Is a very nice place, if you're far away from the Italian neighborhood in Bond you can eat a great Italian food with a great service

HOw does a restaurant that charges over $30 for a pizza not have t spoons? Though our waiter was great and the food fine, the fact that the restaurant was out of spoons for our coffee and dessert turned an ok dinner into a I would never go back" experience.

My office was located in Times Square and this was our place for taking new hires or candidates for interviews. Large and bustling in typical NY fashion. Food is good.

We went to eat here after randomly looking for a place after a Broadway show. THe place is HUGE but was quite empty by the time we got there. We had an extremely nice and attentive waitress. The food was superb and we thought the price was acceptable.

Pros: Excellent food and ambiance

Perfect for pre theatre, close to everything, a cut above most in the area, and not a tourist trap feel. The staff is great and aware that you have to make a show... they also have opinions of the shows also so you get good insight. The food is wonderful and service beautiful. Don;t be afraid to split a dinner so that you aren't too full for the show. Love the place.

my friend suggested we try out this restaurant... so i read the reviews and saw that someone had said john from florida was a good waiter. when we got to the restaurant we just happned to get john and he is the BEST. best service ever-- he even tried to hail us a cab. we got two orders of the special that night which was striped bass and the sliced steak toscana. everyone really enjoyed their meals. the drinks were good too! we definitely want to go back... VERY IMPRESSED!

first time at bond 45. food was excellent but even better was our waiter. he was extremely friendly, professional, but most important sincere in what he did. typically waiters in the new york area have a certain cocky air about them, but not this young man. he atated his name was john and he was from tampa, fl. not only was he friendly but he new how to turn on the charm with my wife and children, which made our experience wonderful. our food took longer than normal, but his quick wit and charm won us over. the food was well worth the wait, but in could have been another hour and it would not have mattered. sure to return and hope john is available. recommend asking for john if you ever visit bond 45. thanks for a great time.

Possibly the worst meal i've had in nyc. How you ruin something as basic as "brick oven chicken" is beyond me. the presentation was almost as disgusting as the food - 4 dried out potatoes and a shriveled chicken carcass. Having eaten in many actual Italian restaurants in new york, i had high hopes for a good meal and instead paid far too much for lousy " italian" food. They say the chef is from Italy, he should go back and see how they do it. The only saving grace was our waitress, she was a real pistol

We went twice last week - once for dinner, once for lunch. The 8 oz. filet is amazing - so tender, perfectly cooked rare, no salt/pepper needed. Also, go for the antipasti sampler and get the baked zucchini w/parm.

Pros: Great steaks, fish and very reasonable prices

Cons: Looks a little over NEON outside, but this place is killer.

I went there in Feb 08 and I didn't like the food at all, the lasagna was not good at all. I told the waiter for the check instead of complaining. He was nice enough to ask me if there was a problem and I told him I didnt like the lasagna and if there was something else he could get us to compensate and I said just give me a pizza and he did. Although that was not good either, when you can mess up pizza in an italian restaurant that is bad. I still tipped him good, because he was extremely nice.

I had a great time at Bond 45. The host was cordial and my waiter was wonderful. He knew the menu inside and out. So he helped me and my guest pick some really great dishes. This is not the first time I've been there either. Everytime I go it's just a delight. The ambiance is gorgeous. It can get a little noisy and quite hectic during the pre-theatre rush though. I highly recommend this place. My friends and colleagues alike love it.

I had a business lunch there yesterday, despite having a reservation, the restauarants MASSIVE size and it not being even remotely full - we were seated in a booth by the bussing station in the back...its the worst table in the place. We were not tourists who walked off the street in shorts and sneakers so I really don't understand why the host felt the need to seat us there. At one point the runner brought us our food and created a log jam with other servers trying to clear plates...that makes a nice dining experience doesn't it? They also put some bulky half screen to block the joy of looking into a bussing station but it just made it more difficult for people to maneuver.

I would deal with it if the restaurant was jammed but it wasn't - there were loads of empty tables. I'm not saying i needed the best seat in the house but I would have liked the host to have shown a little more respect. No one should be seated at that booth unless the place is full and they have no other choice.

Now I would have put up with a lot if the food was decent. It is not. Tell me how hard is it to ruin chicken? Mine was underdone and gummy. For the prices they charge they should be ashamed of themselves. My colleague said his salmon was 'fine' but nothing special, he said a cheap diner in his neighborhood serves a better piece of fish than this place.

I heard this restaurant is owned by a group that has several places in town - one that i actually like - after my experience yesterday i'm never going to any of their restaurants again - I also have a big mouth and lots of business contacts so I'll be spreading the word as well. So if you want overpriced bad food and terrible insulting service please by all means go to Bond 45, The Redeye Grill, Brooklyn Diner, Shellys, Trattoria De' Arte and Fiorellos. In a big restaurant town such as NYC there are far better choices to make for the same prices.

The service was terrible. When the waiter was cleaning up our table, he spilled the whole plate of vinegar and got onto me and my friends' clothes. The waiter did not apologize right away. It was a really bad experience.

This place was recommended by a friend of my father's. It's huge and has an interesting story about the building. This gave us something to read about 400 times whilst waiting for someone to approach our table. The lukewarm bottle of tapwater given to us eventually was meant to tide us over for the 20 minute (no joke) wait for the waiter. He knew the menu and wine list front to back, which would have been impressive if he ever approached us. We mentioned how we had to be out by a certain time and the check wasn't presented until 15 minutes after that. I myself am a server and my father is a restuarant owner. We know what service should be for a restaurant with such an expensive menu. This wasn't it. We only left 20% (which is a bad tip, for those who don't know). If I have 3 hours I might go back but when there are thousands of restaurants in NYC, I doubt it.

Went for a working lunch there with a couple coworkers. We had the gorgonzola bread as an appetizer - which was delicious, but honestly kind of hard to screw up - cheese and bread! The linguini fruite de mare was excellent - with an abundance of seafood. Our waiter was great and gave us a complimentary dessert wine with our check. Nice touch. Good for an expensed meal in Times Square. We went at an off hour (2:30) so it was pretty empty but I imagine it fills up with alot of tourists during prime hours.

I'm never going back. We had theater tickets, so we decided to try Bond 45, it was close to the theater. What a horrible mistake. The restaurant was very noisy, we had to wait for a table, but that was somewhat understandible. We were finaly seated, the waiter was so rude. He wouldn't go over specials, we couldn't hear him, we just ordered off the menu. I ordered a glass of red wine, he brought me a warm glass of white wine. When I politely asked him to change it, he gave me attitude. The appetizers came together with the enterees and my wine replacement came almost at the end of the meal. It didn't even matter, I had lost my appetite by then anyway. The food was very average. We barely made it for the show. Never going back.

Went to Bond 45 last weekend on the advice of a friend and were not disappointed! We didn't have a reservation but arrived early (6:30) and it was no problem. Kyle was our waiter and he gave us some great recommendations for entrees and wine as well as impeccable service. The homemade mozzarella appetizer is amazing - super creamy and rich and the crab cake entree was excellent as well. Everything about our experience was great - we'll be back!

Finally, real Italian in Times Square! My wife and I frequent the theater about once or twice a month, and are always on the look-out for a great pre-theater dinner. We walked by this restaurant and were attracted to the large old looking front with a neon sign and were amazed to find out that it was brand new! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by their friendly staff and felt so welcome. Our food was specatular (DON'T pass up the mozzorela misto) and our waiter was one of the best we've had. One of the managers, I think he was Sicilian, even came over to our table and spoke Sicilian to us! So gracious and warm - go try it and experience Italy in New York!!!!

Not having to rush to the theatre, I made reservations to have a special dinner with my girl only to have the night ruined by the experience at BOND 45. The decor is noteworthy, but that's about all. The meal I ordered was "out of stock", and my second choice arrived late. Our plates were cleared as though they were rushing us out- very rude and untraditional for even wannabe-upscale places. We didn't even get to hear the specials! And here I thought I'd be getting special attention in the empty theatre-time restaurant. So much for that! Back to training school with this new place!

I took my family from out-of-town for a pre-theater dinner here. While we were seated promptly - the meal and experience soon turned sour. The vegetable antipasti were overdone and soggy, turning each item into a mealy mess. A ravioli dish actually made one of the members of our party ill later in the evening. The seafood entrees were lackluster including a crab dish served in-shell with contained little to no meat or taste. Aside from the food being mediocre we ended up waiting 45 (coincidence?) minutes for our entrees thus were forced to gulp down our coffee and run out of the place. I can say however that our show after dinner was enjoyable but the show inside Bond 45 is more carnival than theater.

The atmosphere is great, absolutely beautiful. I loved how attentive the servers are. Even the managers come around and talk to you. Not only that, but the managers are also walking around giving out cookies... If you decide to go here (which I highly recommend) go early and sit at the bar for a little while before your reservation time. There is an adorable French bartender, who is an absolute sweetheart.

Went with some friends and had a great time. We had heard that it was a fun place and it lived up to our expectations. We would make 2 suggestions to the owners though..1) the waitstaff should carry a list of the antipasti selections when they take orders. The wonderful dishes that you see as you're walking into the restaurant are plentiful and you can order a selection of 3 as an appetizer, but you have to remember which ones you wanted because they're not listed individually on the menu - we all order 3 different selections and none of our plates came back correct even though everything they brought was good. 2) the glass "wall" that surrounds the antipasti should be a little higher to protect it from coughs of gazing patrons crammed in the entranceway waiting for a table.

My family and I (5 people) were in NYC to see Rent on Sunday, 2/20. We originally were going to go to Carmine's but found the staff to be somewhat rude. We left and happened upon Bond 45. My kids were impressed by the sleek appearance of the place requested that we try it. At first, I thought it was going to cost me a small fortune. But to my surprise the bill was reasonable and we left completely satisfied and more than content. We enjoyed each appetizer, main dish and dessert. I loved the way they came around to the tables with free cookies and appetizers. We truly enjoyed ourselves and I would high recommend this establishment to others and, in fact, have already done so to several co-workers. Thank you for making our dinner memorable.
