Omni Ob Gyn

We are sorry to hear this patient had a bad experience. Pregnancy can often be a stressful time for many women. Group B strep is very common and easily treated with antibiotics. Many women have this as part of their normal flora. Presence in the urine just means a heavier colonization with this bacteria. Choroid plexus cysts are also a fairly common finding on ultrasound and may sometimes be associated with other more serious abnormalities. When discovered, our practice is to thoroughly counsel our patients, and seek consultation from a high risk OB physician. Another ultrasound is usually performed at this time. These cysts often resolve spontaneously. We wish this patient the best for the remainder of her pregnancy.

I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and looking for a new ob/gyn. All the "dr's"and the cnm's I have met are very uncaring. When I first started seeing this group I had group b strep in my urine. Someone from the office called a few days later and told me I had to take an antibiotic. This cnm wouldn't tell me why I would have the strep in my urine or give me any information. I should've switched then but I thought this was just a fluke thing. Now I had the worst week of my life due to the fact that the dr told me my child had choroid plexus cysts in its brain. These cysts are soft markers for trisomy 18. When the dr told me I was at the office by myself and was terribly distraught. she didn't give my information about what was going on. She told me and left the room after I started to cry. She was the absolute worst dr I have ever been to . The outcome of the cysts, what cysts? I had an ultrasound done a week later and there is nothing wrong with my child. It is a perfect baby. please do yourself a favor and find a better dr so your pregnancy expierence isn't ruined like mine has been so far!!! THey have changed their name to OMNI Ob/Gyn
