For all the posters that rate HALO a "1", I have this to say..."Stop your wining." Let's call a spade a spade here. Halo is for people who are comfortable in their own skin and do not seek out environments where they set themselves up for failure. While detractors call it another "trendy, velvet rope wannabe cool club," they completely miss the point. These are the same winers that wrote editorials in college lamenting the social ills that fraternity and sorotity life bring to a campus. My point is, don't ruin the fun for everyone just becasue you forgot how to. Of note, I enjoy going to a local bar just as much as fgoing to a club. It's about diversity of options. Halo is a great place/

Pros: Girls, nice crowd, Drinks off the hook

Cons: alot of guys, bring your own group

Halo is a glorified basement with a rude staff.
Simply put, do not go here. It's tiny, uncomfortable, and the staff makes it seem that they are doing you a favor by serving you.

My wife and I checked out Halo two Saturdays ago while visiting from Southern Cal. We got there around 12 and the found the Citysearch user reviews are accurate. Velvet rope is in effect. Bottles are ridiculously expensive. Drinks aren't much better ($26 for a Vodka Red Bull and a Vanilla Stoli with coke BEFORE the tip). Lots of wanna bes (wanna be a model, wanna be cool . . .). Ridiculous outfits worn by arrogant and pretentious people. We loved it!!!! The poeple watching was outstanding, the music was cool, the dark basement feel was great, and we had a blast. If you aren't full of yourself and can go in with confidence and a sense of humour, this place is worth the time and money. Definitely a fun and entertaining night.

I was looking at the negative ratings and realized that everyone was complaining about the pretentiousness of this place or the cost of it. These are the very people Halo is trying to weed out of their establishment. I love this place. It's always a sure thing. It's a place for beautiful and/or successful people who aren't concerned with how much a bottle costs because they don't have to. If you want a down-to-earth environment where everyone "knows your name" you're in the wrong place.

Cons: Some losers slip in, Late start, Sometimes too crowded

Wow! Is the first thing that came to my head. I walked in thinking it was going to be your typical(overpriced,over-rated,B.S.) lounge. Well was I wrong. I couldn't believe the eye-candy that this place enveloped. This is a place for both men and women who appreciate the finer things in life. It can be a bit pretentious but well worth it. I had reservations about the exorbiant $$ for a bottle and a table but it was well worht it. I've spent just as much at clubs in Miami for a beat scene and a bunchof silicone. Anyway, in short, if you can make it through the front door.....GO. It'll be worth it. Service can be a bit nagging so I do recomend the table and bottle.

Guys, do not take your dates here! This place is expensive, the drinks are awful, and decor is not all that impressive. Go else where!!!

In order to stay in the club my small group of friends was forced to buy a $300 bottle of vodka!!! The bouncers were totally pushy and rude, and the crowd was a sausage fest with maybe 2 or 3 hot girls. The club itself was tiny and the decor was entirely unimpressive. Cover was $15 and this place had no right thinking it was cool enough to make those kinds of demands. I had a terrible time. Perhaps the only redeeming factor was that the female bouncer who looked like Brittney Spears later took over the dance floor -- but that still didn't make up for how much this place SUCKS!!!!!

The first thing you'll notice walking into halo is the sexiness of the space: dark velvet lounge furniture with rich orange backlighting creates a smooth, high-class atmosphere. For those able to spend $300+ on an evening, order a bottle and check out the beautiful people. If you just want to go out for a few drinks, Halo's atmosphere ups the prices a little to around $10/drink, but they're not watered down and they have some great cocktails. Check it out!

A smooth, swanky place to go get drinks and chill on velvet couches. The food is in lounge-sized servings and not full dinner portions, even though they charge normal restaurant prices, but the drinks are strong and the place was filled with pretty girls on a Friday night. I had their sushi tuna in tempura (really good), and we ordered a bottle of Vodka. I'm a dance-club person by nature so the tiny floor did me no good, but after a while it got pretty packed so I couldn't get my funk on anyway. If you want to groove out, hit up Exit or something, but if you want to chill out with the crew and be seen check out Halo.
