I HAD to redo my review for this bar- AMAZING and definitely 5 stars. From the bouncers, to the bartendars- I love this bar :) What attracted my friends and I here are the free open bars- not a bad deal, especially with great staff, you can't go wrong here. Great music also! Definitely try it out!

this place is AWESOME! they have a free open bar from 10-11 on saturday night!! the party i was with had an extended open bar for 2 more hours for only $30 so we ended up drinking from 10pm-1am! they had so many flat screens and tons of beer on tap that im for sure coming back to watch the big games!! we had an awesome time here and we got to drink as much as we wanted. you will definitely see me here again!

I have to be honest, sports bars aren't my thing. But when my friends all got together and decided we were going I couldn't say no. Bar XII turned out to be one of the best sports bars I've ever been to! My friend signed us up for the free open bar and then we had an option to extend the open bar that the boys loved. (I'm a lightweight so I didn't do it). We ended up staying at Bar XII the entire night. I'm glad I've finally found a sports bar that I like!

WE ARE REGULARS @ BAR 12 AND WE JUST LOVE IT & WE HAVE BEEN TO ALOT OF OTHER BARS BUT WE JUST CANT GET ENOUGH OF THIS PLACE . IT HAS SUCH A DIVERSE CROWD AND THE MUSIC IS GREAT. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE MANAGER "ERIC" IS A COOL DUDE . THE FOOD IS ON POINT WAY BETTER THAN UR AVERAGE "BAR FOOD". WE LOVEEEEEE THE CHICKEN TENDERS ANS SWEET POTATO FRIES. ALL THE DRINKS R GREAT THAT WE HAVE HAD SO FAR AND R CHEAP. THE SECURITY AT THE DOOR ARE COOL VERY FRIENDLY AND WE CANT FORGET THE BATHROOM ATTENDANT HE IS SO FUNNY LOL . My never-ending quest for a cheap, sit-down lunch in Murray Hill led me to Bar XII this afternoon. $7 lunch specials reeled me in, and a bacon cheeseburger and fries sealed the deal.

The servers were polite and friendly, and the burgers were great. Big, juicy medium-rares with choice of cheese, a big (albeit lonely) strip of bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a big pickle. Add on the seasoned fries and you have yourself a winner.

I'd like to check out Bar XII for drinks, the bar looked cool even though there were WAY too many tv's (on the beer taps? really??) and WAY too many beers on tap. Wait, I kid, 24 beers on tap is awesome.

I went here for a friend of a friends birthday and really enjoyed myself. They constantly put different shots at discounted prices for finite periods of time and had pretty good music on the top level. Its a fun place for the birthday boy/girl who gets to drink free for the night with a wrist band and its affordable enough for the friends to get drunk too! All in all pretty awesome!
The music is loud, yes, but you will be endlessly entertained by used-to-be-hipsters dancing in between crowded spaces in their tight jeans and moustaches.
Totally having my bday here!!

If you just want to be around nice people and really great food and excellent drinks, then Bar 12 is the place to be. This spot is about to take over a lot of clubs real soon. The music is great with rotating dj's every week this is the place to be. And if it's your birthday WOW!!!!!! you get treated extra special, I'm telling you Bar 12 is the place to be I recommend you tell a friend to tell there friend to bring more friends to this spot. I was looking for a venue to host an open bar fundraiser for a local charity, and I came across Bar 12 on Citysearch. I approached the management of the bar with my idea and they gave me a reasonable price. They were eager to do everything possible to make the event a success. On the night of the event, the manager Eric ensured all the guests were well taken care of and the event went smoothly. The music was great (not too loud for conversation) and the drinks were flowing all night. Many of the guests even stuck around after the open bar was done! Overall it was a great event, and the professionalism of the management at Bar 12 definitely made this event a huge success. Definitely recommend this location for any open bar events or just hanging out after work.

In May, I threw a surprise party for a buddy, and everything was great. I called in advance to reserve tables (at no cost--and with short notice). The space was ready for my friends when they arrived; the food I ordered in advance was also on time for hungry guests. Jackie, our waitress, was a doll. Overall it was a great time. Everyone was very happy, especially the birthday boy. Later on a few of us took part in beer pong. We lost, horribly, but that was our own fault.

i recently had a night out at this place and had a great time.the staff were all very pleasant which i find rare in this town now where most bartenders barely even look alive.i also lost my phone in the bathroom and the doorman found it for me and i got it back thank god.
i will return for sure. .

The first thing we noticed about the bar was that IT WAS LOUD! The second thing we noticed about this bar was that IT WAS WAY LOUD! The DJ only cranks. It's too loud to even tell what the music is.

I don't get it. If you want to dance, of course, the music should be loud. If you go to a concert, the music should be loud. But in a bar you want to talk... try out your best I lost my phone number can I have yours? lines. How can you do that over the volume?

I ordered a Boddington's beer from their pretty good beer list.
"What?" asked the waitress.
 "A Boddington's!" I shouted.
 "A body?" she shouted. "You want a body?"
 "No!" I shouted back, "A BODDINGTON'S"
 "Do you want some kind of beer?" she shouted.
 Eventually, I walked her over to the bar and pointed.
 Despite (because of?) the volume, the place was packed.
 There was a huge beer selection on the menu, and lots of taps at the bar. At least 1/3, though, were "sold out."

I had a blast for my 29th birthday! From the minute I called to book my party, they were friendly and helpful. One of the things I appreciated the most is that none of my friends had to pay a cover and the door was not tough. The music was great the crowd was good. Because it was my birthday I got a VIP bracelet to drink free all night. I danced so much and had a blast! But in my drunkeness... I left my clutch with my ID, money and keys, at the bar and thankfully one of the managers noticed that it was unattended and put it aside (nothing was missing either).That really made my night!!! I would definitely go back and I would recommend it to others. I wish I had gotten the bouncers name though... he was hot!

Bar 12 is a very fun sports bar in Murray Hill and I must say out of all the bars in The Hill, Bar 12 always has the best scene in terms of fun people! plasma tvs everywhere and a fun vibe!

Xavier University's NY Alumni Chapter has found a home in the city! We've been watching games there for the past two seasons, and the staff (especially manager Devin) has been very accomodating. We're able to see the games from anywhere in the bar, and when we can't have sound over the speakers the sound dogs for the tables are brought out. They've even turned the lights blue (our school color) and hung up our flag during the games. The happy hour specials are much appreciated, and the food is always good. This is the perfect place to hold an event!

Twelve is a really great Bar/Lounge! The atmosphere is nice and the crowd is a fun group of people. Great music to dance to and awesome service! You never have to wait long to get a drink at the bar. The atmosphere and the awesome bartender, Devin, are why I will definitely come back again!

I had my birthday party there and everything they told me they would provide, they did. Erica (the best waitress ever) was our personal waitress, providing my group of friends with our choice of liquor. She made sure I always had a drink in my hand (the birthday person drinks for free). The DJ was good and even took requests. The only downside is it can get very crowded. It could have been because the UFC fight was on that night.

Overrall, I had a wonderful birthday!

I had my birthday party here. I have to agree with the other posts below talking this place up as a great place for a birthday party. After reading the other posts, i thought to myself if it is half as good as what these people are saying, it will still be a great time, and was very impressed when it was exactly as good as advertised. A classy place with respectful and professional people that take pride in providing good service and creating a setting where you and your friends will have a great time. They truly make you feel VIP, (I drank for free all night because it was my birthday), and everyone seemed to have a great time. I highly recommend this place.

I recently held a dual birthday party here, which I told the party organizer, Gabriella, that I would need to reserve space for 40 people. She took care of it, set me up, and gave my group 5 tables, had an area cleared out for dancing, and the back bar was basically for me and my party. We wound up getting 60 people, there was no cover at all, and yes, me and my friend, we both got to drink whatever we wanted for FREE, as it was our birthday. When I got there, I met Devin, our host for the night. He was more than accomodating. Set us up immediately, let me know the situation, and took me right for a drink. The entire staff was welcoming, all the waitresses and bartenders were very accomodating. I am definitely planning to hold another party here, and I have zero complaints! I felt like I was treating like a king.

I have scouted many places to hold my birthday party for the past 4 years. Service, Respect, and their ability to keep their word are the highest priority for me. Many places are shady and end up not holding their end of the deal, ruining your party. BAR XII IS BETTER THAN THAT.

- I emailed Gabriella and requested to have my party there for 20-40 people. She reserved me a table no problem, NO CHARGE (they were showing a BIG BOXING event with $20 cover charge, my guests were FREE!!).

- I showed up at 10pm and Devin was at the door to greet me and told me to go ahead straight to the bar and get my FREE DRINKS!! (B-day celebrant gets a bracelet to drink for FREE ALL NIGHT LONG!!). At this point I didn't even have my bracelet yet and the bartenders gave me a drink anyways.

- There was some confusion with my table and I requested the far back end one. After talking with my server and Devin, i was able to get what i requested. While waiting, they bought me a round of shots (PATRON) for my guests and I (GREAT WAY to make someone feel better). Not to mention the 2ND ROUND OF SHOTS Devin bought for everyone at the table.

- They kept their word and didn't charge any of my guests. Some of them were even stuck in line at the door and Devin allowed them to skip the line! (Service and Respect right there!)

- Met the owner, Sherry and she was very welcoming and wiling to get me more drinks.

- After the Fight, all the TV's were shut off and it became a very elaborate lounge with GREAT Music and very cool Lighting Effects

Bottom Line: NO HASSLE, FREE DRINKS, Customer Appreciation is their Priority and it shows.

This place has it all, from a friendly ,to a pretty staff, to a great atmosphere. I have been going ther for lunch for over two years now. The lunch menu has a great variety and you can not get that kind of quality for the price. I know of a good customer making a suggestion to have daily lunch specials and they have added it to give one more great choice to make. I can eat, and this place can cook with quality and most important consistency !! It is a great place to watch any sporting event or anything that you request. There are many places in the area for lunch , but nothing that would keep me or any of my co-workers from returning more then 3 times per week. We can drink , but lunch time is for the specials and atmosphere.We have tried just abut all the places around 34th and 3rd, this place can't be beat.

I have been going to Twelve for 2 years not to drink but for there great lunches. Value, quality, and most important consistency. They have a great menu and upon a frequent customers request great daily specials. I like to evaluate food because I like to cook , and this place is the best tasting and price around 34Th st.

I have been to 12 Bar a few times and I have always been satisfied. They play a good variety of music, including stuff from the 80's and 90's. There are a good number of people here so it is not too crowded. The drink prices are average for NYC. They have plenty of tvs ont he wall so that the men folk are entertained while the girls dance to the music!

We went here to party over the weekend and were upset to discover that our names were on the list> The doorman told if they were not on the list "Thats not his problem" . I asked to see the manager girl who I booked with and they said they had no manager who was female who worked there. We were told basically we were not welcome and that was it!!! Thats very bad form on there part and we shall not be visiting there venu in the future. Like all the other reviews say there doorstaff are rude!!!!!

Valentines day is never a fun night out alone in NYC, or anywhere, till now. Thank you for chasing away my blues and letting 12 be my Valentine. The bartender was so cute and kind and the couple next to me was a pleasure to be around. The music was so good I stayed for 4 drinks longer than expected. (Here's to the pretty Girl on the record patrol). I have to say, now I will always have a special place for 12. I live on the UES but will be making many trips to midtown now, even if its just for a drink or two. Thanks 12!

Went here for lunch and the service is good and the wait staff is friendly. They also have good drinks and the Caesar chicken salad was delicious. I like the atmosphere because it is roomy and not too crowded.

I've been to this place a few times to eat. The vibe changes dramatically from happy hour to late night. If you want to catch a game, this is also a good place for that. The food is good, the specials are great, and the service is excellent. It's really a restaurant/grill/bar during happy hour and a very loud kinda hip-hop place in the late evening.

I like this place.
A place with 20 plasma tv's, huge selection of beer/liquor, and a really relaxed chill scene.
The food is above average bar food complemented by 24 draft beers and the staff is friendly as they come.
Crowd was mixed and music was top 40.

Bar Xii is a really good spot to go on a Saturday night. Why is it called a bar and not a club though? We danced all night and partied like we would in a club. The food is amazing! I never had such good "bar" food before. The drinks were strong as can be and we got them quick. The crowd is a little B&T but not the fighting type or loser group that you see at other places. They had a female DJ and she was really good. We were all suprised by her, she was better than most DJ's even at the hot spots. Best of all there is NO COVER! I am sure I will visit again its a nice suprise to find in Murray Hill.

If you like, TV, beer, and sports, I think this is your place. There is a plasma on every inch of this place, even on the beer taps!
My friend is waitress at Bar XII and seems to enjoy working there. Other than the two fist fights that broke out during the evening and the oddly places bachelorette party (c'mon ladies, how about using a little more class on your last night of freedom?), we had a pretty fun night. Beware the B&T crowd, because it can get pretty thick with that. I think the reason there were so many fights is because when you mix booze and testosterone and Jersey, you can get into a bit of trouble..
but I recommend this for the sports fan or the chick that wants to date a sports fan. And the waitresses rock too!

The food here is very good, especially the steak salad and reasonably priced considering that they charge you $5.00 for a beer, which is kind of high. Usually, the food is overpriced and the beer is cheap. Lots of tv's to watch games however they don't do the best job of putting different games on. The staff is friendly however it can be quite difficult to get a hold of someone behind the bar to serve you.

I was there last Saturday and all I can say is that this place is great. I got there around 7:30 just so i can pick a good spot for the ND game.. I was amazed of all the plasma's they had and beautiful girls. I went with a bunch of people and there was plenty of room for all of us to watch the game. The bartenders hooked us up big time with drinks every couple of rounds and the drink prices are very reasonable. By around 10 o clock I was completly smashed and must of fell a good 2-3 times, then by around 2 i had to be put in a cab cause i could barely stand. The bill at the end of the night was around $500 which was very reasonable considering we had about 15 of us there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. Be back soon as long as I am aloud...

For a man who watches a lot of tv and a lot of sports, this place is like heaven to me. Its probally one of the best places I know to watch any game I'm looking for. TV's everywhere you turn around, tv's on the beer taps . . . its wonderful. Best of all, the waitresses are cute too. I usually go for a game and end up staying the night. Damn jaeger bombs keep you going!

Bar Twelve is such a hot spot and, by far, my favorite place to hang out after work, on the weekends, whenever!! The bartenders are fun, friendly and keep the drinks flowing! The food is awesome! All the plasmas TVs ensure that you can catch whatever game you are into...that is, if you can take your eyes off of all the beautiful people that Bar Twelve attracts!

When you go, be sure to ask for the manager, Gabi, she takes great care of everyone!! See you there..

I had my Birthday party here August 19th. What a night!!
They reserved an area in the back room and all my guests were on the guest list - no wait at the door. I was given a wristband free of charge which entitled me to drink free for the night.
I thought it would be house liquor but no, Gray Goose all night! The DJ was Chucky Brown and he was awesome. The girls on the floor made sure our glasses were full all night and doorman "Big Up" was the best. A great night in a great venue. I would highly recommend this venue for a party and I can't wait to try it for Sunday football, my friends say it's the best bar in the hill when it comes to sports.

This is a review based on going for karaoke and not to watch a game. It's probably a great place to watch a game.

My friends and I were jazzed to find a new place that had karaoke because we have yet to find a great karaoke bar in New York. Full of expectations, we got a table and ordered some drinks. Unfortunately, it went down hill from there.

There were almost no books for the karaoke, and the ones they had looked as if they had been dragged behind the cross town bus. When the show started, the sound level was deafening, which is dumb because Bar XII is just not that big a venue. When I went up to sing, it was even LOUDER on the stage, so much so that you could barely hear yourself. Also, the sound had a veru muddy quality to it. Nothing like a loud, muddy sound sytem to bring out the best in the singers. The music played between singers was even louder, but at least it was awful.

The karaoke host seemed like a nice enough guy, but their CAVS system will only play what's in the machine, so don't bother bringing your own discs.

I give it a five 'cause it has potential, but they need to learn sound mixing and to make up for the deficiencies in their system overall. And spend fifty dollars and make up some decent books.

I came to Bar Twelve last Saturday for playoffs and it was amazing. We walked in and eventhough the place was packed, they were so so sweet and somehow managed to put together a table for me and my 4 friends when the place was absoluetly packed! I serioulsy can't say enough about the service!! The waitresses were adorable in their "referee jerserys" with personalities to match....We ended up staying until closing b/c of them! Bar Twelve is now my regular spot for all sports, ok so maybe the waitresses are a plus too!!

Had my bday party there on Final Four weekend. They set aside as many tables as I needed and held them for my group. When we finally got there at the beginning of the 2nd game, the staff was fantastic. And on top of that, there is no better place in the city to watch a sporting event, be it a Little League game or the Super Bowl. After the games, they take the tables away and play great music. This place is a 10, and Ill be having my bday there every year!

This place is straight out of the sharper image. TV's on the beer tap's and hand dryers that really dry your hands! Huge selection of beers and great frozen cocktails. We stoped by Twelve on a Thursday night for food and ended up staying late....
The food was great and the drinks even better. What started out as an after work drink finished up a wild party.
Twelve is a Lounge/Bar with enough of a lounge vibe to make it a great late night destination in Murray Hill.

This bar is exactly what a good sports bar should be! loads of flat screen tv's showing all of the live games. Excellent food & great service! The beer on tap is also very good!

Once the sport is over, the TV's are shut off & the DJ starts playing. Great atmosphere.

Loved it. This is a great bar. Beer's cold, people are cool. And it is BEAUTIFUL.

Had an awesome time at Twelve. Attentive bartenders, fun crowd and the NUMEROUS Plasma TV's are definitely a plus! Would definitely go back again.

I have never seen so many Plasma TVs! Even the beer taps have 5" inch plasma TVs! A great new bar in a convenient Murray Hill location. Very nice interior and friendly staff. great menu too!
