for me!)

The service was very good and the manager very friendly, he actually chatted with us for a little while, telling us about how he has become strict about serving alcohol (IDs are required in order to purchase alcohol due to the increase of undercover operations in the neighborhood).

I will definitely go back there, I had an overall GREAT experience!

My friends and I went there recently on a weeknight, and while we were eating dinner we saw an enormous, black r oach crawl slowly up the wall and along the ceiling. Shortly after we lost sight of this r oach, a second one appeared ON MY FRIEND'S LAP at the table!! Needless to say, this was not a pleasant dinner experience. To top it all off, neither the manager nor the waitress even apologized, let alone offered us a free drink. Do NOT go here unless you are ok with finding big black r oaches crawling around on you while you are eating.

Went there with a friend on a Tuesday night and had a great time. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The menu was mostly Italian but not heavy pastas - more sandwiches, salads, etc. The bartender was great, not over bearing or pretentious at all, but just really relaxed and helpful with the wine list. All in all, it was a lovely experience and a great find. We'll definitely be back.
