I just moved to the area and happen to live right above the Bubble Works at the corner of Clinton Ave. and Fulton Streets. I used to live in Washington Heights and routinely dropped off my laundry at a nearby facility. It always came back neatly folded and in pristine condition. This was far from the case with Bubbleworks. Yes, the laundry was folded, but for the price, a whopping $1.27 per pound, did not match the quality of the work. Two of my items of clothing (not delicate) had shrunk and one of my favorite pairs of slacks came back with a large oil like stain on the entire right leg. Not only this, but this particular location has discriminatory pricing. A man can have a regular cotton (or other material) button down shirt dry cleaned for $1.99. While women will pay $4.75 for the exact same type of shirt, which in most cases will have far less fabric. They claim this is because they have a special machine for men and they haven't made the machine for womens' shirts, which will not fit on the mens' machine. How unfair is that?? Is this legal??? Additionally, I decided to also drop off a pair of black denim jeans, which I decided to dry clean so they would not shrink or fade. When I picked them up and tried them on, not only had they significantly shrunk, but they were at a minimum four shades lighter. This led me to believe they did not dry clean the jeans, yet they charged me for such. When I approached the store clerk about the problem she suggested I return when the manager was there. He is conveniently never available. This place does not properly clean your clothes and you will go broke paying for their services and replacing the items they destroy. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Pros: Convenient location and beats walking 5 blks to the laundry mat and sitting all day.

Cons: Slow service, over priced, poor quality work, and destroys clothes

This place is terrible. If I could give it zero stars, I would. First of all, they charge $1.07 a pound to drop off laundry and it takes TWO DAYS, a full 48 hours, to get it back. I used to live in Manhattan and it was 65 cents a pound and you got it back the same day - 6 or 7 hours later!! Bubble Works is a huge rip-off.
Also, my roommate and I have both had clothes returned to us with rips and tears in them. And dry cleaning? Forget it - it would probably be cheaper just to go buy a new wardrobe.

Pros: none

Cons: hugely expensive, takes days to get clothes back, they rip your clothes
